2/22/25.....Today when we arrived the reception desk very rude and nasty. Last time we'll use this location.

Went in cause I am incredibly sick, had 5 people in front of me, 1 doctor to see everyone. One of the front desk ladies was cool, the other one very impatient and not a very good listener. I waited for 2 hours in severe pain, finally it says 0 patients in front of me. I go in just to see they put another person in front of me, making me wait even longer. Keep in mind I'm very weak and slow moving. The impatient person led me to the scale, I stepped on the scale , she didn't even give me 2 seconds and blurted out "um step all the way on the scale sir" ummm that's what I'm doing can you give me a break? Next she asks how long I've been sick, I told her I was sick before, got better then it came back, she said "so basically you got sick yesterday" not even close lady can you listen? Next puts me in a room where I wait EVEN longer in severe constant pain, doctor finally comes in and says " so you just got sick huh" like NO I said it's been AWHILE. Then they diagnosed me with sinusitis and I have no sinus infection symptoms, just pain coughing and fever, just like the first sickness.. I've had sinus infections before and did not feel like this at all. If you go here be prepared to wait a very long time and deal with unprofessional people that can't listen. read more

I think this place restaffed because the front desk woman is so sweet and helpful unlike my last time here 6 months ago. The last time I was here no one called me with my results for about two weeks, I called many times but no one picked up the phone so I had to visit in person. I was stuck here for about an hour while a different receptionist took care of other people while she forgot about me. I came here for the COVID-19 free test on Saturday at 10:30am. The wait was an hour-hour and a half which had me frustrated at the time but reflecting it really isn't a bad wait time for a free test. They have everyone line up out front and bring people into the office as people leave. All must wear face masks. You will need your ID and insurance card. Once you are called back they take your temperature and heart rate. Next, they use the nose swabs and test is done. You are then given a paper with the information for where to go online for your results. I was informed results take two-three days and you are able to track your test as it is processing. While waiting I observed numerous "patients" be very rude to staff and the staff responded politely every time and provided excellent customer service. read more

Best thing about this place is you can register online before coming in. I decided not to make an appointment before hand since I feel like making appointments at any doctor office doesn't get you in any quicker. The waiting area offers a mini fridge of cold bottles water, a keurig coffee machine and a rest room. Plenty of seating in the waiting area. The front desk is for sign in and also offer sanitizing gel. There is a tv to watch GSN (Game Show Network), a few peaceful paintings of zenful green to calm the soul. After waiting an hour I was called back: vitals taken- weight & BP. All other questions sucks as medicine allergic too asked in room. Dr. DeLoach was in and out in like a minute. Checked my throat, ears, tenderness in my face, and listened to my chest. Told me I'd need the zpak & otc robitussin. The nurse also mentioned that he previously was an OB/GYN and has 25 years experience in that field. So any concerned pregnant mommies know your in good hands if you get sick he knows what's safe for you to take. From what I heard while waiting for the doctor to come in, one staff member said to a patient, "alright now let's get you outta here so you can enjoy the rest of your day". That right there is what people like to hear and of course to reciprocate that back to the staff because they've worked a long shift helping sick or injured patients. If I could give it 0 stars I would. They charged me $117 of Copay even though my insurance says I have 20% of copay that would be only $23. Had to wait for the bill to show as pay by my insurance to do a claim for them to pay me back. It has been 3 months and still haven't been able to get my money back. Also found out that my insurance pay for the $23 copay of every time I have been there so the owe me $186 in total. this is called fraud!!!!! so don't ever go here Plus, attention sucks, they will make you wait forever and if you ask any question or when the doctor will be in, they will say just "you got to wait" it is the worse place to go. Reasons not to go here: 1. Copay of $125 with government insurance 2. Blaring rap or inappropriate music in the care areas and lobby 3. The RT who took my vitals and recorded my symptoms was rude, treated me like I am unintelligent child and acted like he was too cool. 4. This facility refused to treat me for my UTI and my allergic reaction - told me I had to pick one 5. Dirty facility 6. No paper towels in the dispensers within the care room. 7. There was an unlabeled open exposed urine specimen in the collection box when I placed my specimen in. 8. The urine specimen collections are not sterile. They are literally paper cups stacked upon each other exposed to the environment in the dirty bathroom. 9. Proper patient identification and specimen labeling is not performed. 10. Employees are texting on their phones at the desks. *I am a 26 year old Registered Nurse with over three years of Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department experience. I am extremely disappointed in the way that I was treated at this facility. I would never think about treating a patient the way that I was treated. If I were a manager at this facility I would be disappointed in the employees here (the RT and the PA). This place should be ashamed. read more

I took my 3 year old toddler after school around 6pm because she was ill and waited an hour. Of course a toddler doesn't have patience, and there were patients ahead of me that were still waiting and I needed to get her some dinner so i asked if we can just leave and for them tk refund my $125 since we never received service. They told me they would but still til this day they haven't. I went in on 2/28 and today is 4/19. Very incompetent people that don't know how to issue a credit. read more

