I created this profile so I could give some additional information about my procedure/experience with Dr. Goldman without identifying myself. I came to Dr. Goldman as a male in my early 20s after years of being too embarrassed to take off my shirt in public. I had gynecomastia - or man-boobs as they were often jeered at me. I tried everything. I lost weight. I was in great shape. But I couldn't get rid of the breast tissues no matter how hard I tried. I would wear 2-3 shirts to tamp down my man-boobs. Summer swim parties were the bane of my existence. Shirts vs. skins made me mortified to play team sports. Finally, I decided that surgery was probably the only solution. I met with Dr. Goldman and he was so understanding and cared so much about *why* I wanted to get surgery. He was also very clear in that surgery does not fix all problems, which I appreciated. He wasn't promising me the moon. Only a short while later, I can say that having this surgery and having Dr. Goldman perform it was one of the best decisions I've made. I feel so much more confident now. I walk up straight, not hunched over trying to hide my man-boobs. I'm not frantically listening for snickering as I take off my shirt. Not to get too technical, but when you read the forums about gynecomastia, one of the most frequent side effects of surgery is loosing feeling in your nipples. Before I decided to have my cosmetic surgery many years ago I did my homework and read extensive positive patient reviews online which was extremely helpful in selecting Dr. Goldman as my surgeon. Additionally, I also had several close friends that had fillers and Botox and varying cosmetic procedures with Dr. Goldman since 2005 and they all agreed he was the right choice. My experience as a patient is as follows: his demeanor and bed-side manner was calm, supportive, thorough, attentive and personal. There aren't enough words to express how highly I regard Dr Goldman and his wonderful staff. Dr Goldman is an exceptional plastic surgeon,a true artist and visionary. I just had surgery 2 weeks ago with Dr. Goldman and I cannot say enough how lucky I am to have had him work on me. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and needed a double mastectomy, well if dealing with cancer wasn't scary enough, the plastic surgery was just as scary. That was until I met Dr. Goldman and was totally put at ease. I can tell you I did not shed one tear going into surgery and I can tell you that Dr. Goldman and his nurse Diane turned the scariest time in my life into a wonderful experience. The work he did on me is amazing. I don't feel disfigured or like I'm missing something, instead I feel totally blessed and lucky to have him as my doctor. I had no pain at all. Everything was exactly as he described it would be. I will need a few more surgeries for fat grafting with Dr. Goldman, but I'm excited about the results. I cannot say enough about Doctor Goldman and his staff. I had a great experience and I am thrilled with the results. Dr. Goldman was honest, kind and very thorough. I had consults with 2 other surgeons and the difference was clear straight away. I had a procedure that was covered by insurance so while medical necessary, it was also important to have a good aesthetic result. Doctor Goldman went beyond the call of duty, consulting with a prior surgeon who had operated on the same area, to ensure that he was fully aware of any possible complications. No other doctor with whom I consulted did this. His bedside manner is absolutely amazing as well. What a kind and caring person to work with. Diane and Sue helped me with a tricky last minute insurance snafu and they literally saved the day. The Doctor and Supportive Staff You've Been Looking For My friends that have seen him have had a problem with Vitals website, only gave him one star when they meant to give him five. He is hands down the best doctor around. Kind, compassionate, he listens and is passionate about his work. I've been his patient since 1999 and would only recommend him. Be it surgery, injectables or skincare, he's your go-to doctor. He has exceeded my expectations time and again. He illustrated so many specific details of how my body and the procedure (both positive and negative) would end up working out and how my experience would go. Dr Boris Goldman is an expert at what he does. Everything from his wonderful and soothing bedside manner to realistic patient expectations of their procedures outcome. His work is artistic to say the least and he leaves minimal scarring and beautiful body shape. Being a woman in her early fifties , having three children ( grown now) and a c-section and thyroid surgery Dr G has restored my scars to a point where they are invisible. I also had a much needed breast lift at the age of fifty and sometimes I am amazed when I look in the mirror at how youthful looking they are.. Dr Goldman is the best plastic surgeon around! He pays attention to detail and is very meticulous. I also love the way he takes the time to explain everything he would do to get to the desired end result. I have had 2 different procedures done in the past 14 years by Dr. Goldman and he does very natural, excellent quality work. The most recent procedure he did was fix my nose that was very messed up after it was broken twice, and I had a septoplasty that went very wrong by another surgeon.
