I guess apparently "affordable" is a very subjective term, because when I can get a dent repair quote for $200 from multiple businesses and these guys want 1000-1500 (so 5 to 7x as much). For a simple dent and alignment of a door, you really have to wonder how much a "affordable" paint job is. Our insurance was taking forever to decide if the truck would be totaled because of cost of repair vs value of truck because of its age. We had not been out to get estimates, Progressive was being slow and unresponsive on their decision based only on photos sent to them. The truck is in great condition and runs extremely well! So we decided to fix ourselves and eliminate the risk of them totaling the truck for their profit. Mike gave us an estimate that worked for our son's budget. We chose not to replace the headlight on passenger side since it still worked. They fixed the hood, painted the hood, and fixed/replaced bumper and grill. I believe Dave is who answered exactly when they opened. He asked a few questions and explained time frames. We had significant damage to the vehicle so after sending pictures via email, Dave called back with his honest opinion. Although we didn't go with his shop due to the extensive damage Dave gave us recommendations to bigger shops with more manpower that could possibly fix the car sooner than his shop could. Couldn't be happier. I've consulted this company on a couple occasions; First was for a dent in the side of my old car, and the second was for new paint on my new car. Both times I got prices FAR less than anywhere else I received quotes from and both things they were very upfront and responsive when going over what would need to be done and how long it would take. When getting my new car painted they were super helpful and resourceful as the color I wanted was pretty hard to come by. They were also super helpful when letting me know what all my options were and how I could save even more money by opting out of certain things. In the end I paid ~$2400 for my full cars paint VS the $6000 estimates from other shops. My new car also had a few dings I wanted to get taken out and they did it perfectly (included in full price). They were also ver communicative throughout the whole process. Now ~8 months later, the result was fantastic and I have no regrets whatsoever, by baby looks great! Amazing paint job. My car was previously black and I lived in a place that ruined my front end pain by their sprinkler system. Detail and clay washes did nothing so I figured time for a new paint job. Plus, I hate black for my car. It was my first and definitely my last. Yes it looked nice with tinted windows and blacked out lights, but you could see everything on it! Never stayed clean. I ended up going with Galaxy pearl and keeping the top black. I love it! And The gentleman who helped me was very nice! I had changed my mind on the color a a couple of times and he was very patient and understanding with it. Affordable repaired a substantial dent in the front fender of my RAV 4 at a very reasonable price. Mike gave us a range of options to help us decide how much we wanted to spend. Recently, someone clipped the front bumper guard on my 2004 Toyota Camry and knocked it askew. Didn't leave a note. Rick, at Primarily Japanese, looked at it for me and gave me a card for Affordable Auto Painting, which he said was honest and reasonable. I was able to stop by there without an appointment and Mike, the manager, looked at the damage. He said that an actual fix would mean replacing the whole piece and repainting and would be expensive. Then he had a young man come out and do a quick fix he said will hold it in place until and if I decide to do the replacement. He didn't charge me anything. He gave me a reasonable estimate for a dent on the other side of the car. If I decide to have any body work or painting done on the car, I'll definitely check with with Affordable first. read more

GREAT SPOT!! Really nice employees, very helpful. I had bent my door in and was concerned about needing a door right then and there and the cost. Luckily they were able to adjust the door for really cost so that I didn't have to rush into getting a new one and could take time getting a new one. I was refused business because the man said he wouldn't do it because his feelings are you don't paint a car black. You call me out like I am crazy. I know dark colors shows flaws but a dark color is not un common. The color it had was a forest green and even looked black in some lighting. I found someone from who has been on TV paining hot rods to paint it. Just because this shop can't do it doesn't mean they get to be nasty. Your extra comment shows how rude you are. My experience isn't wrong. It is fine to say you don't think you can paint it without being rude or telling be that people shouldn't paint cars black. It is my car not yours. Last month we had our '04 Civic painted. It was a metallic grey and the clear coat had been badly going