Villa Maria was available, but had a rather low rating on yelp. I would like to Emphatically say that this is a wonderful facility. All of the staff have been available, knowledgeable, and willing to listen to me as I explained how to best serve my mother. I did not get lip service, I did not get rolled eyes. And when I showed up unannounced, my mother was being cared for very well. They did a great job identifying her needs and providing all of the appropriate specialists. It was clear that their goal was to get her well enough to go home. They did a wonderful job. I would not hesitate to send a family member there or to go there myself should I need such a facility.

There is a fact of it being understaffed as well they sit on the cellphones! I have seen aid drop off food and leave it there and by the time they came back .. the jello was all over this lady who was very weak. For the expense paid .. it just not worth it. We took in food so our family member would be able to eat. Ensure drinks etc. All to find out that after our family member passed away They return most of the food and drinks There was missing property and the list goes on! We almost lost him :( But he pulled through and did his rehab here. When visiting him I noticed what a nice facility Arroy Grande is.... hardwood floor, everything clean, facility look very new. The nurse are all very nice, actually I even joked to my dad that how pretty all the nurses where. He laughed and agreed. I visited on a Sunday with in that time the nurse came in at least 4-5 times, either to give him medication, take his order for lunch, explain to him and us how his monday rehab day will start. They creat alot of interation with the patients. They are even encouraged to go eat in the cafetieria to have their lunch or dinner. I only want the best for my father so my ears where up and I was watching how this place ran. Every thing seemed great. They all seamed clean, organized, Well trained and treated not only my dad but the other patients with respect but with direction. This was key ! So many times you hear of rehab places that are just aweful... but I think very highly of Arroyo Grande Hospital Rehabilitation Center. I would highly recommend any friend or family member to have their rehab here. Thank you staff for taking good care of my father ! :)

Recovery Ranch will not accept my phone calls and has ignored my certified letters. They claim to profess the 12 Steps of AA. Honesty is a huge part of AA. They have been completely dishonest. Warning do not send a love one to Recovery Ranch.

One of the reasons Medicare said that they were refusing to extend my girlfriends stay was because she refused to get PT. All she wanted was to get her pain meds(see two above) before getting physical therapy. Not an unreasonable request. I could go on and on but why?

I'm guessing Dr. Moelleken didn't want to "step on anybody's toes." Don't waste your time with them.

Take a chance to read the reviews from ex employees, that will tell you a lot. Living there was a nightmare, the houses are ruled by the most dominant addict in the house. I could go on and on about some of the crazy things that I went through there but I'll leave that to other reviewer 's or maybe send in a part two. What made me reach out was receiving a bill from them for $400.00 six days before my one year anniversary of sobriety, a little anniversary present for me...so bad. Just remember it's all about the money, that is all they really care about. Be careful, ask questions and prepare for the worst.
