I've been here for medical issues that didn't warrant a $250 er copay visit yet enough pain that I couldn't wait for weeks to visit my pcp at CU (also great folks). Everyone from the front staff, medical assistants, to the NPs are excellent at providing good, quick care. I get flustered easily but they're professional and do their best to make me feel comfortable about whatever I'm in for. Had to go in again the other day since I didn't want to wait a month for my CU appt; Todd, Sam, and the front desk were super nice and I'm already feeling better. I was a walk-in patient with a suspected knee sprain. I was greeted immediately by Sadiksha and she was very helpful with the check- in process. After finishing that process, I was seen shortly after by MA Grace, who was friendly and efficient at getting my vitals. After about a minute, the Provider Todd came in and did a thorough quick assessment of my knee pain, which was essentially a sprain, as I suspected due to arthritis irritation. Came in with a horrible dog bite. And I came out with my shots updated, the dog bite completely cleaned and taken care of, a really nice and wonderful doctor. A great and awesome nurse. This is a review specifically for getting a COVID test at this AFC. I recently wanted a COVID test and found that the nearby drive thru I had been to a couple of times was booked almost a week out. A friend let me know that I may have better luck with an AFC location. While it didn't show appointment availability in the very near future when I initially looked online, I continued to refresh and eventually snagged a next day regular COVID appointment (I believe they said they were out of rapid tests so that's why it wasn't an option). I checked in with the front desk at my appointment time and ended up waiting for a good while which I didn't love since it's a pretty small waiting room. They do have seats blocked off to ensure distancing and they were pretty much all full while I was there. That being said, everyone was wearing masks and they had plenty of hand sanitizer. When I was called in, they asked me general health questions, took my temperature, blood pressure, etc. While I was mainly concerned about COVID, it was nice to know I could probably have gotten diagnosed with something else and given medication. I received my results in less than 48 hours via a phone call which was appreciated. I found the staff to be pretty friendly but when someone walked in without an appointment, the front desk staff wasn't super helpful in letting her know how to get an appointment. In the future, I'll do all I can to do a quick drive thru test instead but this was an ok option in a bind! read more

First off let me say that I could never say enough nice things about the staff here. From Vanessa, who scheduled my appointment, to Samantha, who took care of me, they are all kind, caring professionals. Samantha was so patient and really took her time to listen to the issues I was experiencing. The only reason I couldn't give them 5 stars is because I had to wait in my car in 90 degree heat (with a fever) for almost an hour after my appointment time. I'm not sure why they take appointments if they run that late, but I really didn't think I could take much more. I had my air conditioning on part of the time but had to turn it off because my hybrid battery was getting too low. I drove around to charge it up and actually found a covered parking garage behind the building, where I waited for the last 30 minutes or so until they called to tell me they had a room for me. I really do appreciate the fact that they aren't letting a bunch of sick people sit around in their waiting room together, but there has to be a better way of doing this part. When I finally got in, I was taken to exam room 1. This facility is quite a few years old and has changed names a couple of times - but they haven't updated the inside. The room was smallish but adequate. I was completely put off by the dirt and spots of something brownish on the floor. My shoes actually left prints on part of the floor. The exam table has seen better days and had rips at the corners. Hopefully they did some kind of cleaning between patients and just missed the floor this one time (I'm being optimistic). I did use the restroom and it seemed to be very clean. Anyway, I would go back but would talk to them about scheduling a time when the wait isn't so long. The staff is definitely awesome! read more

Went to AFC Urgent Care Cenntennial for a f'ng rapid COVID-19 test on Christmas Day since my spouse tested positive the day before. The front desk employees were SO friendly and patient with every single person who came in, and it was jam-packed the entire time I waited. The wait time was fairly long, as expected, considering it was Christmas. The registration process was simple and the test was quick & easy. I literally might have never had such a top-notch customer experience anywhere for anything. It was 10/10 to say the least and I am grateful for their professionalism and patience. Worst urgent care experience I have ever had. Complete lack of professionalism. I booked an appointment for my 7 month old to be seen at 0945 for respiratory illness. I called at 1015 to reschedule because my baby just had fallen asleep. They said they had no record of the appointment I had made or the paperwork I completed for the apt.... So I got another apt time 145pm. Fine. . . So I go to the apt at 135pm check in at the front desk with the worlds best receptionists who at first couldn't find my apt then I filled out the paperwork again on my phone. Paid a $75 copay and then sat there waiting for 20 mins. Then a lady I had never met and who never told me who she was came out and told me they couldn't see us because my baby was less than 1.... To say I was angry is an understatement. The receptionist who scheduled the apt told me sorry and they recommended another pediatric urgent care. I'm aware of the pediatric urgent care. They don't open today until 545pm so hence the whole reason I made an appointment at your clinic. HUGE waste of time. So they turned away a baby with respiratory issues after letting them sit in the waiting room for 20 mins. Told us oh he looks "ok" and sent us on our way. Don't take your loved ones here. Complete lack of professionalism. Signs all over the website and the front of the building say we see all ages. . . May I suggest you teach your employees how to do their jobs and invest in equipment to take care of all ages. read more

