Extremely Disappointed With Billing Negligence and Lack of Accountability I visited Bayside Urgent Care and clearly informed the receptionist--three times--before receiving any services that I needed to make sure my insurance would cover everything. I was assured and proceeded based on that understanding. The doctor recommended a lab test "just in case," and I followed his medical advice. At no point did anyone warn me that the lab they would send my sample to was out-of-network. A few weeks later, I received a huge bill from an outside lab that does NOT accept my insurance. I called Bayside Urgent Care immediately to understand why my labs were sent to an unauthorized office when I had explicitly stated multiple times to verify insurance coverage. The receptionist was dismissive, unhelpful, and simply told me: "You received the bill, so it's your responsibility. Talk to the lab." No concern, no accountability, no explanation. To make things worse, when my insurance agent contacted Bayside Urgent Care today, the office suddenly changed their story, claiming they had sent my labs to a different facility that does accept my insurance. Meanwhile, I continue to receive large bills from the out-of-network lab, and Bayside Urgent Care refuses to assist or correct the issue. This has been stressful, misleading, and completely avoidable had the staff simply honored my repeated requests to verify insurance coverage. Their inconsistent statements and lack of responsibility are unacceptable. I do not recommend this urgent care to anyone who values transparency, proper billing practices, or respectful customer service. read more

Well run place! Had my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter, who had an ear infection, handled quickly and efficiently. All the staff were so nice. The PA was great too when my granddaughter got upset about having her ears touched. In and out in an hour and most of that time was me filling out forms and waiting on my daughter to email over treatment authorization and her ID. read more

I went in this morning for a severe pinched nerve in my neck and PA Sean was absolutely amazing helping me figure out what was going on! He was very kind and patient with me and actually listened to me. He helped set up a plan for pain and discomfort & overall was just awesome! Amazing service! I came in having a hard time breathing due to as that. They took me back right away and gave me my much needed breathing treatment. Not only that, they also have me a referral to a pulmonologist and my own nebulizer breathing machine! I've been trying to get one for years and they gave it to me with no worries! Dr. Wallace is an excellent doctor. I'd previously posted a negative review due to an experience My wife had with one of his staff doctors. He reached out and let me know he'd fully handled the issue and put in local clinic policy to detect and prevent it from happening again. Furthermore he gave me a diagnosis which put me at ease and explained the diagnosis, how he came to those conclusions and what they mean for me. This is exactly what I wanted. I've been here several times, both for myself and my kid. Sometimes it's just not convenient to get in with our GP. We're always in and out fast and the PA or Physician on staff has always provided the care needed at the time. I highly recommend if you are a local. read more

It's not your typical urgent care. They've got rock and rap music blasting and everyone I saw seemed to be under 27 years old. But don't judge a professional by their age. A girl named Miriam took care of me and she was the kindest, most compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable person I've dealt with in a while. She asked all the right questions and took time to listen to my concerns. She referred me to the ER for further treatment. I felt like more than just an MR number. 10/10 would go back. read more

Good for regular check ups but we are disappointed with the urgent care. Came in for an allergic reaction but we were turned away without treatment by the doctor and sent to the ER. Doctor seemed inexperienced and spooked by the symptoms. In contrast, the ER doctor wasn't fazed at all and said that although it looked bad but wasn't dangerous. We got the normal treatment of prescription steroids to reduce the swelling. Felt like a waste of time and we wished that Bayside could have just given us steroids. Even more disappointed to get a bill in the mail from Bayside. We already knew the diagnosis and we didn't get any treatment so we are paying for nothing but a waste of time. read more

I should have walked out as soon as I got there. There was a guy walking around the waiting area without a mask talking on the phone and not social distancing multiple employees saw him and said nothing. The PA was decent but not knowledgeable of my illness which involved severe pain. Then they sent two different people to draw blood, they stuck me six times without drawing blood, they were incompetent and had bad attitudes like it was my fault. I needed a refill on pain meds and they told me to call my doc they couldn't help, problem was it was a weekend. I would never go there again if I was shot next door and bleeding out they would somehow Blame it on me for bleeding. read more

Would not recommend using this faculty. I called ahead & tried to book an appointment & they said it was a walk in only facility. Okay, no problem. I got to the faculty, fill out paperwork they tell me it's going to be 1 1/2 hour wait & that I was free to return then. Fast forward an hour & a half later, I return. I'm informed by the front desk associate that I'm next in line. I patiently wait 45 minutes and 2 people are seen ahead of me - I then ask the front desk associate how much longer I will be waiting & she says I have 2 more people in front of me & it will be at least another 45 minutes!! I would not have been as upset if the front desk receptionist would have been transparent from the beginning. Poor costumer service, horrible time management & poor patient responsibility. The employees are not following mask regulations let alone the patients. read more

I usually don't make yelp reviews for things like this. But this place was super quick and helpful for my neck shoulder issue. I am currently on vacation and my shoulder neck just started getting worse to move to it. It was extremely painful and I just wanted to get it checked out without an extreme cost of a hospital. I called my insurance company because man I am out of state and I don't know what places take my insurance. I don't want to go to a place with a huge cost and where I have to pay huge out of cost because my insurance isn't taken. Luckily the nurse line directed me here. This place when I googled it, allowed me to check in online which saved me time and effort before I got to the building. They got me in really quick once I filled in a few papers and gave my insurance card with my ID. They were super professional and figured out it was just some muscle that contracted up and gave me muscle relaxers. I was very glad they checked it and it was something minor because I don't know anything and I wanted to be safe than sorry. But hopefully will be feeling better soon. read more

