I was still wearing my cervical collar, and my recovery had taken an unexpected turn. As I was waking up from anesthesia, I realized I couldn't move my right arm. I had spent six weeks in the hospital and rehabilitation, and because I couldn't use my dominant arm, I couldn't even brush my hair. By the time I walked into her salon, I was physically exhausted and emotionally broken. My hair extensions had become severely tangled and matted, and I was embarrassed. I didn't feel beautiful anymore. I barely felt like myself. But Johnaee never saw the mess. She saw me. She treated me with kindness, compassion, and dignity from the very first moment. She never made me feel embarrassed or judged. She made me feel like every other woman who walks through her door--someone deserving of care, attention, and beauty. Part 1 of 2 - Med Spa! My first experience at Reflections Salon and MedSpa was on the Med Spa side, where I did the The Eve Hydra Dermabrasion Facial! That was an amazing experience. Katie is so knowledgeable and talked me through the entire process, made sure I was good with everything. I came back again for another round of that and was super satisfied with my results. I loved the sucking and instant cooling feeling. It felt like it was doing the deep work and then leaving a nice cool and clear path. Highly recommend! For my next experience I tried a newer technology, the Dr. Platon - Cold Plasma Gun facial. Once again Katie walked me through what to expect and made sure I was comfortable with the levels she was working with. I had my reservations because it was my first time doing this type of facial, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was a comfortable treatment experience! I am going weekly now to truly see the results over time. I would also highly recommend this service. Part 2 of 2 - Hair! Megan CRUSHED it for me. I have never before colored my hair - and the gray have been coming in hot. Since I had already been visiting Katie for my skin care it was a no brainer to see Megan for my hair, She took SUCH great care of me. I told her my minimum requirements (being able to put all in a ponytail and staying true to my natural color), and then trusted her with the rest. She gave me a perfect brown base and added in some subtle carmely low lights. It literally turned out PERFECT! I could not be happier with the results, it boosted my confidence and lifted my spirits for sure! Happy to say I have a new hair stylist in Megan and would highly recommend her to my friend, family and anyone reading this review. I loved how she saw how indecisive I was about how short I wanted my hair and she recommended to cut a couple inches first and then let me see where that landed.
