I generally dont feel compelled to write a review about anything but I was so impressed with my experience that I absolutely had to. I have two extremely high dollar pieces of art and so I did some extensive research into professional framing in the area. I felt pretty confident in choosing affordable framing after seeing the overwhelmingly positive feedback from previous customers During my entire process, Ada and the owner Kirtis made me feel like their most important customer and were extremely knowledgeable and patient with me. They take pride in the quality of their business and it shows in the amount of time spent guiding me through the endless options available and questions that I had, but also most definitely in the Impeccable quality of the work itself. Also should mention that they beat literally everybody else in regards to affordability by far. Needless to say, I will never use anyone else for my framing needs now. read more

**Response to the owner*** Not once did I yell at Melissa and the entire encounter was recorded on my phone if you are interested in FACTS, feel free to call me (as you have my information) as you were NOT there and lack camera/audio recording in your store. When Melissa called you she referred to me as a "lovely young woman" --that's not the energy of someone who was "yelling at her". You are clearly taking the word of an employee that was in the wrong and showed no remorse and thought lying on me would justify her racist behavior. Multiple customers walked in during this time. If Melissa wanted to solve the issue she would of cut the glass without giving me attitude. She told me multiple times there was nothing she could do. Kurtis and I discussed how to reuse the frames for a new project I was doing with pressed flowers. He told me to leave the frames with him and come back with the pressed flowers because it's difficult to frame at home. Today, 2/3/24, I went online to get my frames because I decided to go in a different direction.VERY disappointed with how Melissa treated me today. The owner, Kurtis, is always pleasant, but Melissa was so rude in his absence I left in tears. I went in to get frames & she didn't know where they were and wasn't even trying to look for them. I ended up telling her to try calling the owner. Only to be told they were in the back and found in the trash can with the glass was removed. When I told her the glass was missing she said I could take that up with the owner and she wasn't going to get into all that with me. I told her I paid over $100 for my three frames and I wasn't leaving without the glass. She looked me up in the system and saw my purchase and told me the glass was thrown away there was nothing she could do. I've never seen someone so intent on not helping. I told her to call the owner back-- she did and gave me the phone-- I asked where did the glass go on the frames-- he said he destroyed it. I asked why, and why my frames were in the trash after he told me to trust him with them. He said he was under the impression I didn't want them. I was completely shook. I reminded him of how I told him several times we were using those frames for pressed flowers. He was literally going to throw $130 frames in the trash just to sell me a new frame. He told her to cut new glass and she was like oh I can do that. Why wouldn't you do that when I told you the glass was missing and you verified I was in your system as a paid customer? I will not return and I won't hesitate to give someone my true opinion on this small business. read more

I needed to get a canvas stretched on a frame quickly and had no idea that this process typically takes a couple of weeks, which I didn't have, but Affordable Framing (I think it was Curtis specifically) saved the day. He let me swing by, drop off my new painting, and got it all set up and looking great in less than 2 days! I think mine was a bit of challenge as well with very thick media and not much room around the edges for stretching but they made it work and it turned out great. While I was there he was very friendly and showed me a few different options of frames at different price points which was nice. I don't frame often but when I do again, I'll be coming back here. read more