1/3/2023: Updating my review from many months ago, which was very positive. In nearly every visit over the past 2-3 years, we have good experiences with the doctors and front desk staff at AFC-Centennial. More recently, as well as the other day, AFC seems to have had some problems with their accounting systems. I've been called and told I owed money, leading me to spend time going over credit card and insurance records. When this happened a few months ago I called back and was then told not to pay anything and simply to wait for things to get processed. That seemed to get resolved a few weeks later. However, I went through this again the other day. And this time the rep calling me told me that if I didn't pay $60 within 10 days my account would be referred to a collections agency. I explained the past accounting issue, but this didn't seem to register with him. After ending the call and reviewing c-card and insurance records, it seemed I was up to date. I called AFC Urgent Care Centennial directly and was put in touch with the same guy who called a few minutes earlier. He pulled up my account and told me it was current given he refreshed his screen. I explained how as a customer I didn't appreciate being threatened when my account was current. He explained again how he refreshed his screen. I would have at least expected an apology for the mistake, threat and making me spend time going over records, but the staff member didn't even seem to understand proper customer service protocol. All this prompted me to give some very negative feedback on both this website and on a recent text survey sent by AFC. It did not go unnoticed and their office manager contacted me today. She explained that they had some glitches related to system enhancements, but was apologetic and interested in hearing any additional feedback I wished to offer. She also said the rep who contacted me was newer and that they needed to do better with training. My family will give AFC the chance to make up for this experience (by providing quality healthcare and hopefully no more glitches). My rating will move up accordingly. read more

Went in with serious flulike symptoms. Turns out they tested me for COVID and it was positive. All they did was recommend fluids and over the counter drugs. They said to call back if I felt worse. Next day my chest is tighter hurts when I cough and mucous is darker. I asked for an antibody prescription and they said that was only for people with a medical history of Illnesses! Sadly I explained I needed something stronger as I just moved here and my appt with a new doctor isn't until next month, I have a toddler at home, no family in Colorado and can't go to the hospital with my toddler and they still wouldn't help. The front desk lady was the nicest in the whole facility. The PA was rude and hardly listened to my lungs or anything else. The guy that administered the strep and covid tests said nothing while taking test and laid items directly on counter after being in my nose and mouth l. Then a third guy came in and handed me test results . He didn't offer any suggestions for feeling better or anything just said have a good night walked out. The staff here was phenomenal. I chose this urgent care as the others close to my home had horrible reviews. I drove 30 minutes to this specific one as the reviews were much better. I'm so glad I did! Everyone here, especially Kelley, the PA on staff,and the receptionists , were beyond amazing. They were all exceptionally friendly, nonjudgmental and professional. Every single person was kind, caring, and attentive. Especially Tony who took care of my blood pressure and x-rays. There was a girl who was wearing her hair half up at the front desk (9am 9/20/20) who was warm and smily even through her mask. I hope she knows who she is because it's clear she cares about her job and I appreciated all of her help. The doctor was clearly very busy but didn't act like I was in the way or taking up her time for a little ol' sprained hand. I returned again to doctors express. This time I was so far from deductible it didn't matter (and it was a sick visit). In theory I like the idea of doctors express but insurance companies can make a lot of services a pain. Doctors express (at least when I did an immunization) required a pay up front.. Then I had to chase a refund - not cool but my insurance company holds 50% of the blame. Yet I eventually got my money back... So it doesn't deserve a 2 star review. I went back. After experiencing a sore throat (among many other symptoms) for a few days, I decided it was best to see if I had the dreaded strep throat - which I seem to get once a year! Here's the breakdown: 1) The front desk ladies are so nice, friendly and smiley. Although I wasn't feeling my best, they made me feel at home and relaxed while waiting for the dr. The nurses are so nice, efficient and helpful in getting all the necessary tests done for the doctor. The doctor on the other hand, was a little pushy, rushed through his visit with me and generally seemed annoyed that I was there. ugh. 2) They take a variety of insurance and even their out of pocket costs aren't terrible. Ask for a prescription card, as they assist in the cost of prescriptions! Overall - this is a great alternative if you can't get in with your primary care provider - which I need to find! The staff is consistently friendly, and the physicians and physician assistants provide great care. Dr. Kibler wasted no time identifying the cause of my back problem and provided a treatment that gave me nearly instant relief. It wastes my money. If you don't have insurance,don't go there.it charge you 159 at first.then the doctor just ask you some questions and check your temperature and blood pressure.I may be allergy and urticaria.but the doctor do nothing.just let me take non prescription medicine and ointment.I already let him know the symptoms lasted one week when I took that kind medicine. read more

