My cure was 5 dollar pills, so I have a severe brain injury, almost had a face transplant ( partial burns if that would take), now a brain tumor and am considered neurodegenerative, Dementia, at 41, bc he refused to help me and RAN. I was homeless, eating out of garbage cans, assaulted... These jackasses ran. If someone ignites from an electrical source, get them to a burn unit. The treatment was to take 5 min, trying to arch ONE eyebrow. How do you screw that up and kill someone? She did my temples and entire forehead. No one asked for that. It's 10 shots w the 1.5 head. She does 110 shots, which is incorrect. I went back bc I was so ugly, she didn't even look at the brows, and Body went into shock. Almost 200 degrees for HOURS. Illegal device for old lady chins. Saggy bits, have you seen my size? DO you think this is appropriate? She would put in on an infant if it paid her. She has no interest in beauty. At all. That would be enough stress on the body to kill me bc i did rest of face. I was sick for 3 mos, needed steroids. Face was weird, then BAM, late april, 2015, game over Entire head blew. All skin became live electricity. My electrical system went berserk and i was burned alive as I suffocated. All I had to do was find out where the burns were coming from and put me out. Smoke coming off a human being and he is afraid to get sued. The burns were coming from my brain, electricity into face. Face blows up, turns white, chars off, can you imagine leaving a human being like this? No oxygen, suffocating and running. agonizing. I could not get myself into ICU or a burn unit, or anything. Months are now going by.....trapped in my brain w no oxygen. Begging the internet for help, when he is my "doctor?" like no one is going to find out someone has a face transplant/brain damage? Isn't it better to help the person? They knew and ran and why the company let them get away w it is beyond me. A live cremation. The torture is inconceivable. This disease was time based, I went all the way, severe brain damage, whats left of my face is plastic like electrical painted on. My brain was in the hundreds. I have great things to say all around about Aesthetic Laser Care, Dr. Mike and the staff, but this review is about my experience with Cool Sculpting professional, Bianca Pinkerton. First of all, she is a delight. Bianca is knowledgeable, direct and really cares about what she does. I was instantly at ease when I met her. We discussed the areas that I wanted treated and the different options and precautions. She is very forthcoming about preparation, procedure, discomfort levels and how to achieve the best results. So, this year I turned 60. I work out and have achieved most of my fitness goals to some degree or another, but couldn't lose those stubborn love handles and a tiny bump in the front belly. They weren't bad, but they bothered me. We did eight sessions. 2 on belly, 3 on each side, moving around to the back and up the bottom part of the back. I have to say, it's an experience. The freeze/burn sensation is kind of extreme, but only lasts several minutes until it becomes numb. Then, after 30 minutes or so, she comes in and massages the treated area to crush up and kill the fat cells. It's very uncomfortable and I was a bit ticklish as well. Lol. That was it. The period of time for results vary, but I saw dramatic changes with about 4 weeks. And now, it's been several months and I'm thrilled to death with the results. Side note: after I had it done, I started doing a little more cardio. I absolutely believe that sped up the process. So, I'd advise anyone to do the same if they are impatient about seeing results. Oh my god! Talk about life changing. I was going to another place a little further than where I wanted to drive so I took my friends advice and booked an appointment for my Botox here. Just a few months later I did my eyes and I am attaching a picture to show my right side of my face (untouched) and my left was newly injected. This model gives you a discount for the trouble of herding cats together. It's not easy organizing multiple people. And it's horrifyingly embarrassing when your aesthetician is a no show, without a peep of explanation or communication. She's nice enough and has a good eye. And when she ghosts you, she'll apologize profusely and tell you how much she cares for you as a person, but her behavior, (her actions) do not even exhibit care for you as a paying customer. Had IPL here and I have to say it was the most pleasant laser experience I've had. I don't know if their equipment is just super updated or what, but I've had IPLs done for many years. I always had to put on numbing cream beforehand and even with that, could feel the sting of the laser. This time, no numbing cream and it was very easily tolerated. It's true. I'm one goddamn hairy girl. Maybe I'm part wolf? Maybe it's because I grew up in the desert, and my body was trying to protect me from the sandstorms? Perhaps it's a higher power's way of protecting me from ever getting a lower back tattoo? Or, could just be my parents. My hairy, hairy parents. When two hairy people meet they should seriously consider the repercussions their breeding will have on an adolescent girl one day. I learned the joys of Jolen hair bleach early on, and then waxing - which was always absolutely miserable. And sometimes - Nair. And now that I'm all grown up and clearly over the issues of my hairiness...oh wait - I'm not over it, that's why I've tried laser hair removal. Yep. The cure to all 21st century ailments - the laser. I've been to a couple others where I never finished the treatments. The nurses always seemed rushed...or just evil and powerful with their laserbeams. But it was semi-effective, I just never completed the treatments because I hated the places. That is until I found Aesthetic Laser Care. Both the nurse I dealt with and the receptionist were superb in every way. This is the first place I'd ever been where the nurse actually went through a little presentation beforehand about how everything works. I could tell from that moment, I was in good hands. And, turns out they've got some schmancy cool-touch laser that really doesn't hurt much at all - in comparison to others I've tried, anyway. The cost was fair - they charged exactly for what I had done, when they probably could have exaggerated how much they did. I even met the doctor on my way out - he seemed like a great guy too. The pricing is super competitive, all staff are VERY kind & professional, and you can tell they love their job. the entire office from lobby to exam rooms are modern and updated. Marianne has done my last two IPL sessions and has made the experience as enjoyable as having a laser to your face can be. She throughly explains the entire process before she begins and even the second time talked me through it. I asked if certain other services would be beneficial and she said No. I really appreciate not feeling like I am being pressured or overly sold. The service I had featured an add on service at a discounted rate and this was never pushed or "highly recommended". I really appreciate having an honest evaluation. This place is a gem among Med spas! It is immaculately clean, the nurse who did my laser was very nice and knowledgeable , went over the treatment and very thorough post care instructions( which I also received in writing) and they did not push any skin care products on me! The price was very reasonable and true to what I had been told on the phone. They did NOT do a bait and switch like other sketchy Med spas saying " Oh the price we gave you was for only half your face, it's actually double that" (I have had something similar to that actually said to me!) I gave 4 stars because I have to agree with other reviewers about front office staff. I first called to get info on a Sat at 10:30am ( they are open at this time) but got the voicemail and I left a message but no one ever called me back. I called again a few days later and asked about one of the lasers and the girl who answered seemed annoyed to have to give me info. She said I had to come for a consult , but because I live an hour away I asked if I could email photos . This seemed to make her angry but she said I could and gave me the email address . Again I waited several days before calling back to ask if anyone had looked at my photos. This time a different girl answered and said she didn't see my email and asked me to resend it and she would make sure the nurse saw it. She kept her word and the nurse called me a few hours later. Here's the deal. Dr. Lafkas is super nice as is his staff, however each time I've had Botox done the results are VERY, VERY MINIMAL to NON-EXISTENT. I've had Botox 3 times by him and I kept waiting for the results to kick in but even after 2 weeks of waiting, nothing changed. I'm an idiot for going back 2 more times but Dr. Lafkas is so pleasant that you feel like maybe he's doing a good job when in reality it's no more effective than having water injected. I haven't had any other procedures done so I cannot attest to their effectiveness, however, I will not be returning. Even though the prices are very competitive, overall you're wasting money on some kind of wishful, temporary placebo effect. read more

