We were really impressed with our wedding tasting at Affairs to Remember. Before our tasting was even finished, I knew I wanted to go with them. Afterwards, my fiancee and our wedding planner agreed. We will be booking Affairs to Remember to cater our wedding. Our wedding is going to be at the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead. Affairs to Remember is one of the History Center's approved caterers. After a lackluster experience with Proof of the Pudding at a holiday party, our planner recommended Affairs to Remember and Bold Catering & Design. Our choice came down to those two. After having experienced the food and service from both Affairs to Remember and Bold Catering & Design at various company parties over the years, I initially leaned towards Bold to cater our wedding. This was before we did any tastings. After our tastings, there was no question in any of our minds that we should go with Affairs to Remember. Based on my past experiences, I was under the impression that Bold served more modern food while Affairs served more traditional food. I was wrong. Affairs wowed us with a seasonal, contemporary menu. The service at both the Affairs to Remember and Bold tastings was great. The staff at both companies is wonderful. However, the food at the Bold tasting was "just" good as opposed to the food at the Affairs tasting which was great. I walked out of the Bold tasting not feeling 100% confident about our wedding food. I walked out of the Affairs tasting feeling excited and assured. That was the difference. Both tastings were private multi-course tastings led by a catering consultant and attended by our wedding planner(s). Affairs to Remember has a really nice space. It's decorated really well. There's a showroom to show you what various arrangements, table settings, etc. will look like. There are several private consultation rooms. There were five in our group: Affairs catering consultant Saffold Barksdale, our wedding planners (two), my fiancee, and myself. Affairs set us up in one of their bigger (biggest?) rooms that can seat eight (IIRC). The room was neatly arranged with table settings and our first course ready to go. Like our tasting at Bold, there was a personal server and chef appearances. Here was our tasting menu at Affairs: Starters: * Mixture of hydro lettuce and arugula from Crystal Organic Farm, oven-roasted sweet peppers, baby fennel and beets, toasted pepitas, and roasted garlic vinaigrette * House-smoked chorizo pork belly brochette * Mushroom chicken salad on goji berry coconut crisp * Watermelon gazpacho * Ketchup-battered lobster fritter, jalapeno tartar Entrees and sides: * Southern-fried Spring Mountain Farms chicken served over braised lady peas from South Georgia, finished with a buttermilk remoulade * Medley of braised collard, mustard, and turnip greens * Campanelle pasta with caramelized fennel, onion, and corn, fresh radicchio and a touch of cream Dessert and coffee: * Honeysuckle Gelato with macerated strawberries and basil on a frozen marble slab * Beanealogy dark roast Selva Negra coffee My fiancee loves local, seasonal, and sustainable food. Affairs really delivered on that front. Crystal Organic Farm (Newborn, Georgia), Springer Mountain Farms (Mount Airy/Baldwin, Georgia), Honeysuckle Gelato (Atlanta), and Beanealogy (Atlanta) are all local brands. Our dessert was actually supposed to be made out of ice cream from High Road Craft (Marietta), but there was a supply issue, so they subbed in Honeysuckle instead (fine with me; both brands are excellent). In general, the food tasted fresh, high quality, and absolutely delicious. The chefs did a terrific job. Just about every item was packed with flavor and/or cooked to perfection (such as the chicken). This was a "getting to know you" tasting. We tasted the items together. Saffold would explain each item as we ate it. Along the way, she learned our likes and dislikes when it came to food. I really appreciated this. In contrast, with Bold, we were sent menus before our tasting and were asked to choose items we'd like to taste. It was difficult for us to decide on a wedding tasting menu with no guidance. Bold's menus were somewhat disorganized and confusing. We much preferred the route Affairs took by choosing an initial tasting menu for us. That way, we could familiarize ourselves with Affairs first. There are over a mind-boggling 3,500 items to choose from at Affairs, so we're putting our full faith and trust into Saffold to come up with a proposal that is within our budget. For what we want, Affairs is a bit pricier than Bold, but still reasonable. Affairs executive chef Ahmad Nourzad prepared the pasta and dessert courses in-person for us. This was to show us examples of action stations. Saffold, chef Ahmad, and our server were fantastic. We really enjoyed the tasting and had a lot of fun. In addition to food, we can (and probably will) get our linens from Affairs too. It saves us time and money. read more

