At Dentique today for a dental implant, so I was with the periodontist, Dr Bita Farhoumand. She was excellent. Procedure was painless. Dr. F has excellent bedside manner and had me in and out quickly. The entire staff here is excellent. The place uses the most up to date technology. Didn't have a great experience here. Found the office to be very pushy and sales focused to the point where I felt pretty uncomfortable as a patient. My first visit, they talked me into getting some sort of package including two cleanings but due to difficulty scheduling, I was never even able to use the second cleaning. They put a ton of pressure on me to get an additional service of a "deep cleaning" and kind of gave me the runaround when I was trying to schedule my regular cleaning which I feel is part the reason I never was able to get the second cleaning. Who wants to call and try to make an appointment somewhere when you know they are going to try to pressure and talk you into something you've been super clear about not wanting? This review is regarding my treatment by Dentique's preferred periodontist, Dr. Bita Farhoumand, as well as Dentique's handling of my case. I want to share the humiliating, painful experience that I have had with these healthcare providers, in the hopes that something similar does not happen to anyone else. To summarize: Dentique referred me for a consult with their in-house periodontist, Dr. Bita Farhoumand. Dr. Bita was very eager to accept my payments, but not as eager to review the xrays that she took or my treatment records. Had she done so, she would have seen that dental implants were not an appropriate option given the level of bone loss that I already had. She pulled my front 4 teeth with the promise I would leave the same-day with a full set of teeth. There was no discussion of a Plan B or even consideration that there might be complications. Unfortunately, I walked out of the office that day without my teeth. A failed bone graft and multiple failed gum grafts occurred in the months afterwards. Along with Dr. Bita, Dentique gas-lit my concerns and took no responsibility for the outcomes. They denied me any refund for these failed procedures- a total of nearly $25,000. One year later, I am still without my front teeth. I have needed to start completely over in treatment with new providers, first to repair the damage that was inflicted by Dr. Bita. I have seen an oral plastic surgeon as well as a prosthodontist, both of whom were astounded by the level of carelessness and/or incompetence that was demonstrated with my care. Dentique's upscale office and bougie décor led me to mistakenly assume that they would be more capable than other dental providers. Unfortunately that assumption led me to what has by far been the worst experience I've ever had with a healthcare provider. The only positive was my dental hygienist, Nadia, who was kind, genuine, and truly cared for her patients. As Dentique appears to do in response to negative online reviews, they will probably claim that they handled my case with utmost care, etc. etc. along with other insincere comments or excuses. Office Ambiance: a wonderfully aesthetic office with amazing stsff. I LOVE my hygienist Nadia and their office manager Brandi. I have gone here for the past 2 years and it has been a consistently lovely experience from everyone, who seem to really care about their patients. The waiting area and offices are well curated and so clean- I adore the modern vibe and of course, the pink throughout the waiting room. The waiting room is so comfy and I could stay there for a while but I fortunately I have literally never had to wait more than even 2 minutes for my appointment. Truly, this dentist practice has perfected the art of seeing their patients in a timely manner! Any staff that I have interacted with thus far have been so kind and caring. Brandi, the office manager is so great and she really runs the place well; she also understands the nuances of insurance and billing. I appreciate that they always send confirmation texts and they can text if you prefer that method of communication as well. Dental work: 10/10 !!! I highly recommend Nadia as a hygienist; I truly I think she is one of a kind, and the best hygienist out there. I am soo happy to have her as my hygienist! It's a funny story because I had Nadia at a previous dentist office, where apparently she only temped on certain days, but I consistently asked for her there. I inadvertently ended up following her here: I had no idea this was her main facility until I switched dentists and serendipitously was assigned to her at my first cleaning visit. Imagine my delight to have found her and found this place! She is seriously the sweetest person and most genuine ( outside of even being a hygienist). She always lets me know what she is doing when she is working on my teeth. When she is cleaning my teeth, she has a calm demeanor and is so fun to talk to. Nadia has over 12 years of experience in the field and it is apparent in her work: she is the most gentle and hands down best hygienist I have ever had. I don't normally have sensitive teeth to begin with, but in my experiences in the past (from NYC to SD) I definitely