I previously received an IPL treatment at this office and the treatment itself was fine. During that visit, I scheduled my next appointment for 4:30 PM on a later date. On the day of my appointment, while driving there, I unfortunately got a flat tire. At 4:02 PM, I called the front desk to notify them of the situation and explained that I would call back later to reschedule because I was dealing with a tow truck and car trouble. Later that evening around 7 PM, I received a text saying that I had missed my appointment. I called again to reiterate that I didn't make it due to the flat tire and that I wanted to reschedule, but I reached voicemail and left a message. The following day, I received a text stating that I would be charged a $50 no-show fee because I did not give 24-hour notice. While I understand the purpose of cancellation policies, they should also allow for reasonable exceptions in situations that are clearly beyond a patient's control. What was most frustrating was that the office claimed there was no record of my 4:02 PM phone call, despite the fact that I provided screenshots of my call logs, photos of the flat tire, and a receipt from the tire repair shop as proof of what happened. None of this seemed to matter. As a physician myself, I understand the importance of respecting a practice's time and policies. However, I would never treat a patient this way in the face of clear, documented extenuating circumstances. This situation felt less like a misunderstanding and more like a rigid policy being enforced without any consideration for the circumstances. Experiences like this make it difficult to support a business that appears unwilling to extend basic understanding to its clients. I've had many massages over the last 15+ years and this was by the far the most uncomfortable massage I've ever had. I've been getting deep tissue massage and myofascial massages my whole life and this is the worst one of my life. I have never experienced anyone literally trying to hurt me during my massage. Unbelievable, my body was profusely sweating from the pain and the massage therapist had no body awareness at all. There were several options on Groupon so I went with the business that had the best ratings within a decent distance to where I live. It's been 43 days as of today that I purchased the Groupon and I have yet to make an appointment as NO ONE picks up the phone, calls back, texts back and the online booking doesn't have anything for the Groupon. What a JOKE!!! So unprofessional and just a scam literally. Customers shouldn't have to try so hard to chase a business down as it should be the other way around. It has been one of the worst experiences I have encountered after decades of injectables. I went on 3/13 to use my Groupon for Restylane and Dysport. Never received the Dysport, instead was upsold into purchasing units of Botox. In my previous experience with fillers, I could see an immediate improvement. This time was not the case, in fact my mouth looked worse. But I gave it the benefit of the doubt and said maybe it's just swollen and will get better with time. I gave it a full month before contacting them to say I was not al all happy with the results. They said no problem we will set up a time with the nurse to see what we can do. I get a text the morning of the appointment stating the nurse was sick and they need to cancel. I text back stating it is very hard for me to take time off since I work strictly commissions and was very costly for me to take off the afternoon for this appointment but that is how unhappy I was with the results. At that time I asked for a refund, to which they responded they would work on that for me. I follow up five days later in text to which they told me to reach out to Dawn. I explained what happened to Dawn and how my mouth has now down lines and also not symmetrical. She had then asked me to text her pictures and asked for me to redo the pictures a few times. After the fourth picture, she then sends me an agreement I signed stating the service was non refundable. Never responded to the pictures, which I feel is very telling. I asked why she had sent this instead of responding to the pictures to which she said "It's your financial agreement. All you need to do is read it. You did sign it and put it in the bookkeeping department next week when they come in." I said why did you have me send you these pictures if you didn't care to actually resolve the issue and then never responded. And haven't heard from anyone since. So now I am left with fillers that actually made my mouth look worse and older and Botox that did nothing, and paid for Dysport I never received. LONG REVIEW, BUT PLEASE READ! Back in January of 2020, I decided to give myself a birthday present and take care of my dark under eyes. As I was looking on Groupon I came across a deal for filler at AESTHETIC MEDICINE CENTER in Hinsdale. On the day of my apt, I arrived and waited a while. Once they finally called me back, I was brought into an office type room directly adjacent to the main waiting area. I spoke with Dawn who proceeded to point out all of the other areas that I needed work on besides the one that I was there for. She was trying to up-sell me on more filler. I explained that I was only there for my under eye area which I was very self-concise about. She stated that I would definetly need more than one syringe of product. (Dawn is an esthetician, not a RN) I went into the treatment room where Aga walked in. I showed her my under eye area. She told me that I would need a lot of product to correct this area. I asked her if she had done this treatment often when she replied that she had worked with many big doctors downtown and knows what she's doing. She