The office is clean and organized; simple but aesthetically pleasing. They schedule appointments appropriately so that there is little to no wait, and the level of care exceeds expectations. Personally, I have a slight skepticism of advice given by medical professionals but, to me, Dr. Power seems like an honest dentist who doesn't recommend unnecessary treatments. Referred to Aspen dental & called Anderson for an appointment they had here at 8:30am today. Told them I had Delta Dental as Primary & HIP as secondary with an FSA account. Front desk Julius called to confirm insurance coverage on voicemail for scheduled appointment; so I returned the call within minutes with no response or update for the rest of the day. Get out of bed early with wife and young child to transit from New Castle; to be told that my appointment wasn't scheduled due to insurance coverage not being confirmed. Not sure what their policy is on the standard procedure and protocol but this is not it. Seems they're individually owned so I will definitely be filing complaints and publishing the recordings on social media to warn others about visiting this location by my testimony. 3 weeks post surgery with 2 bad experiences. Missed work to have appointment today so they will pay loss of wages & mileage for my travel; otherwise they'll pay a defense attorney instead.

I sat in his chair for a procedure, and he told me he could't do the procedure because my teeth need to be cleaned first, and he doesn't have time to do that. He or his staff could've mentioned this when we scheduled the appointment, but they did not. I was disappointed I'd have to make a second trip, but I was easy going about it. "Fair enough. Let's get me scheduled for a cleaning, and then we'll reschedule the procedure no problem." Then, he told me he needs to charge me for the visit when literally all he did was tell me I needed a cleaning. I politely raised the question to the staff as I was checking out. "I'm confused. Is it your policy to charge people when you did no procedure and did no cleaning? I was in the chair for approximately one minute." They explained that it was their policy. I paid the bill and left. A few days later I receive a letter from him in the mail. He asked me not to come back and he called me a liar. I was flabbergasted. I didn't agree with his practice of charging a fee for no work being done, but I was never rude to him or his staff. I will not be going back. You won't have to ask me twice. I was terrified when I stepped into Dr. Knotek's office, but the staff were VERY friendly and made me feel so comfortable. They explained everything to me, no surprises whatsoever. Betty was the dental hygienist that cleaned part of my teeth, followed by Meagan and they are both gentle and friendly. They both assured me that they will make the cleaning as painless as possible, and they absolutely did. Dr. Knotek checked my teeth at the end and the beginning and gave advice and answered all my questions. She really cares about her patients and I appreciate that. Kerry at the front desk is awesome and I enjoyed my experience at this dental office. Sadly I'll be moving out of IN soon, and I wish I discovered this place sooner, but I will most definitely stop by whenever I'm in IN!