I will say coming here for a covid test and wasting hours is pointless when you can go to Walgreens or cvs drive thru and be in and out so if your impatient and only need a covid test don't come here. I went here on Monday complaining that my throat was swollen. They said they were out of rapid strep throat tests, but would do a normal one and contact me is it was positive. Well 4 days later, did not hear anything from AFC Urgent Care and I haven't gotten any better. I went to a different clinic and they instantly diagnosed me with Strep Throat and have prescribed the antibiotics I need to feel better. My suggestion is to go anywhere else so you can get the treatment you need. read more

This is my second time being here in the last few years. I can't stress enough how clean and efficient this place is! I literally was in and out in 40 minutes - no joke! This morning I arrived a little before 8am and there was already a short line waiting outside before it opened. I was a little skeptical, but after quickly filling out paperwork, I was called back within five minutes (I'm not saying it's going to be this quick for everyone, but in my case since I came in early and was already on file, it helped). For new patients you can sign up online to make your trip quicker once you check into AFC. After checking your weight, temperature and BP, they put me in a room and said the doctor would be in shortly. Within a matter of 10-15 minutes I was seen, given medication, and was on my way. Staff is very kind, office is clean, and they even offer coffee and cold water bottles in the waiting room. I believe they accept lots of different insurance providers and are open seven days a week. read more

While waiting you could here the staff laughing and joking and talking about their weekend plans. Doctor was nice and friendly but dons give me a full exam. Received a shot so another round of waiting while I listen to them joking and laughing. I had to give a urine sample too and finally came out of the room and asked about the shot. It was crazy coming here back in 2020-2021 while the pandemic was ongoing, wait times were 6+ hours back then but they were seeing over 100+ patients back then.. it's easy checking in and out there now and not crazy busy like it was. I went to the Pinellas Park location on a Saturday 30 minutes before they were to close. I was treated for potential pneumonia and bronchitis. I expected they would be anxious to finish for the day write me some scripts and tell me to follow up with my primary care doctor. I was blown away by their attention to me, staying after hours to take a chest xray, breathing treatment and consultation on the X-ray. When all was said and done at least 3 of their staff stayed at least 40 minutes after they were to close to provide exceptional care for me. I am very grateful for their care and concern and highly recommend them if you need urgent care. read more

If I could have given zero stars I would have. I went in for flu like symptoms on December 5th. Was checked out by Daryl Hopps and he told me he thought it was strep, but was going to have my throat culture tested. Gave me a prescription for Amoxicillin and sent me on my way. Paid $100 at the front desk on my way out the door, and went to pick up my prescription. Never did anyone in the office mention to me that I was going to get a bill from a lab 2 weeks later. Very poor business practice if you ask me! Had I known that I was going to get billed extra for some lab work, I would have had the opportunity to tell them not to bother with it. Not only that, but I was told someone from the urgent care facility would call me to let me know what the results of the lab test was. I never received a call from anyone regarding my tests! The real kicker was that I didn't have strep at all. I actually tested positive for Covid-19 on December 6th.....at a different facility I might add! Will not be returning to AFC Urgent Care located at 7101 US Highway 19 North. For that matter, I will not recommend anyone else go there. Very disappointed! read more

The last time I came to the facility it was adequate, I haven't been sick in awhile so I came back here since I had a fine time at last visit . Coming in today? Terrible. Arrived at 8:30, wasn't brought back until 10:40. Copay was $125 (last time it was $50). I heard the staff laughing and giggling the entire time, very chatty and unprofessional. Once finally brought back into a room, I hear the staff laughing and talking more, and started going back and forth that someone needed to come help me since I was already in room 6. This continued loudly for five minutes, seemingly like no one wanted to come for my intake questions. Once the actual nurse practitioner came in she was quick and kind, but it took way too long with as much as the staff decides to chat. Would not recommend and really regret coming in today. People who came after me were being seen before me and they're excuse was just "We are busy and need to wait for rooms to open up". Came in 2 weeks ago for a severe case of Strep throat. Doc was super nice; prescribed me several meds to help treat it. 2 weeks to the day after my visit, I came down with strep again. Called the facility, asking to speak to the doc, to see if she could prescribe me another round of the meds. I was abruptly interrupted and told that I had to come in, and pay for another office visit ($175). So I did. The second doc that I saw specifically told me that if the first doc had prescribed the meds for the correct amount of days, I wouldn't have relapsed with strep. I liked them at the first visit, but the fact that they charged me another $175 for the office visit, and $50 for a strep culture, for THEIR mistake, is bogus. Don't waste your time here; docs clearly don't know anything. read more

I give three stars because it wasn't terrible. However, I waited 2.5 hours before actually being seen. Additionally, I left with no diagnosis and was left with many questions because the ARNP only came in one time to tell me she was ordering labs but then didn't come back to explain anything and the nurse who walked me out had no idea what to tell me other than the generic info which was written on the discharge paperwork. I will say they called me next day with lab results right away which is appreciated, and the nursing staff was very kind. read more

We arrived this morning (on a Sunday). In the waiting room they had free water and coffee, but we didn't even need it, bc we waited for less than 10 minutes! Once in the back, every thing moved along quickly and we were in and out within 45 minutes. The establishment is very clean and organized. No fuss or funny business. Just exactly what you need.