started her injections, which was done with a regular needle that wasn't injected deep. I've since found out that under eye filler isn't supposed to be closer to the surface. It should be injected deep. She placed 1 cc under EACH eye . Almost immediately I began to swell and bruise. She explained to me that was normal. I looked in the mirror and was horrified. They told me it should get better and sent me home with an ice pack. I arrived home about an hour later, both of my eyes were so swollen that my vision was starting to become obstructed. I called the office the next morning and they wanted to see me in the office the next week. I walked around looking like I had 2 black eyes for over a week, the filler created more darkening under my eyes since the product was placed so superficially. When I went back, Michelle gave me a product to dissolve the filler. She wanted me to come back in another 2 weeks for more dissolving. I have been back a total of 4-5 times to have the all of the filler dissolved. My last apt was last month where all of the remaining filler was dissolved. I explained to the owner, Dr Anna, that I felt very upset and that I felt like I was taken advantage of. She persisted in telling me that the stuff to dissolve the filler is very expensive. As if that was somehow going to make me feel okay with the whole situation. The nurse Michelle told me that she would talk to the owners, who come to find out are the doctor and Aga, my injector, and ask them to give me a refund. That sounded like a fair deal since all of my product was dissolved due to Aga's incompetence. I was given the run around for a few weeks until I finally told the "office manager" who was just telling me whatever she thought would get me off the phone the fastest, that if I didn't hear from someone I was going to call the BBB, report them to the town of hinsdale and whomever else I needed to do I would be taken seriously. I finally received a call from the owner Aga who finally agreed to a refund. This was after she hung up on me. I have a voicemail as proof from her AND a text message. But now they won't respond to my calls or messages. This place is a total scam and has very shady practices. I've reported them to the BBB as well as other accrediting organizations. I'm not even sure if Aga is an actual RN because she's listed on their website as a patient coordinator. This is the 3rd business name and location all because of shady practices. I advised him I was not comfortable to receive a massage due to his behavior. He began to follow me to the lobby while yelling and threatening me stating "you don't know who i am" . Prior to my first (and only) appointment, I completed all of the extensive new patient forms online only to be told when I arrived for my visit that I would have to complete them all again in person. I paid $288 for Dysport injections on 8/14 and was told to return in 2 weeks for a follow-up/touch-up. My 2 week follow-up appointment was cancelled due to staffing issues so I rescheduled it 4 weeks after my original injections (9/11). I received automated confirmation texts three times with incorrect dates listed on them. I called on the morning of 9/11 to confirm my appointment which ended up being scheduled for the wrong date despite confirming it twice with two different staff members. This office clearly has organizational and scheduling issues, not to mention I saw absolutely no results with the Dysport injections. I have had Dysport before at other Med-Spas and had very good results but this entire experience was very disappointing and underwhelming. I had subscribed to their monthly massage package. My credit card was stolen and 2 months went by without anyone notifying me to update my credit card. I gave them a new credit card the next time I was in their office and paid for two months' service. Not only did the woman at the front desk not inform me of their $35 late fee policy, but she actually processed the credit card transaction that included this late fee and handed me the receipt for signature. It was only when I asked her about the extra charge that she informed me of their policy. I told her that I had never heard of a fee for a declined credit card payment and she shrugged her shoulders and said 'well I don't know what to tell you.' Even after I cancelled my monthly service, she was not willing to waive the $35 fee. I called the next day to speak to the owner. The same woman as the previous day gave the phone to someone named Mary who said that she would have the owner call me back to discuss. Several days went by with no phone call. I called back today and spoke to Aga, who committed to credit this payment on the spot but never did so. I made several calls for help before simply disputing this fee with my credit card company. I had a similar run-in with the same woman told me that I even though I pay for one massage/month with my package, they would not allow me to carry them over to the next month. When I told her that this was a benefit that Massage Envy extended to their customers, her response was 'we're not Massage Envy.' So I lost a couple of months of massages due to this. I had been a long-time customer of this establishment and have never missed one payment until this happened. So I originally went to this place for the first time September 2018 with Groupon for hair removal six sessions. I started the sessions and at first the first couple were going fine so I decided to purchase other treatments for something different. I requested Kybella injections (three viles) and then six skin tightening to kind of go with the Kybella under the chin. I put the hair removal on hold because the kybella Rep said it would be best to finish out the