Over that time, Dr. Brian Mananquil and the entire Bella Vita Dental team have consistently gone above and beyond to make sure every concern I've had was addressed with patience, transparency, and genuine care. My treatment has been pretty extensive, to say the least. Dr. Brian has handled everything from implants and sinus lifts to numerous rounds of Invisalign and refinements, along with all of my general fillings, crowns, and other dental work. You name it--I've probably had to get it done; my teeth needed the whole kitchen sink. Throughout the entire process, he has always taken the time to clearly explain my options, answer every question I had, and make adjustments whenever I wanted to explore different approaches. I never once felt rushed or dismissed, which is incredibly important when you're making decisions about major dental work. What stands out most is how accommodating and patient he has been. Even when I've been very detail-oriented about my results, he's always been willing to work with me to get things exactly right. That level of commitment and professionalism is rare. The office is also consistently well-run, the staff is friendly and organized, and appointments are handled smoothly. TL;DR: The billing service that Bella Vita employs filed 2 insurance claims with incorrect billing…read moreinformation, which were denied by my insurance, and are refusing to update that info and resubmit the claim (as recommended by my insurance) and are leaving me with an outstanding $1167 bill. I was a patient with Bella Vita for about 5 years until I moved away last October. I decided to start Invisalign with them in May 2025 and paid my quoted amount ($2411) in full the day treatment started. To my surprise, in April 2026 I received a call that my claim had been denied by my insurance but they would help me out and file another claim that would hopefully be approved by Delta Dental but if that claim was denied, they would file an appeal for me. I got a text on May 11, 2026 that I had an outstanding balance that amounted to ~50% ($1167) of what I originally paid at the start of my treatment so I called to ask what happened and Emily at the front desk told that they filed an appeal for my denied claim but couldn't answer any insurance or billing questions due to the fact that their billing department is not done "in house" so they would have to relay all my questions to a separate service. The office also refused to give me any contact information for their billing department so I'm forced to play telephone with the office and their billing department but also said they could not tell me why my claims had been denied. I was, however, told that my benefits for ortho had been maxed out. I called my insurance immediately after that initial call and they told me that, no, my claim was not denied due to my coverage being maxxed out (it has not been at that point) but because there were errors with the billing information on the claims that were submitted. The insurance rep also notified me that they had no appeal on file, so either there is some technical issue on the insurance side or the office lied about filing an appeal for that 2nd denied claim. The insurance rep told me it was an easy fix and that the office's billing department just need to update that billing info, resubmit, and it should be approved. From May until August of this year, I've called 6 times asking for updates and relaying the message that all they have to do is update their incorrect billing info and resubmit the claim and it should be approved. Everytime I call, I'm met with "The claim was already filed and denied twice so there's not much we can do, but we'll ask the billing department again." I've tried asking for the practice manager and have been told "she's not at her desk but she will call you later" and I never receive that call. All in all, be wary of this place. Since their billing is not done in house, no one at the office can answer specific billing questions and refuse to give contact info for that billing office so you're forced to play telephone with them and their billing department if you ever have an insurance issue.

So I had to search for a new dentist, which is never easy. But luckily for me I found LVD on Yelp and was impressed with their 4.9/5 rating and they're only a 10 minute drive from home. Lots of free parking too which is nice. Their office has a soothing, calm and welcoming vibe and the entire staff is very personable and friendly. And while getting my procedures done, the dentist, dental assistant and hygienist were all very skilled and professional. Each took their time explaining the procedures and answering my questions. They genuinely seemed to care about doing the best job they could for me. And the ladies at the front desk were great at explaining my insurance coverage and co-pays, etc. If you're looking for a new dental office, I think you'll be pleased with Dr Lisa and her entire staff at Linda Vista Dentistry.

So, today is a visit that is way past due. I have a fear of dentists. I have had several…read moreexperiences and tooth sensitivity that has caused this fear. Well, today, the staff greeted me upon arrival. I was checked in and then asked to wait in the patient waiting room. The waiting room is clean, quiet, and calming before a visit. There is event a purified water dispenser with little cups for filling up. The dental technician/asst named Abby called my name for my appointment to begin. She greeted me and then she roomed me. Once in the room, she took internal photos of my teeth and mouth, gave me a blood pressure wristband , and also administered the saliva bacteria test/lab. I got the results within 10-15 mins on my online Dental MyChart record, they are quick here! Abby then received permission from the dentist to take me to get my x-rays. They have a standup machine that's like taking an oral CT Scan 360° photo of your mouth. Then we had the regular dental x-rays where you have to bite down on the trays with the xray manual camera. I really thought it was cool because they also offered to clean my orthodontic retainer while I was here. It literally took only 15 or 20 minutes and it has been cleaner than I've ever seen it since I got it 7-8 years ago. Thanks! Once done with all of my intake tasks, I was able to meet my new dentist, Dr Wu. I explained to her my concerns, and she was very good about examining my mouth and being gentle as well as giving me all of the information that I needed during her exam. I have to say this is probably the best dentist I've ever encountered so far. Her demeanor is wonderful and she does a really good job at articulating and explaining everything that she's thinking about or diagnosing in your mouth. I did also appreciate that she reviewed my saliva bacterial test results and that she gave really good insight on some of the things that the results mean. Doctor Who has a way of making you not feel bad about your situation in your mouth and I really appreciate her for that. Some people are really natural about positive bedside manner, and Dr. Woo was definitely one of those people. Thanks! Since I felt so comfortable, I have agreed to continue and get my work done here. Once Dr. Woo was done with me, she was able to introduce me to Tom who was able to give me all the information that I needed for my treatment plan and everything that Dr. Wu described and explained to me about her course of treatment. Tom is very pleasant and welcoming, and he is also the same person who checked me in and made me feel comfortable for my visit. I like his positive vibe, it matches Dr. Wu's positivity. I will update my review after I get my dental work done, but I'm very happy that I chose to come here. Today as a new patient, I got a brand new toothbrushing kit, which includes some really cool stuff. My daughter has been a patient at Kensington Dental for many years. I cannot recommend this office based on my recent experience…read more What started as a recommendation to replace a filling with an inlay turned into a month long ordeal of pain and, eventually, an emergency root canal. Throughout the process, I often felt dismissed and rushed. Despite returning multiple times with ongoing pain, my concerns were not fully addressed until a crown was suggested. While I appreciated a same day appointment, it took four hours, during which I was left alone in the chair for over an hour without anyone checking in on me with a drilled open tooth as my local anesthesia wore off. When the pain continued after the crown, I sought a second opinion from an endodontist. They discovered my root was dying, a possibility never mentioned at PB Smiles, and immediately put me on antibiotics. I truly wonder how long it would have taken PB smiles to catch this infection had I not taken it upon myself to find another opinion. The endodontist also told me that the crown was poorly seated and would likely need replacement within a few years and told me in no uncertain terms that I should that I should find a new general dentist. While I understand procedures have risks, the lack of empathy and the failure to investigate the source of my pain led to weeks of unnecessary suffering. And I honestly wonder if the inlay and subsequent crown were even necessary. If you value feeling heard and receiving thorough clinical care, I would suggest looking elsewhere
