My teeth were never clean. So the dentist came from another state there has to be a reason right be very leery at this place a lot of the good reviews I don't know where they came from but to me I would have to question if they're really humans.

The staff, both in the front office and during my procedures, were all courteous and friendly. They explained everything before they did it and educated me on products and treatment procedures without ever pressuring me to purchase anything. I didn't realize that the Groupon I had purchased didn't include a cleaning...but they were able to squeeze me in with the hygienist and provide that service as well! Since I don't have dental insurance and was paying out-of-pocket, they told me the cost of each thing up front. (Cleaning: $81 and Flouride: $18) At the end of my appointment, Dr. Llewellyn introduced himself to me and looked over my x-rays. He described himself as a "conservative" dentist and didn't recommend any major dental work. I'll continue to use Indy Smiles in the future and would recommend it to anyone needing dental services in Indy!

When I calmly showed proof and tried to explain, the staff's response was eye-rolling, visible impatience, and zero effort to help resolve an error that was not mine. I was left feeling dismissed, unwelcome, and frankly uncomfortable. I can't say why I was treated that way, but it's hard not to wonder whether appearance or background played a role when basic courtesy and professionalism disappear so quickly. When I asked for their names to document the incident, they refused and told me to leave. Only the receptionist called me by my name. I prefer my doctors, nurses, dentists etc to be friendly, and I didn't feel like anyone here was particularly friendly. Not unfriendly, just not very warm. The office was in an older building, and it seemed like the place could use a few updates. The dental chair was torn. However, I don't mind those things too much. I've been to dentists with massage chairs and DVD players, so if that is what you're looking for, go somewhere else. If you want quick, professional service, come see Dr. Summerlin. I am very satisfied with the cleaning I got. My teeth feel great, I was in and out quickly, and Dr. Summerlin even joked and called me "boring" since I didn't have any cavities or concerns.
