Sheria was very knowledgeable and I was pleasantly surprised to see my hair begin to regrow so quickly. I was not expecting to see results for about six months and I saw progress much sooner than I expected (please remember hair restoration still takes time and it is important to not expect miracles). Sheria never sent me pictures full pictures that she took during my initial consultation. She only sent me pics of a problem area/scalp condition so I could show my dermatologist, but never pics of my full scalp. I asked for these pics so I could document my journey. Whenever I asked for pics, Sheria would say I was expecting miracles. Not true, I was only trying to document my journey and I actually saw progress sooner than I expected. On my last visit, Sheria finally pulled up my pics on her iPad and let me take pictures of those with my phone. I thanked her for helping me document my progress. The most disturbing part of my experience was not about pictures. It was that I received sores from her treatments. The first time I had a scalp sore, I did not think much of it. This last treatment, I did not know I had another sore until I got home and put up my hair for bed. I am not sure if Sheria noticed the sore, but I will say that all of a sudden before I left she recommended that I put on hydrocortisone ointment on my scalp because my scalp needed healing. This had never been mentioned in the months prior and she even gave me the ointment free of charge. Sheria put the ointment on my scalp before I left. Now I know why. (See pic). I was traveling after my appointment so I did not have the opportunity to tell her about the sore. However, the day after my appointment Sheria abruptly sent me a text long after business hours saying she decided I would be better off at another salon, with no explanation. This was a surprise since I had told her before I left that I was pleased with the regrowth progress I had seen so soon. Also, I was charged different prices for the same hair service. I never questioned her about pricing. I just paid and tipped. I would like to mention that her salon was very clean, which is important to me. However, the one star rating is for her lack of professionalism, poor communication skills, treatments that she mixes herself that are so intense they cause sores, and dropping a client who expressed thanks to her for her services (this was before I found the last sore).

After looking on Yelp I found a place and a recommendation for a lady who does great color. Well my hair is above my butt and full of high lights so I need a good colorist. You have the barbershop in the front and the salon area in the back. Love it! The barber was nice, said hi and how can I help you as soon as I walked in. My last hair stylist who turned into my bestie was a black American woman. So for me anyone should be able to do all kinds of hair but in the MD area it was hard for me. A stylist is a stylist. I found that most salons were not multicultural which for a mixed girl was kinda hard. Super glad this is multicultural. Love it! Owners were so nice too btw.

What should have been a simple takedown, wash, and closure install turned into an all-day ordeal that completely derailed my Saturday. Looking back, I wish I had read the lower-rated reviews before booking. It's clear that closure installs are not this salon's strength, If I was to view the lowest reviews they mention the same issue. During my entire eight-hour visit, I wasn't offered water or food, and by the time the bundles were being sewn in, the work felt rushed and lacking care. The closure was barely customized, just washed and trimmed. There was no color or makeup applied to help it blend naturally. I asked for a small leave-out to cover the lace and weft, yet the result was one of the worst installs I've ever received. When the final reveal came, I could literally see the lace lifting. It felt like a slap in the face after such a long day. They offered 50% off, but it still feels like a waste of time and money, especially since I now have to find another stylist to fix it. This experience left me extremely disappointed and questioning the consistency of their service. I genuinely don't understand how this can be the same salon the Washington Commanders chose to represent their brand. After posting my review on Google, the salon responded with an apology and blamed a scheduling mix-up which is an explanation that doesn't address the quality issues or lack of professionalism. At this point, a full refund would have been more appropriate, as I clearly stated I wouldn't be returning. The money I paid for such poor service could have gone to a salon that values its clients, regardless of internal scheduling errors. Below is their display of service.
