First I had them here to repair my dryer, the heating element wasn't drying clothes. Set appt quickly and he, Victor, was on time Went to work and was out of here in reasonable amount of time. Had the part. Then I had another issue with the machine making loud noise. Came back and checked it out and the baring was out. Machine is 7 years old. Again, on time, polite and went right to work. My dryer was making a horrendous noise when I started it. I went to Home Depot to order a new one, to the tune of $900, fortunately for me Home Depot lost the appliance so I canceled the order. I called Affordable Appliance Repair and made an appointment. Technician Ismael came and repaired the dryer and it works good as new at a fraction of the cost of new dryer. Their service comes with a three month guarantee. Ismael also showed me how to clean the filter on my washing machine which I did not have a clue how to do it. Are we in Mercury Retrograde?! Have we been since March 2020?! It sure feels like it! Our A/C unit went out at the peak of summer heat. Then our hot water heater started leaking. Next it was our washing machine, locking with water and wet clothes inside - eek! We called Affordable Appliance Repair - the scheduling team was super responsive by text and we had a technician here for diagnosis the next day. He worked some magic, opening the machine and freeing our wet clothes from their stinky wet bath, and ordered the necessary replacement part. Phew! Frustratingly though, our replacement part was on back order due to Covid (or Mercury Retrograde? Or both?) and we were without our washer for an entire month (first world problem, I know, but still tough when you produce the amount of sweaty laundry that we do). When the part eventually arrived in January, the technician came out and fixed our washer and we're back in action! Huge sigh of relief! Pro Tip from the technician: if buying a washing machine, go with a top-loader that won't lock on you, and NEVER let sand get in your machine!...Mercury Retrograde didn't stop there. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY: This is a truthful repair from a REAL customer. I noticed many of the reviews on Google were obviously written by a professional promoter - same style comments almost robotic. Total scam. First call: Friendly, and quoted $99.00 service call to "diagnose" the problem and tell us the exact cost to repair after they know what was wrong. Sounded fair. Second call: Quoted wrong price, it is now $109.00. Day of Repair: Late arrival but understandable in that line of work (some jobs take longer and can back things up). Technician called me with a phone quote without even knowing what was wrong with the machine! When asked about the "diagnosis" he said admitted he had not yet opened the machine up. (WTF?) So he didn't know what was wrong but because of his experience he was sure it was a belt and pully that needed to be replaced. He "won't know until he opens the machine". I asked why I paid $109 for a diagnosis then? He responded in a disrespectful tone "you are paying for my experience". He sounded like a typical tow-truck driver who talks down to everyone. He "repaired" the appliance and left. I reviewed the invoice. He charged us $130 for parts. I found them online for $13.95 (total). When I called him on the over-charge, he said that was HIS cost for the parts. He said Amazon parts are cheap and made from China. Obviously he doesn't know where most parts come from. Nonetheless - He said I could never find OEM parts (original parts) from Whirlpool for less. A 30 second search proved him wrong. The parts were $19.00 & $21.00 respectively. I called him back and he said, "well they charge for Shipping". I replied $8.00. He said, "Then they are out of stock". I said they have over 100 in stock. Then he became very defensive suggesting everyone charges for "mark up". No matter what I offered, he had a come back excuse. I don't mind mark up that is reasonable and transparent. But the BS answers he kept giving until he ran out of BS excuses. Solution: He offered to come out and remove the parts and give a refund. Really? What a clown. Then he sent a text message apparently to his boss and included me on accident saying ' This guy is an ass, he expects to get parts at cost with 0 mark up". This shows the caliber of folks you are letting into your house. CONCLUSION: The repair time; trip charge; and labor cost was fair. The attitude of the "repair technician" "Matt" was downright crappy and highly offensive /unprofessional. Would I trust these clowns in my house again? NEVER. Completely dishonest in my opinion. I get it now. Lower the call out feel and rip the customer off on the parts. With plenty of reputable companies out there, why use these jokesters. Find a reputable company!!! NOTE: I can't wait for their response - have you noticed that the "owner" is always defensive and justifies all complaints. Now it should be coming into focus! read more

This company is fantastic. Matt diagnosed an issue with our washing machine and gave us a quote to repair it that was 1/3 of the price of another company (I'm glad I got a second quote!). Then, unfortunately, they made a mistake with the repair. HOWEVER, they acknowledged it, apologized, didn't make any excuses, stayed in contact with me and they corrected it. Just finished up my first service call with Affordable Appliance Repair and couldn't be happier. I had an issue with my washer because the agitator wasn't spinning and the it wasn't draining. I left a message at night and they returned my phone call right away the next morning to set up an appointment and put me on a cancellation list in case there were any openings sooner. Kim is the lovely woman that schedules the service calls and even tried to get me in the same day but I wasn't able to get home in time. The technician gave me a 20 minute heads up when he was on his way and was prompt in figuring out the problem. One of my daughters socks was stuck in the drain pump..go figure! And there was a small part to the agitator that was eroded and not providing any resistance for it to spin because they're old machines and just needed to be replaced! Our clothes dryer that is over 20 years old stopped working so I called Affordable Appliance Repair and left a message for someone to call me back. Approximately 10 minutes later I received a call and the young lady I spoke with stated that she would squeeze me in for an appointment within the next hour, which I appreciated. Austin arrived and was able to diagnose the problem with the dryer. He then had to order the part and then made an appointment for Friday. Austin arrived on time, replaced the part,and got the dryer working. While Austin was here we spoke about another part that could possibly fail and I asked him if he would replace that also. He said that it would cost over $100.00 more and he didn't want to replace a part that stilled worked and cost me more money. All I can say my wife is happy that the dryer is working, Austin was very professional not only in his demeanor, yet also in his appearance. I needed work done on my stove...the burner wasn't working and was not just the element needing to be replaced. So, i called at 9:30 A.M. and they had an available appointment for the same afternoon. She said he'd be here 12-3, and he knocked at 5 after 12! He repaired the stove, cleaned up and was on his way by 12:30 or so! He was personable and knowledgeable.