I've done one or more botox treatment in my life (woman can't tell you more). I always was charged per area. Baring in mind that in LA they charge you $200 per area, my 3 areas (frown lines, forehead and eyes) will come up to 600. I decided to go to the doctor who charges per unit. I did my research and went to the doctor Mike. He looked at me and came up with 33 units! Really? it's under $300! I was like "please, give me more" but he said that that's what I need. In two weeks I returned for touch-up on my forehead (3 units). I am wrinkle-free now and have my money saved for more treatments. (Sorry for talking about price but when I look for reviews I always look for prices as well, it's important for me). read more

I've been going to Aesthetic Laser Care for a few years. I like Dr. Lafkas but the road to get to him hasn't been the best for me. It's like running a gauntlet. His receptionists are hit and miss. I've had more than one be rather short and unwelcoming to me. One time in direct earshot of Dr. Lafkas (to which he did nothing). I really need to go back for Botox but I dread making the call. Sometimes I get voicemail during regular business hours, sometimes I get put on hold, sometimes I can't get an appointment for 10-14 days. There's just something in the pit of my stomach that says, "I don't think they like you very much." Update: I went to DermFX and got treated by Erin. I think I found my new home :D read more

I visited Aesthetic Laser Care on the recommendation of a friend who just adores Dr. Mike. While she hadn't had laser hair removal (LHR), she was really impressed by their office and gave me a price sheet for their services. After hours of diligent research on the art of LHR, I went in for my consultation at ALC. Their presentation confirmed everything I had learned before going in and I felt comfortable laying down some serious cash. (I was a grad student at the time -- buying dinner could break the bank.) I felt uber comfortable during my visits. The technician made sure I was ready to go and walked me through the procedure. She took her time and let me take breaks when the going got tough. (Yes, LHR does hurt.) The office is clean and had a great vibe. Since my own experience, I've heard OODLES of horror stories about other laser practices -- from unfulfilled promises to being ripped off. I feel that ALC had super competative pricing and gave me factual information that allowed me to have proper expectations for the outcome of my treatments. Always love this place :) The service is always friendly and Dr. Michael is charming, personable and patient. I was running late once and they told me to come on in anyhow- my appointment was at 5:45 already and they still took me at 5:55pm (super unusual).