I honestly wish I could give more than five stars. Cameron, just wow. We tasted Cameron and Affairs to Remember's food at a wedding and immediately knew we had to reach out for ours. We were only four months out from our wedding but Cameron was so kind, quick to respond and more than willing to work with us. He crafted up our dream buffet and apps. We got to do a tasting with our parents and were treated first class the entire time. Cameron took our vision and made it BETTER than we could've imagined. Many people talk about how wedding food is cold, tough or misses the mark - not ours! We had so many people telling us how wonderful the food was. We had plenty to go around and Cameron made me and my husband three to-go bags to feed us over the weekend. I cannot recommend Cameron and this business more. This is not a review of their food, this is a review of their communication and responsiveness. I had heard they were very good, and they were on the preferred list of catering at the venue we picked for my daughter's wedding. I filled out the online information and waited, and waited. I'm hosting a wedding for 200 people. I finally called, and the receptionist was very nice and said I needed to speak to Saffold, so I left a message. A week went by with no response, so I called back again and had to leave another message. Still no response for days. I finally heard from her today, but too late. We made the best choice by choosing Affairs to Remember for our wedding (and rehearsal dinner) catering. My husband and I agree this was the best vendor choice we made, hands down. Yossi from Affairs was so engaged throughout our entire wedding planning process - we felt such relief knowing we had a great caterer helping us out. Affairs' service extends far beyond the food. Yes, the food was amazing, but Yossi also helped us find a florist and procured several florist proposals for us that were within our budget. Once we had chosen a florist, Yossi arranged an in-person meeting at the Affairs' showroom for us and our florist to meet and go over design choices for our reception. Affairs provided the table linens and recommendations on table decor - they even provided some decor items for our cocktail hour and the special garnishes for our signature drinks at no additional charge to us. The level of service was absolutely outstanding. We cannot recommend Affairs to Remember enough! On a more practical note, we also appreciated that Affairs was able to provide gluten-free and vegan meal options for both of our events. It's a lot of moving parts with all the vendors and the Affairs to Remember team did a great job coordinating with everyone to make it a smooth operation. They are listed as one of 5 approved caterers at my venue and after 3 weeks of calling, emailing, and filling out their online contact form I finally was transferred to Yosi when I called again this morning. I explained that I've made many attempts to reach someone and that I was so grateful to finally reach someone. Yosi asked me question about my guest count and my budget- 60 guest & $5k-$6k budget--and Yosi responded by telling me that's why they didn't bother calling me back. Yosi said that smaller guest counts means more per person and that we would be looking at $9k. That's not that far off from my budget and I found it so rude that they didn't even "bother" with me. Another caterer called me back even though my budget didn't fit their pricing and they are working on meeting me in the middle. PLEASE READ if you care about the safety of your belongings. I decided to go with Affairs to Remember because of the professionalism and overall experience of the tasting. We hired them for my wedding at Little River Farms. The food tasted great and the presentation was wonderful as well. They were willing to work with me to change my menu till the month of the wedding and Cameron was also good with his communication throughout the entire process. Another main reason why I chose ATR was because they are "green" caterers and they give back to the community. I only had good things to say for ATR until the end of the wedding when we got back to our hotel room. A bridesmaid told me to check my wallet because all the cash in her wallet went missing. To make this story short, there was a total of roughly $3000 worth of belongings and cash missing. I immediately called Little River Farms and told them about our missing items. In the end, we were blaming the LRF team and ATR because those were the only two vendors around the venue while the rooms were not occupied. The venue did not have locked doors where the bridal suite and mancave were. Staff was able to go in and out of the area the entire day. I did not think twice that something like this would happen. There are cameras at LRF, but we found out that they are not on during events. It was the worst way to end the most perfect wedding day. Cameron was just as shocked and baffled as much as I was, but he did not readily have a list of the employees that he hired for my wedding. The staff did not consist of people that only worked at ATR. There were some staff members that they've used for the first time at my wedding. There were suspects that were found that belonged to one of the vendors, but there was no proof to further the investigation. If you decide to choose ATR, I would ask to have a list of staff members that have been with the company, not first time hires. There was no compensation from either vendor for the events that occurred at the wedding. It just saddens me that this can happen and there is no formal apology or compensation for a loss. read more

I used Affairs to Remember for my wedding about a year ago. I went with them because they had a lot included in their package and because of the service I got from Dana - she is wonderful! The planning process was great. We picked out everything we wanted down to every little detail. They were able to cater everything to our wants and needs and how we saw the evening going. At our wedding - everyone raved about our "Southern Comfort Martini Bar". You get a scope of Mac & Cheese in a Martini glass and can top it off with tomatoes, bacon, hot sauce, scallions, fried onions...whatever you want! Our theme was all foods you could eat standing up and with just a fork - no knives! We did more of a big cocktail party - instead of a seated dinner. They supplied the table linens, some tables, bar supplies, bar tenders, servers, and all the serve ware. And came to set up and clean up. I felt we got good value for our money. Only complaints are - they didn't bring enough ice to cool all our drinks. We had a reception where we provided all the alcohol - so we had like 15 cases of beer and 10 cases of wine - and they assured me they could get them all cold in the 3-4 hours prior to the event...by mid-way through - they were out of ice and had no cold wine or beer - so I was NOT happy about that. Then we were supposed to have our buffet open all night - but they shut it down 2 hours short - so we had been telling everyone not to rush to the food...when I guess they should have. So those 2 things warrant the -2 stars because they were concerns of our in the beginning and ended up being issues. read more

I've had great food from Affairs before, but my most recent outing prompts the review. I went to a rather posh party with my friend Mark who is a fussy Englishman. He hates the restaurant scene here and he hates that us Americans accept such crap from restaurants. So there we were in front of the hors d'ouevre table eating quite an amazing selection of food, beautiful charcuterie, some nice cheeses and especially amazing vegetables prepared in a way I had not seen before. It was so good. And he says to me, "why can't we eat like this in restaurants?" And that says it all, the food from Affairs is better than you can get in a restaurant. What words describes you? For starters...emaculate, beautiful, precise, colorful, friendly, knowledgeable, superb. lol Yeah, yeah so I may have gone a bit over board or atleast cheesy in the sense but those are the words that pop in my head when working with and dealing with the staff at Affairs To Remember. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly. I can't stress that enough. Friendly and upbeat and I think in an ET kinda way *whispering* they can read minds. They're on top of it with out being on top of you and get your minds out of the gutter, I didn't mean it that way. lol They take the pressure off of what could be a very stressful situation. For example...a wedding. It's suppose to be the happiest day of your life right? So why should you have to worry about the small and large things that go into it? Thankfully you have these guys to help you with every step before the event. I had worked closely with Affairs a few years back and recall that every single thing they did was with a level of precision that only comes from a company that loves great food. Chef Ahmed and Amanda are without a doubt true gems in the kitchen, cooking seasonally driven delicious fare for hundreds or small groups.
