We've always been 100% happy with Terry (and so have our pets). Terry goes above and beyond and we never have to worry about what's happening at home while we are away. In the beginning our crew consisted of a geriatric dog and cat. Our dog was quite sick and near the end of her life when Terry began caring for them. She was exceptionally attentive to the special needs of our dog, good at making health assessments and overall someone I could count on. We now have a new crew...two kitties. They are both young and healthy although the youngest does have pica. My cat's particular version of pica is that she will eat any filmy plastic, like plastic shopping bags, newspaper sleeves, cellophane, etc. We have to be constantly vigilant to ensure she doesn't have access to any of the "contraband". Terry understands the issue and always ensures that my cat doesn't have the opportunity to ingest any harmful substances. Terry had a special way with animals and they love her. We just returned home from a nine day vacation. My kitties had enjoyed so much attention from Terry that they were both very ho hum at our return...kind of like "oh, you're back." Typically my "pussy posse" as my husband calls them would have followed me all around the house but they didn't. This told me they had been given tons of attention while I was away. When Terry stays overnight for us, she brings in the mail and any packages, waters plants, takes out the trash, and keeps a watchful eye on whats going on in the neighborhood. She also leaves my home tidy and just the way I left it which is much appreciated. At my request Terri regularly texted us updates and pictures during our time away which eased any fleeting concern I might have. I highly recommend Terry as a pet sitter.

My pet had allergies that we thought was only food induced. It was because of the Dogwood Staff and careful monitoring/observation did we find my dog also allergic to fresh cut grass. It took us a few stays to find out, but the staff helped us figure out this mystery. After each stay, I opt in to my dog receiving a bath. She smells amazing after, better than the other grooming location I bring her to. I know four other pet parents who were also satisfied with their service and brings their pets here as well. The requirements for your pets is clear and easy to follow. Initially, I was worried about my pet due to hearing horror stories at other boarding locations. BUT DOGWOOD RANCH, I always feel reassured that my pet is at her own vacation with caretakers that care about her. If I can give more than 5 stars I would!

We then went through a thorough in-person interview. Emma is kind, caring, and compassionate and brought the company's mascot, the adorably trained Wilfred. Wilfred looks like a plushie dog that has come to life and candidly demonstrates how a trained dog should act. Our dogs immediately took a liking to Emma and Wilfred and thankfully Emma took our dogs in spite of their rambunctious behavior when meeting Wilfred. Emma was prompt with communication and followed the meeting with forms to complete via email, and took attentive care to our questions. We left our fur babies in her care for 2 weeks. We got cute pictures regularly, and our dogs looked engaged, safe, clean, entertained, and happy. Upon our return home, everything came back cleaner than we sent it. This was both embarrassing (why didn't I clean that when I dropped it off?) and a surprise and delightful touch when you're tired from traveling. Please know that our senior dogs aren't easy: one has a bad heart and requires twice daily medication, and the other eats everything not nailed down. I know my dogs and I could tell that they had fun and candidly missed all the attention they got at Wilf's Place. They even got a bath and are better at sitting and obeying our commands than when we dropped them off. We have already booked Emma again for our next trip. If you care about your pets, care about sanitation, cleanliness, details, and your pet's happiness while you're on vacation, Emma is a great find.

Delilah has been an awesome caretaker for our dogs!…read more We first met Delilah when she worked for Redwings Horse Sanctuary in Lockwood, CA. She worked there as the Equine Care Provider. She took exceptional care of the horses there. She then became a dog groomer and I would not trust anyone else with our precious dogs. She loved and took care of them like they were her own. When our late dog Boo couldn't walk very well anymore, she would come to our house and groom them both. We have moved back to our home state of New Jersey and we miss Delilah terribly! She always treated our 4 legged family members (equine and canine) with love and respect. We now groom our own dogs because we know that nobody will live up to Delilah. In my case there were two furkids that needed varying care. Why I would return to Freya +'s: + Responsive. I needed day care services and even evening services while I had to attend an all day conference and participate in an evening event for a few days. Freya answered my calls and texts before the care, during the care, and after the care. + Timely. Always showed up on time when I had to rush off to an event + Caring. I judge how my two dogs react when she returned the following day. Dogs do not lie and they were happy to see her return. + Helpful.
