His scheduling was flexible and he was able to come and do the work within a week. He showed up within the time window he gave me and they checked in at certain points of the work to make sure I was happy with the amount they were trimming. They also took care when trimming over my neighbor's driveway and near my roof. I will be happy to call him again when I have landscaping needs. They did a great job.

As you can guess, we were taken advantage of terribly. The last straw was this past year. Our entire cactus garden died and some plants even EXPLODED. Due to illness, we were stranded at our house in NY and could only come to check on AZ a couple of times a year. We lost our 110 year old saguaro, nearly all of our plants, and weeds had literally taken over our yard. But the worst part is that our VERY HIGHLY PAID LANDSCAPER - DID NOTHING! He took our money, and didn't do the work. We were at a loss. We went on Yelp to find another landscaper. This time, we were going to check their reviews and compare at least 3 reputable companies, before getting in bed with another thief. We found Sun of the Valley landscaping on Yelp and our first impression was a quick response from Liliana. She next came to our house to do an assessment of our yard. She is an absolutely lovely person. Genuine, professional and knowledgeable. She knew exactly what had to be done and said she'd get back to us with a quote. I don't need to say that our yard was in quite a state of neglect when we found Sun of the Valley. She gave us a very competitive rate and even told us that they would send us pictures of the work and come every two weeks! This seemed too good to be true. But before we could get to maintenance, we had to get the yard back to a baseline level. It had been neglected for years at this point. Sun of the Valley came and did an amazing job on our poor yard. They even trimmed a tree that had overgrown near our back gate. The work they did was TRULY AMAZING! Transformative! There were several plants that had seeded themselves all around the yard. Sun of the Valley took care of those plants and put them in perfect locations. They trimmed back all of the weeds, trimmed down overgrowth, took care of some of our broken water lines, trimmed our palm tree, fertilized our orange trees and so much more. They have kept their promise and then some. We have decided to sell our house, and they have been so accommodating to our specific needs. Recently, they trimmed the ivy on the side of our house so that it could be painted. Whatever it is, they do it, and do it without ripping us off, send pictures and are so reasonable. We feel truly blessed that we finally found the perfect landscaper! Too bad it's after we've decided to relocate to Buffalo, NY permanently! We almost would have stayed in AZ if we had found them sooner. If you find this landscaper, grab them and don't let go. They're going to do everything you need and make your yard and home look amazing. They come every two weeks, for less money than almost everyone charges for once a month. And, they do it well.

Other companies either took way too long to reply to calls or certainly were not the most innovative people to deal with. We previously worked with one landscaper to develop a design for the entire yard - back and front. While it took much longer than anticipated, it helped to give us a visual layout. This experience however, also gave us the necessary input to realize we did not want to continue working with that organization. The quote from SonoranScapes was the most competitive we received. The work was to complete implementation in both back and front of our property and James's quote encompassed all the work we wanted without cutting any corners. We were quoted nearly twice as much from other organizations. We had a few concerns about the design we had, and James was able to provide us with some great alternatives and suggestions to make the end project look outstanding. He was incredibly easy to work with, flexible and always responsive to any questions we had. We would also mention that James is very "hands-on", besides being onsite most of the time and very involved in the actual work. The SonoranScapes team was great throughout the entire process - they were prompt, respectful, professional, and most importantly delivered a STELLAR final product. This time, she rushed me off the phone saying they'll get the estimate over. Today, July 10th, still no estimate. This is not a company I'd do business with.
