Tina and her crew were absolutely fantastic to work with during my project. I had a specific design in mind and Tina did a great job of listening to my ideas while also using her years of experience to iron out a few things I hadn't thought about that made it even better. During the design phase my ideas continued to evolve and she was very easy to work with and was willing to listen to any changes I wanted to make. Once the design was done the execution that she and her team were able to pull off was exactly what I had in my mind. I have already received numerous complements from people are they are passing by my house and I'm very happy with the finished product. When it came time to do the install, Tina did not stand around and point and give directions. She was part of the crew, in the dirt with everyone else wearing her welding helmet burning some steel together. The rest of her crew was also great to be around and work with. Jesus and Mauro are a fantastic team. They are both very smart, hard working, and unbelievably detail oriented. Not to mention they are both genuinely nice people. Many times I thought what they were working on looked complete, but it wasn't perfect enough for them. They kept working with it to make sure everything was completely level, straight and just right. Donovan was also a key member of the team. He was very respectful, a hard worker, and forward thinking. You can tell he really takes pride in everything he works on and wants it to be perfect. He and Tina were welding the project together one day while I was working on the gate to my fence. After corresponding with several highly rated contractors and being disappointed with their dreadful responsiveness, Tina was a breath of fresh air. She returned our call quickly and immediately made plans to visit us in order to price the job. As evidenced by the attached photo, she made 2 sets of custom planter boxes covering an area approximately 6ft x 6ft. She designed the boxes with varying heights in order to add some æsthetic interest. The entire way, Tina was a brilliant and engaged partner for the project and a springboard for ideas, e.g. from coming up with ways to arrange the planter boxes to sizing and even the plants that were suited to our needs. The best part of working with Tina is that she represents the best parts of Old Texas: honesty and a commitment to the promises that she made. For example: (1) We gave her a fairly aggressive timeline given the upcoming holidays, and she met every milestone. (2) She stuck with the budget even when things were going wrong due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., some of her crew had to stay longer because of welding difficulties). Tina and her crew recently finished a backyard project for us and we are ecstatic over the results. I had a sad, muddy backyard that was in desperate need of a major overhaul and Tina came to the rescue! I called Tina at the end of May and after a few phone calls and emails, she and her crew began work mid June. There was a little bit of time between our first phone call and when work actually started (Tina is a busy lady), but I am glad that I was patient because the end result was worth the wait. Tina and her crew addressed my backyard's drainage issues by re-grading the whole yard and revamping the irrigation system. Then they built me a simple, but super nice modern deck made of composite wood and steel. I am incredibly grateful for Tina here because while the deck wasn't part of our original plans, Tina had a vision and recommended we build one. I accepted her guidance and couldn't be happier. I now have a beautiful, steel wrapped deck for my patio furniture. Also MAJOR bonus points: She found me really nice composite decking that looked SO. MUCH. Professionally installed steel edging really elevated the look of our backyard and was worth every penny. The last parts of the install were the pea gravel around the limestone pavers (which they also installed) and sod, which was also a Tina pick: Palisades Zoysia. I researched grass installation a while back and read a few awful reviews about contractors hauling in weed infested sod, so I was a little paranoid when I saw them roll up with my grass. No need to worry here, folks. Off their truck, the grass was gorgeous: healthy, lush and bright green. So yeah.