downhill. The folks at Affordable painted it white and it looks like a new car. Worst paint job, spoke with the owner for a paint job he gave me a discount said the paint had to be stripped off in areas which was included. Got the car back in 3 days it was awful there was over spray all over the glass paint on headlights and places that should of been cleaned up including tires I asked them if they were going to clean up their mess they said for what I paid they were not going to clean it. Also the paint job was shabby runs everywhere pits in the paint all over the place, asked the owner if they were going to fix it he said no and I shouldn't be whining.. these guys are rude and unprofessional.would not recommend to any one, beware stay away from this place unless your ok with a scrap job. These guys were great. I have a 2006 Honda CRV that had oxidized terribly. Though I know Honda has had paint and clear coat problems, they were not at all sympathetic. So after three years of watching my trusty CRV look worse and worse, I couldn't stand it anymore. Affordable was recommended by my mechanic as he had seen paint jobs done by them and was pretty impressed. For a reasonable price they got rid of all my dings and painted it using the original manufacturer's color. It matches the door jams perfectly. Not Professional at all called and was told my quote that I got on 5/17/13 may not be good at the end if July. I called back same day to schedule earlier and the guy asked how much the quote was, when I told him $250 he said I can not get in, I am busy for the next week. His demeanor was like he was not interested in the job.when I asked what he suggested he replied sharply, " schedule an appointment". When I replied that he did not sound very enthused, he said I have a 100 cars here I am very busy and hung up on me. I would nit recommend them based on my encounter. We had a scrape on our left rear fender about a foot long with some paint damage. In Seattle we got two estimates, each about 1100 dollars. We brought our Mustang here and Dean gave us a price much lower. The scrape was repaired and painted and the job turned out perfectly. No one could ever know there was a scrape there. Dean was courteous and polite. They also did a pin stripe for us and that also was done perfectly. I would suggest bringing your car here if you need body work. I first called and got an approximate estimate just to repaint the front bumper. I scheduled a day, he would not give an appointment time. When I got there in the morning, he was not there. He arrived some 10 min later and walked right by me, not a word, greeting, nothing. When I spoke with him, he became agitated and annoyed, said he'd rather not do it. His behavior is the most obnoxious I have experienced in years. I would never have left my car if I hadn't already committed a ride and day to do it. If his irritating behavior wasn't bad enough, when I picked it up the next day, there was a drip in the paint. I looked at two other cars while waiting there, one other had a paint drip too. Yes, the price may be a bit cheaper, but it in no way makes up for his treating customers like dirt and shoddy workmanship. I called in to ask about pricing for a basic paint job on an old work truck and the person answering the phone (I'm assuming he was the owner based on how flippant he was) was extremely rude to me with no provocation other than me asking what the cheapest paint job they offer is. First, he told me it would be about $600. Then when I asked what services that price would include he raised his voice and started going on and on saying things like "How the hell am I supposed to know? Did you roll it down a hill? Bring it in and I'll tell you!" When I told him that I would never bring my truck in to someone who spoke to me like that, he promptly hung up on me. Buyers beware, I would never do business with someone that treats their customers like this before they even get a hold of their money! I had a bunch of scratches on my car that I wanted smoothed out and repainted. I got three estimates from places I found on Angie's List. This place was several hundred dollars less than the other two and the quality of their work was nothing short of fantastic. You can't even tell there were ever deep scratches there. The only reason I'm withholding a star is because the owner isn't particularly friendly when you go in for an estimate, although he was much nicer after that. You can go get your estimates at the other places with good reviews around town, but I would be shocked if any of them beat AAP's price or quality of service. read more

Note that the positive reviews have common, objective observations, and note that the few negative reviews are primarily subjective (e.g; "I didn't like the owner's attitude . . ."). For me, I would rather have very high quality at the lowest price with a quick turn around time even if the owner's attitude rubbed me the wrong way (which, in my case, it did not).