I tried contacting the center about upcoming appointments. I was abruptly hung up on after using my TTS assistance. I tried to call again... but was hung up on before even being able to use my device. The third time calling. I was immediately put on hold. For more than 30 minutes. Here you will find a group that truly listens and takes the time to make sure you get the care you need. Dr. Wallace and his staff are very caring and professional. The staff were empathetic, professional, welcoming, and thorough. I brought my wife in for abdominal pain, which they were able to narrow down to a UTI; and recommended a scan for kidney stones. There was no outpatient imaging place available, so they recommended we go to the ER at Morton Plant, which we did. They called to follow-up and to see how my wife was doing; and, to see what the treatment plan would entail. Very good facility, very clean. Billing asked for a small co-pay; but, with a high deductible plan (bronze) I opted to pay the whole balance. Due to some confusion, I should have paid the negotiated rate (not the billed amount); but, I am sure I'll receive a timely refund as soon as BCBS processes the claim. Careless,unprofessinal, money hungry people that don't care about your health and well being at all ! I visited the clinic on 8/6/2019 due to the fact that I was dealing with a sore throat . They checked my blood pressure , looked at my throat and provided me with a rapid strep test. Test came back negative but physician assistant sent me home with Amoxicillin. She also mentioned that I should feel way better within 24 hours. I started taking antibiotics right away and decided to take a few days off from work to rest and feel better. ( They charged me $365 for the office visit ) After 48 hrs i started feeling horrible , my fever got worse so I decided to call them. I called them in the evening on 8/8/2019 cuz my temperature was 103 F and I was worried about my symptoms getting worse and worse . I explained everything and the lady at the front desk told me that someone will contact me shortly. NOBODY CONTACTED ME - TOTALLY CARELESS People!! so I called them next morning to complain and they asked me to show up at the clinic again . I visited the clinic on 8/9/2019 , they checked my blood pressure , looked at my throat again , drew my blood to see if i have a mono virus. They did 4 attempts to take a small amount of my blood. They called me the next day and told me that they could not send my blood to the lab for some reason but they still charged me for it! They also charge me $232.61 for the second visit. P.S I was treated by a nurse practitioner and did not even see a doctor. I called the clinic manager a few days later,she wasn't at the office at that time but they informed me that she will call me back and of course ,SHE DID NOT - what a surprise ! I called them again a few more times and I finally got to talk to her. I explained the entire situations and she advised me to call their billing department and they will work with me and try to adjust a bill. 3 weeks later - they did not adjust a bill at all ! I paid my bill and decided to stop trying cuz those people do not care about their patients. I would give zero stars if I could . Worst experience ever! Complete nightmare, I can not believe such a careless people exist! Please avoid this place at all costs !!!!!!! read more

In town from New York to safely visit family. Before my return I needed to get a COVID PCP test. The service was relatively quick but several folks (that worked at the facility) were not wearing a mask or were wearing their masks under their chin. I asked the PA why his colleagues weren't wearing masks and they responded "they should be." Additionally, there was no social distancing in the waiting area. This was concerning - to see health care workers disregard safety of their patients was unnerving. I was in a bind or I likely would have left. read more

I am not pleased with the service. My wife and I needed to travel and we needed to obtain rapid results from a Covid-19 test. (as rapid as possible) We were told the results would be in in 2 - 3 days. We explained that it was urgent so as soon as the results came in, to please email them to us as we would be out of the country. It was understood (we thought) and they took our email addresses. As it turns out, a week later we had not yet received the results. When I called, I discovered that they had the results for some days but that the doctor usually "goes over the results with the patient". Completely useless to us. We had the test done at the Munich Airport two days AFTER going to Bayside and we got our results from there4 in 2 1/2 days. Sloppy, unhelpful service. read more

The first time I went to Bayside was for a check up and the Dr. was great. The second time I went was due to a issue that needed immediate attention. I called and asked if they did the minor surgery and was told yes. I show up and one female Doc sees me, tells me she won't do it and prescribes me antibiotics and antibiotic shot. I asked questions and was told very clearly that the antibiotics she was giving me would get rid of my issue permanently. She also was suprised and seemed frustrated when I asked if the medication had any possible side effects ( she didn't know. ) Not only was she absolutely wrong ( antibiotics are rarely used for the condition as they don't usually work ) she also spoke with another young Doc or NP who came into my room and asked if she could see my issue too. I felt kinda like a zoo animal. I know without a doubt the correct thing to have done would be the surgery. The antibiotics did not work, infact if the minor surgery had been done the condition wouldn't have spread. Waste of time, money and did not feel cared for at all. The other employees were nice, the male Dr. I saw was great but I would not recommend this place anymore. read more

When I left after being seen, they were still in waiting room with no masks. If a medical facility can't implement these precautions, I hate to think what else is not sanitary. My wife and I were on vacation and she has a rare form of vasculitis that flared up. From the time she called Bayside everyone was extremely polite and helpful. She tried a few other places that were closer to Indian rock beach and they were not anywhere near as helpful. We went straight to Bayside and were seen immediately. After giving them a quick background on my wife's condition they were able to help her right away! Aerial was the doctors P/A and was so kind and understanding. She and her team really went out of their way to work with us and get my wife the treatment she needed. I would highly recommend driving the few extra miles if necessary to be seen by Bayside should you need to go. By far the best urgent care visit we have ever had. P.s. the treatment worked as well! I went to this clinic to get a Covid test. The location is convenient and the facility is clean, however in the small sitting area a young man was were sitting without mask and the staff were not wearing masks. Kind of amazing to see a medical facility not enforcing the use of masks. read more

I have a good size family with 4 kids. We need a good doctor from time to time that is competent and doesn't just dole out the medication. They have always listened to our problems and given the exact attention we need from the odd illness to staples. The service is always fast and friendly.