Kybella treatments before doing laser or skin tightening. First of all why is it that the staff doesn't know this stuff when I first went there for my first two Bella treatment.I felt like a guinea pig everyone that was there was in the room looking asking each other questions it was like like I was the first time Kybella patient they had. I didn't say anything I only used up 1 vile. When I went back my Kybella vials were not in, they said there was problems with shipping them from Europe so that is when they went with a different treatment which they said was 40 times better than Kybella and much cheaper. Now why would they not tell me about this instead of having me spend almost $3000 on Kybella when they had this other treatment that was more effective and much cheaper? So now I have a credit because this new treatment is so much cheaper but somehow I ended up having to dish out another $1200 for this new treatment I didn't say anything I wanted to get my treatment done and I was hoping for results which here we are almost 6 months down the line and none of it worked. Now after I was done with those treatments I started to do my face again skin tightening laser hair removal, I kept going to my treatments but notice that the sessions were getting shorter in length and the area that I originally requested wasn't being completely done. I requested my whole face and that was not being done. The technician would focus on cheeks when clearly my main concern was under my chin. Now comes the part about how my skin was burned, and later I was chastised for being a baby about it. Well you would think that if a patient is telling you that it is too hot you would stop or change the frequency, that was not the case with me I was being told "you can take it, just hang on you have three minutes left" you have two minutes left and so on. I left there with my neck filled with blisters I was then told "oh no that is something you already had". Like really? I was told give it a few days it will go away. Well I did..... I gave it a few days as a matter fact I gave it all this time and now I still have scars...dots on my neck from the burns that were done to my neck from the skin tightening. they used a different machine on me that was not originally used when I first started the treatment. The original machine used, I was doing just fine with it but this particular machine was so hot I couldn't take it. This establishment just wants you to get treatment after treatment take your money they don't know much about what they're doing. The rep is the one that chimed in and said I should wait to get other treatments when clearly the staff could not answer questions that I had regarding the treatment I was getting. I can go on and on there's so much more that happened in this establishment, from ignoring my concerns to offering me free treatments if I would write a good review on yelp. I am only posting 1 star because I have to. I bought a Groupon for Dysport for 50 units. When getting there , they talked me into to buying more units. I Also thought I was paying $99.00 for a facial cream, I would be leaving with. To my dismay, when checking out they told me , I had purchased a facial. I would never pay ahead of time for a service that hadn't been done. Dawn also talked me into buying extra units of Dysport. Long story short . The Dysport didn't work. They said my muscles were too strong... LOL not true. Dysport like Botox freezes your muscles so you can't move them at all. If the Dysport or Botox is reconstituted with too much of the solution then your Dysport will be weaker and not FREEZE your muscles like supossed to. I purchased a Groupon for 50 units of Dysport. I am a regular user, but this was my first time at this location. I know how much it takes for my muscles to relax fully in my forehead, crow's feet, and glabellar lines. The nurse injected my glabellar area. Nothing happened. I know that Dysport works for me within 3 days. I called and the nurse told me to wait 2 weeks. I waited 2 weeks and nothing. They must dilute their product too much. Dysport is combined with Sodium Chloride Injection. First, I was told the system was not working for them due to an issue with their account log in, but I would receive my points within a few days. The third time I called, which was 2 weeks later, I was told that I would not be receiving any points, and they canceled my follow up appointment that I had to review why the Dysport did nothing. They cancelled it via text after so rudely telling me that they never told me I would be getting Aspire points. You read that right. Mind you I spoke to the nurse about getting filler in my cheeks. She showed me the before and after pictures of her mom who has a similar issue in her cheeks as I do. Who treats a potential customer like this? I have a feeling the one vile of filler that we spoke about would have become two and they would have charged me for more Dysport, but this time it would be the correct ratio. This must be their scam. When they saw my persistence about the points and the fact that the 50 units of Dysport did nothing, they knew they would not be able to scam me any more than they already had. I recommend going to Healing Aesthetics in Hinsdale instead. Dr. Saad is great. They don't try to upsell, they will recommend the minimum amount for the area and if it isn't enough, they will do a touch up for free. That's right free! I have debated for a while about writing this review, and after speaking some of my friends and my significant other it's become clear that what I experienced at Aesthetic Medicine Center should not be ignored. I stumbled upon this establishment through Groupon and I was trying to find an affordable massage to gift