I was hesitant on going to urgent care at first, because I always doubted the expertise of the staff at these urgent care center. However I was under so much pain on my knee and toe that day that I had no choice and decided to give it a shot. I went there and was immediately seen by Doc Joanna and she was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the pain I am going through. She diagnosed my problem immediately and prescribed me the meds that was effective the next day. By next day I was able to get back to a more tolerable state. Went in for what turned out to be a sprained ankle, had 3 x-rays taken and a split second visit with a doctor who looked at my ankle from a distance. I asked for the charges at the time of service (the office couldn't tell me how much it would be), then I received a explanation of benefits from my insurance company with the maximum amount that could've been charged from such visit. Find a Concentra Urgent Care center, much better service & much cheaper. I will not return, and if I took the time to read other reviews I wouldn't have gone in the first place. read more

Terrible! They have you sign in and set an appointment on their website, the whole "show up 10 minutes early" bit. Then you arrive 10 minutes early and find out it is "first come, first serve" any way! WTF, why set appointments? I could have just gone their 2 hours earlier when I found them. Should be a zero, went in and female doctor was extremely rude did not even research what was happening to me. Gave me a brace for my wrist and told me to apply lamisil to blisters on the same hand. 2 days later pain was worse. Went to ER was diagnosed with something completely different. Called to get refund and girl was rude and told me to call back to ask for the director of operations which is on vacation and she doesn't know when she will be back. First come, first serve. Very nice staff/nurses. Facility is clean. Wait time is about what you'd expect of urgent care, if not a little better. The doctor is nice, if he doesn't come across a little strong, but he is very informative and I felt confident in his assessment. In fact, he referred us to Children's Hospital ER for my daughter's issue to be addressed best. And he assured us we would not be charged for our visit there- thank you! I had a family member visiting from out of town and she suddenly got ill. We didn't want to go to the emergency room because it was not real serious. And my own doctor is always booked-up for weeks in advance. So we took a chance at Doctor's Express on Arapahoe Rd. It was not too crowded on a weekday morning and they got her in within 15 minutes after filing out some forms. The staff and the doctor were very nice and asked her a lot of questions about the symptoms. He couldn't diagnose the exact problem but narrowed it down to two or three possibilities, so we went to the Emergency Room at Littleton Adventist anyways. Later that night the doctor at Doctor's Express called our house to see if she was OK. We thought that was very unusual and very thoughtful. Overall they did everything they could for her and we would go back again in a pinch. read more

I went to this location on a Saturday morning when I was feeling absolutely terrible. I had it all...body aches and pains, fever, congestion, headaches, chills, and sweating. The office is very nice and the workers are very pleasant and cordial. However, I was misdiagnosed with a sinus infection when I actually had the flu. I was not given a flu test but my husband went to the doctor about 3 days later and got a flu test which tested positive. He had all the same symptoms. When I first arrived at this facility, one of the medical workers took me into a room to do routine procedures: blood pressure, temperature, and a review of my symptoms. I was a little put off during the review of my symptoms because they seem to use some kind of "symptom checker" software. "Do you have body aches?" "Yes." Click. "Fever?" "Yes." Click. "Headaches?" Click. I just kept thinking how I could have diagnosed myself at home on the internet with my own computer...and probably correctly diagnosed my illness. Either way, I cannot say it was a horrible experience because the kindness of the workers there was exceptional and they were courteous and attentive. It is mainly very young people there and I typically prefer older doctors as they have the added years of wisdom. Overall, I would go back if necessary, but probably only for a physical injury as my guess is they are better equipped for that. read more

I was in a lot of pain a couple weekends ago on a Saturday from ear/sinus stuff. My doctor is not quick to get in with and I remembered seeing this relatively newly opened office. I called to verify that they were in my insurance network, and they told me they had no wait, which made me quite happy for a Saturday early afternoon in the winter/cold/flu season. When I got to the clinic, I filled out a pretty simple form and was called back within about 5 minutes to sit down with a nurse to document my symptoms, take blood pressure and check temperature. From there, I was taken to an exam room where I only waited a couple minutes. The doctor came in, checked out my sinuses, ears and throat, listened to my heartbeat, then prepared my prescription for antibiotics. He was able to submit it electronically to the Target down the street (my preference), so that sped up my stop there too. I was in and out of this place in, probably, 20 minutes or so. Not bad a bit! I give the place 4 stars because the doc was so brief, in and out, and didn't give me a moment to ask questions or anything, although there were no other patients coming in behind me when I was checking in. He also handed me a coupon for a sinus saline spray he told me I should take, and when I then said I already took another similar product, he said it was about the same but could try that since they have a coupon. I was a bit turned off that he was sales-pitchy about that product, even after he realized I already use a product with the same benefits, and then I realized the coupon expired 12/2010 and should not be given out anymore since it's no longer valid. Duh. :) I will go back if needed for spur of the moment doc visits. Fast service and covered what I needed! read more