would say, Nadia ranks number 1 and does great work on my teeth. She really takes the time to go over my history and seems to remember so many details, which I feel has really contributed to my oral health. Since being with her and Dr. Rahbar, I have had had NO cavities (I have hx of always having cavities most of the visits when I come in for dental work in the past). Thanks to the care team, I started a prescription anti cavity toothpaste regimen and have been sticking with my 6 month cleaning schedule. Nadia has also helped to reduce inflammation that occurred from an unfortunate series of events that happened with my wisdom teeth extraction from my previous dentist facility. Overall, Nadia is definitely highly recommended because she has the best patient bedsign manner and really understands people and how to be a gentle with your teeth while cleaning everything out, she really has your best interest at heart. if you are a person with sensitive teeth, she definitely has a gentle hand and would highly recommend her. Overall, the office is just catered to patients who have sensitivities and reducing traumatic experiences. You can tell they really care about their patients because they always offer me a blanket, their chairs come with a default massage setting (not too rough; It's just a gentle massage), and include sunglasses that they give you while they are cleaning your teeth which all help reduce any sort of anxieties you may have. massage). These small details are well thought out and make the dental experience lovely! I love the thought put into this office and the fact that it is women owned: doctor rahbar has been my favorite dentist, not only does she herself have a great smile but I feel that she really cares to train great staff and keep up with everyone to make sure that they are having their best smile and hygiene for moving forward. My teeth have never been healthier than when I have been coming to this office. I also appreciate that when my wisdom teeth debacle happened that she referred me straight to an oral surgeon and so far that referral has been amazing as well. So I feel that she has connections with really great people in the area, if you need anything beyond what she provides. Extra services: I have also had my teeth whitening done here with ZOOM and updated my retainers from metal/permanwnt ones to invitation and have really enjoyed these upgrades to my cosmetic and dental health ! Dentique is truly a one-of-a-kind office specializing in both cosmetic dentistry and regular dental stuff (cleanings, etc.) I've been going here for about 2 years now, and I could not be happier with the service I have been getting. The office is absolutely beautiful and feels more like a fancy spa than a dental office. Everyone who works there (they have an all female staff) goes way above and beyond to provide exceptional care in the kindest, most comforting way possible. Nadia, the hygienist, is truly special and I would travel hundreds of miles just to have her clean my teeth, if I had to! Recently, I had a "deep cleaning" done, and I went into the office absolutely terrified of the procedure based on everything I had heard/read online. Nadia was incredibly comforting throughout the whole time and made me feel so much calmer than I ever thought would be possible. As an added bonus, she also is extremely gentle and was able to do the whole procedure with just a topical anesthetic. Every patient has different needs, and that may not be possible for every person - but I was shocked how painless and easy this "scary" procedure was in my case. I will caution that because they really do care about the health of your teeth, gums, and bones - they will likely recommend procedures and things that while really important and helpful to maintaining your overall oral health, they likely will not be covered by most dental insurance plans. Most dental insurance plans only cover the bare minimum, unfortunately. So while this may not be the cheapest dentist in town, I truly believe it's the absolute best and you absolutely get what you pay for! read more

I am pretty embarrassed to say that it had been YEARS since my last dentist visit. I had some unresolved dental trauma after falling down the stairs and knocking my front teeth out as a kid. I was nervous and anxious when I finally made an appointment, knowing I would need work. It turned out to be the best decision I ever made. From the moment you walk in, you feel cared for. Can I give more than 5 stars? I've been a patient of Dr. Rahbar and her team for 8 or so months now and I have finished the majority of my treatment plan; just a few invisalign trays on my lower teeth to close some minor gaps that have appeared in the 14 years since I've had braces. So far, I have had multiple cleanings, deep cleanings, wisdom teeth extracted, crowns, and most recently underwent the process to get 10 upper veneers. I've been dreaming about the day I got them since I was 17 and got my braces off and noticed how destroyed my teeth were. I genuinely can't believe my reflection when I see my veneers. It's like the teeth I should have had if I had proper orthodontic intervention as a teenager and a movie star career.