to my significant other. I bought the Groupon before reading the reviews on Yelp, which was my first mistake. I learned that they only have one masseuse, who is a male, and I know that my S/O is uncomfortable with this, so I decided to keep the Groupon for myself and find another massage therapist for them. I was a little nervous after reading the reviews on Yelp, but decided to go anyways - this was my second mistake. Upon arriving to the Aesthetic Medicine Center, I sat in a waiting area with very loud music and filled out some paperwork because the paperwork service they used to send it to me via phone did not work. Twenty minutes passed before I was retrieved from the waiting room by the massage therapist who proceeded to tell me that I am too stressed and made me do some deep breathing exercises with him, which was very uncomfortable. I have had around 100 professional massages, and I chalked this up to him being an older foreign man - I thought "well this is probably a cultural thing and he knows what he's doing". After I got undressed and slid under the covers on the massage table, he came back in and we had the normal pre-massage conversation about preferences, etc. At this point in time, he decides that it is perfectly okay to tell me that my body is "perfect" in a few different ways, multiple times. I shrugged this off, because I was saying how I work from home and sit all day which has contributed to my muscle soreness and stiffness and it seemed like he was reinforcing that I still look good... either way, still very unprofessional. It takes a lot to bother me though, but I just want to be thorough here. This man goes on to talk to me about his home country and invites me to go back with him jokingly, and then asks where I'm from and insists that we should go to my hometown together. I don't care if this is a joke, it's not funny. I am paying to get massaged, not to feel like I'm being hit on by a bartender at a shady dive bar. While he is massaging me, his touch became less and less professional and instrumental feeling, and more sensual. He was going way too close to my privates and I'm fairly certain that he purposefully exposed me while he was lifting up the sheet to adjust my leg. At one point I told him "Okay, that's a little too much" in a tone where he knew what I meant. He replied with "Oh, I'm so glad you told me. It's really important for you to tell me things and for us to trust each other". This felt really manipulative and gaslighting almost. I have been sexually harassed and I have experienced unwanted sexual advances by individuals in the past, and this felt exactly the same. I have been massaged by male massage therapists multiple times, and never has it felt anything other than professional. Towards the end of the massage, he sat me up on the massage table, hugged me, and instructed me to deep breathe with him while he played with my hair. During this time, the sheet fell from covering my breasts and I attempted to put it back up but he swatted my hand away. When he realized, he laughed and put it back on. This says to me that if I had tried to reject whatever pose or practice he was doing to me, he would not have let me. I clearly was uncomfortable, and he swatted my hand away until he realized I had been exposed. I felt so uncomfortable that I wanted to cry, but I just reminded myself that it would be over soon and maybe this is some normal practice where this man is from. I diminished my own intuition and gave him the benefit of the doubt the entire time until I told my friends what I had experienced. I hope that this review helps someone, especially women who may have been victims of sexual harassment or assault because this was a very triggering experience for me. I was surprised that I had not read more reviews like this about him on the business's Yelp page, which makes me wonder if this only happened because I am young and he perceived me to be good looking or in shape. read more

Came to write this review and should have read them a long time ago, clearly! I made an appt for Botox here after buying a Groupon, weeks ago, almost a month ago! When I called they said I had an account and I was confused, but said ok, sounds good. I proceeded to give them mine and my friends info (I bought her one as a gift too). Today, our appointments were for noon. It's 9AM and their manager calls me saying I can't come and use the groupon because I have been here for a massage in September 2020. Excuse me, what? Plus, the service I bought was COMPLETELY different and almost one year ago. What's funny, is I've been looking for a place to get botox and be loyal too and this place just flushed it down the tubes. I had to get on the phone and fight Groupon to get my money back since this asinine business waited a month to tell me I could not use my Groupon - even though when I called I said that's what I would be using. Long story Long but I think it all needs to be said. I love love this place and drive all the way from the Loop Chicago here. This is a beautiful office, professional and knowledgeable staff, very fair pricing and great results! With the last being said, I find it really funny that women get fillers/botox knowing that this is a foreign thing you are putting in your body and everybody's body can react differently and you are even signing a form explaining this in black and white. I find this point very necessary to bring up as I read some negative reviews about some adverse reactions that women had. This is your body and you choose, why would you expect for a medical facility to fix and cover expenses related to your body reacting not in favor of the treatment? I'm very annoyed by the couple of reviews as they are unrealistic and