These guys…read morehave went above and beyond my expectations to make sure that my home security camera system was perfect. Their equipment is durable, reliable, and in high quality HD. I also added the PTZ HD dome to my camera system. Although it cost a little more than the stationary HD cameras, the results are amazing. They also set the system up so I receive an email if the any camera sees motion, at NO addition charge!! There is of course a free app that you can download to watch live streaming video right from your phone. I can even control the PTZ from my phone, which is awesome! I can now leave my house without a doubt, that every square inch is being monitored, and recorded. Perfect example - After just two months of have my security cameras a construction company was building a house next to mine. The superintendent noticed that I had security cameras, and asked if I could review my video because he had a stack of about 50 plywood sheets stolen over the weekend. I called Code Red Systems to get their advanced help. Without hesitation they were able to locate the thief in action on my PTZ. Turned over the video, and the guy was caught! I did have a small glitch about every 10 seconds on one of the camera. I called and spoke with Justin about it, and with hesitation he said he was going to replaced the camera. I didn't think it was a big deal, but Justin wanted it cameras to be perfect. He came out and in about 15 minutes the camera was replaced and has been working great ever since. To top it off, while he was there he helped me set up my wifi extender for my surround sound speakers outside! I will never go without a security camera system again. I recently moved in to a new (to me) home and wanted to find a company to help me with my…read moretechnology goals. I had previously taken a DIY approach to my A/V and security systems, but wanted to make my new place fully integrated from a technology standpoint. I started researching companies and got quotes from several before making my final decision. I found Kelltech Systems by searching the internet, looking for a Control4 dealer in the Dallas areas. They were Platinum rated by Control4 and had good reviews online, so I gave them a call. Kyle is the lead sales person there and he came out to my home to meet with me in person to talk through what I wanted to accomplish. We discussed options for putting music throughout the home (my home happened to be pre-wired for speakers, but none were installed), surveillance cameras so we could see the perimeter of the house, an alarm system with remote control from an app (alarm.com), and some light home automation including lighting control for some key lights, automated shades for my master bedroom, and thermostat integration. Kyle answered all of my questions on these topics and educated me on some ideas I wasn't aware of (like having the alarm sensors trigger lights to come on when I come home). He sent me a detailed, written proposal a few days later, and made the changes I needed to the proposal so that I could move forward. The install crew that came out was prepared for the work, knew exactly what was to be done, and carried out the work quickly and professionally. They trained me on the system so that I felt comfortable using the features and they left my home very clean, despite having cut in new speakers into the ceiling (a messy job). All that to say, if you're looking for a competent, professional, and friendly company for your A/V and security systems, Kelltech is a great resource. I will say they weren't the cheapest bid I received, but I felt like they understood what I was wanting to accomplish and weren't trying to low-ball me with their proposal. Good work Kelltech!

One of our neighbors recommended Hawk Security. I called a few others, but felt more comfortable with Hawk. So I scheduled an in home estimate. The day of our scheduled appointment Peter showed up. He was on time, and very knowledgeable about securing our 7500 square foot home. He made great recommendations, without a bunch of upselling. The day of our installation went great! Mark the installer was very friendly, and hard working. He never complain about all the work, which took him 10 hours to perform. Once he was done, he patiently showed me how to work the system, which wasn't easy because I'm no Techie. Later that day Peter called to make sure I was completely satisfied. Very rare, as it seems most places are done with you once they get paid. I even had to call Peter again a few weeks after installation with a question, and he got right back to me with an answer. Hawk Security did not only do a great job, but their attitude and customer service was excellent! I highly recommend them.

TERRIBLE COMPANY STAY AWAY Most terrible company ever. I…read morebought a house that the previous owners had hawk security system. We decided that we didn't need it so we never signed up for their member ship. however all their gear and systems are still hooked up to the house, they didnt bother to come get it. The monitor in the wall would ring every other day or so and would ask for a code to stop it. I never even got any code from them and when I didnt sign up I imagined they would just turn everything off. That brings be to today, all of a sudden in the middle of the day the monitor powers the whole house with a fire alarm and wouldn't stop unless I put in the code. My six month old baby is screaming because it woke him up from a nap. I immediately call hawk security so they can help me turn it off, as it is their system that is doing it. the lady transfers me to support and no one ever answered after waiting for over 5 min. Meanwhile there is an alarm blasting through the whole house. I hang up and call again and the lady just starts telling me to unplug the monitor from the wall, I keep telling her there is no plug and she just keeps saying that there is. I explain to her that the wire is run through the wall. then she tells me in that case there should be a box plugged into the house somewhere, I explain to her there is not a box and that we barley have anything plugged in since we havent lived here very long and we havent been able to buy much furniture. She keeps speaking to me like im an idiot that there is a box plugged in somewhere and I just have to find it to get the system to stop. After looking through the whole house and not finding said box I ask her if they can send a tech out here to unplug the whole system, she said they only do that to people who pay. I ask her if I pay someone to come out to unplug it and she says they dont do that. She tells me she has other people on the line and has to go then just hangs up on me. I work in real estate and that is just not how you treat people especially if you're a company that provides a service. I ended up just cutting the system from the wall and creating a big hole in the drywall that now has to be repaired. I am still shocked at the way I was spoken to. If I could give zero stars I would. I have no words.
