I called Mike and Diane. Mike came out within a few days to access the problems. Within a week or so, he came back with the needed parts and fixed everything. Appliance parts can be stupidly expensive but Mike's labor rate is more than reasonable. read more

What I appreciated most about Affordable Appliance was their ability to answer my call immediately and help me problem solve quickly. Purchased my washer/dryer for our new home about 3 years ago from them for an amazing deal. Recently, my husband left something in his pocket from work which damaged my washer - called Mike and he came and fixed it right away. Thank goodness! This review is hard to write. The technician (who i think is the owner) YELLED at me over the phone and then HUNG UP. I was stunned. First, he came to our house to assess/repair a refrigerator which was not dispensing water or ice (and should). I was not present during this initial visit but my husband and brother were. He told them that we needed a plumber because there water was not getting to the line. OK - we did that. I was the one that met the plumber and while the plumber was still there - I called back Affordable Appliance to say that we had a "shut off installed and could confirm that water was getting to the line". The plumber confirmed that in his opinion, there was not anything previously preventing water from getting to line but just for safety - we paid to have a shut off valve installed. When I shared all this with the affordable appliance - he said "what do you want me to do?" in a loud voice. I said, "I am confused" - because I was? Why didn't he say, "OK, I will come out and take a look again. When is a good time?" Instead he went from zero - to one hundred. He YELLED. "YOU ARE CONFUSED. I AM CONFUSED" and then went on a tirade. I put the phone aside and listened to his yelling. He finally stopped and asked "ARE YOU STILL THERE??" I said "Yes, but I don't think that I can work with you?" He HUNG UP. He is unhinged. read more

Our Maytag washer and dryer were both having problems, and since they are older machines we were concerned that we would have to replace them. Before doing that, though, we decided to call Affordable Appliance to have them diagnose the situation, and advise us whether the machines should be repaired or replaced. We called on a Saturday, and we were very pleasantly surprised that they would come to our house on Sunday morning. The owner, Michael, came over on Sunday when he said he would. He expertly diagnosed and explained the situation to us. In the end, he replaced some inexpensive parts on the washer, and showed us some simple maintenance on the dryer, and we didn't have to replace either machine. For a subsequent visit on a related problem, he diagnosed that the pump on the washer had failed, and replaced the pump. Both machines are now functioning just as they did before, and we couldn't be happier. I estimate that in this case, we have saved well over $500 by using Afforable Appliance vs. buying new machines. After talking with Michael and observing him at work, I believe he really cares about delivering quality service. He has been doing this work for his whole career, and he loves to get appliances working again. I would recommend this company without hesitation. Five stars! read more

Several times in the past I've used the major retailer in the area that offers appliance service only because I didn't know where else to go. My experience with this company was very good. My washing machine had a broken drain pump, and they arrived within a day and a half to fix it. They were prompt and courteous both on the phone and in person. The technician figured out the problem right away and had the replacement parts along with him. Everything is running fine now. Their price was reasonable and below average, for above average service. I also appreciated their eco-conscious emphasis on recycling. Glad to do business with them. read more

I used Affordable Appliance to service my stove recently. It was my daughters baby shower and my stove went out of no where. It was a Sunday, what was I going to do? I called Affordable Appliance and a technician was sent out immediately, on a Sunday! Mike had my stove working in no time and the baby shower went on as planned! If it wasn't for Affordable Appliance and Mike, I don't know what I would have done! Oh and as an added note, there was no crazy fee for an emergency call on a Sunday!