I find them offensive as this facility is nothing short of wonderful on every level and uneducated people with unrealistic expectations can ruin the reputation of such a fantastic medical facility. If you go to a hospital and have an epidural but it does not take to your body and will not work, do you ask the hospital for your money back? Same concept here people so please don't post insane reviews. I know that something like this can be very upsetting and devastating and I would be so upset if my body did not accept or had a adverse reaction to something but instead of posting hateful blame reviews I would be working closely with the professionals there to fix the problem as quickly as possible and not look to blame You are choosing to put injectables and Botox or any other substances into your body and you are responsible for the outcome if you're body will accept it or not is not his facility's fault. Rant over, I'm sorry just so upset that people like that can ruin a business and a facility for us to patron. I am a 45 year old women with not a ton of experience with injectables and botox but enough experience to know better. I have had great results and the value and price is great. My botox is working great and started to show affect on the 6th day strong. My juvaderm filler also looks great and the nurse Michelle is very detailed and took her time for everything to look proportioned and fab. I also invested money in purchasing a new cream from them from SkinBe++er and I'm excited to see how it'll take affect and bought 10 sessions of the Carboxytherapy for my under circles and will have an update on that soon.. I will be a patron to this place forever and will recommend and have recommended this place to friends and people I know. please don't ruing this facility for everyone by posting reviews that are not aligned with reality. I absolutely love this Med spa!! The nurse injector, Michelle is the best injector around! I've gotten Jeaveau injections from her and my results are always Perfect! She really knows the products offered there and her technique is awesome- virtually no pain. She makes you feel comfortable right when you get in the chair! Dr. Anna, Dawn, and the manager Aga are also amazing! They are all very knowledgeable and make you feel right at home. I'll never go anyplace else for my aesthetic needs. Highly recommended! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. 1. They do not answer the phone 2. They use Groupon to entice customers and provide poor service 3. They do not use Dysport at the appropriate ratio, causing it to wear off EARLY, which is illegal. 4. Every injector is a "trained" nurse, but when asked how long they have been doing injections, you get a shady response of "a while." 5. When I asked for a two-week follow-up appointment (as all reputable Dysport/botox clinics do) they stated it was not necessary. Not necessary? Of course, it is necessary to ensure that the work that is promised is fulfilled and that there is no adverse reaction. 6. When I stated that the Dysport wore off in less than a month (I have done 65 units at 5 different places in the past including AESTHETIC MEDICINE CENTER), I was told it was my fault. What?!? 7. When I met with DR. ANNA NOWOBILSKA, she tried to gaslight me and blame the bruising from my first injection experience on me. When I told her, that I have never bruised in my 10+ times using Dysport/Botox and I was also a healthcare provider, she continued to berate me. When I told her about my second experience where the Dysport wore off in under a month, she stated I had "metabolized it too quickly." However, it is literally impossible for one session of 65 units of Dysport to last 3 months and another session of 65 units of Dysport last less than a month. Unless...there was a difference in the Dysport ratio. 8. I stated very simply that if a patient stated they are bruised by her "nurse injectors", she should only say "I'm sorry." She then apologized and went on to tell me how it was all my fault because of my "superficial veins." 9. Look up DR ANNA NOWOBILSKA via Google. She has a 2.6 stars as a healthcare provider, the lowest reviews I have ever seen. 10. AESTHETIC MEDICINE CENTER is a SCAM and the customer service is HORRIBLE. read more

This place was my first time getting lip filler. After this place about 6 months later I went to A REAL PLASTIC SURGEONS OFFICE only to find out they were ripping me off here. They charge the full price for lip filler and give you the smallest amount of filler in these small syringes. Once my swelling went down I looked the same. They told me in advanced that I would feel this way so next time purchase 2 syringes. I Ended up making an appointment at a regular plastic surgeons office and when I asked them to put two syringes in my lips, because one wasn't enough, my doctor said hell no, and said, I was crazy ! I was so confused and embarrassed until my doctor pulled out the prepackaged lip filler, and it was a huge syringe. I ended up only using one syringe and they didn't even finish the syringe. My lips were huge and it lasted over six months My doctor explained to me that the filler comes prepackaged and you should see them opening it right in front of you. I paid the same exact amount of money in both places. They also never answer the phone and use the Groupon prices just to get you through their door and make you pay for all sorts of other stuff. read more

I just want it tell everyone that this is a wonderful place! The massage is world class. Never had better. Don't even want to let you know the guy's name. It's Romeo. He's a skilled master in deep tissue technique, as well as giving a true chiropractic massage. Talk about skilled nurse objectors.