We just moved into town and didn't have a van or truck so we were going to rent something to haul it home and once the owner heard that he just said he'd deliver it to us for free himself! This is an absolute gem of a framing store. Curtis was phenomenal in helping me select matting and frames for 6 treasured pieces of art we needed framed. Absolutely the best spot to get framework done! I cannot say enough positive words to do this review justice. Let me try. Kirtis and Monica are super sweet and make the experience that much more pleasurable. I had a few pieces just sitting in my closet having cracked the glass years ago. One of which, my parents gave me decades ago. We lay my pieces down on the table, and discussed options. I was totally impressed with the direction that was suggested. We even changed the frame from gold to black, giving the piece a fresh new look. It came out so perfect, I brought two more pieces in. The first of which was a photo of downtown Pittsburgh my dad took from a helicopter, when he was in the service in the 60-70's. He had given me the photo when I went off to college. But I dropped it one night and broke the glass. So I put it in a tube for safe keep. That was 18 years ago. I opened the tube to find the picture, partially torn, and curled up. I was so amazed at the job they were able to do with matting and framing. It looks brand new! I sent it home as a Christmas present from my brother and I. I am so stoked! I can't wait to hear dad's reaction! He's not seen that photo in 20 years. Lastly, my bedroom "Tom Petty wall" is now complete with it's centerpiece poster properly finally framed after sitting in my closet for years. I'm so glad I chose Affordable Framing with my artwork. I highly recommend this place for all of your framing needs. I completed a 3000 piece puzzle of the world map (pictured) and knew I wanted to get it framed but had no idea what I was looking for in a frame. Kirtis had a great eye for picking out frames that would fit the old world theme of the puzzle. He did a fantastic job even with the challenge of not using glass over the top of the map. Driving passed Affordable Framing yesterday, a man came out scurrying from the store carrying an art piece in his hand. He was moving with a rush of excitement. A rush that said, "I just got a great deal." So, he got our attention. We wasted no time parking the car to find out the 'goings-on' in the store. Mind you, I drive by this place dozens of times in a week going to the dentist, Sprouts or Goodwill. We got in the store and it was filled with local artists, talent, talk, wine, and, of course, ART. We had no intentions of making a purchase, we were just being nosy. Whenever I ponder on the purchase of an authentic, large piece of art, I'm always reminded of how small my wallet is. Well, that's where Adamarie came in (the store owner). She was approachable, fun to chat with and not pushy. Needless to say, I walked up to an art piece that stole my soul. Seeing the fight I was having between my heart and purse, she made me "an offer I couldn't refuse." So I said what most broke customers would say, "hold it for me and I'll come back." The enthusiasm that was on her face deflated immediately as I spoke those words. I assured her that I would come back, I had to go rob 'Peter to pay Paul, plus talk to the hub.' An hour later, her face lit up as she saw me walk through the doors. "I want my picture!" I declared. And the deal of my life was made. I bought a $250, 60 lb, 48 x 56 frame art piece for $150 with free delivery! This is the most money I've spent on a picture ever and it was worth it. I figured since I work hard, I deserve something in my home that says so. FYI: They have art classes every second and fourth Tuesdays at the store and if you want to have a special group session, they will accommodate your group on a different day. Refreshment is provided but BYOB. Also, they have an art show once a month to meet local artists and perhaps make a purchase of a lifetime. They got my business. I had a couple of pieces of art that my older sister did when she was going to college for fine art. These pieces hung in our house all throughout my childhood. When my mom died, I had to remove them from their frames in order to get them back across the country. I took them to Affordable Framing and they really worked with me to help me choose the frames. Great experience!! I took in a really large print - 35 x 59 - and was extremely impressed by the options that Kirtis (owner) provided. He had alternatives and we were able to find a framing option within my budget. When the framing was complete, I stopped by and noticed that my print wasn't floating on the mat as requested. Kirtis immediately offered to fix and get it back to me in a couple of days. He did and adjusted the wall hangers in the shop at my request. What a pleasant experience we had! Needed a Jersey and family heirloom flag framed. The flag was quite large and I was really concerned as to the price. It was substantially less than the chain stores but even more importantly the quality of workmanship was amazing. Our son is getting the flag for his 40th birthday and he doesn't even know it exists. There won't be a dry eye in the house. The Jersey was also incredible. I took it to Michaels about 6 years ago and they wanted over 6x's of what we paid with a much nicer window box frame. I brought in a hockey jersey to have framed for my husband, and they were able to turn it around in less than a week so I could have it ready for his birthday. My first experience with Affordable Framing was with the need to frame a print I found on Etsy that I was gifting. I didnt spend a ton on the print so I definitely didnt want to pay a ton for framing either. But it was a sentimental gift and it was important that it be beautifully presented. I found Affordable Framing here on Yelp and I took the print to them after seeing the great reviews and comments about them being inexpensive. I believe the woman's name is Marisa, framed my print and she did an amazing job, I thought it was absolutely gorgeous. The mattes she chose were perfect for the print and frame. It was very reasonably priced and best of all, was well received as a gift. My second and most recent experience was for various frames missing the glass including a couple of rather large frames and an oval shaped frame. I also had a collage of stamps I put together that was really starting to look like it was done by a kindergartner so it needed to be redone as well. The same woman, Marisa, I think, replaced glass in 2 large rectangle frames, 1 small rectangle frame and 1 small oval frame AND redid my stamp collage for much less than Id ever expect and I am so glad I thought to ask about replacement glass. My stamp colage turned out exactly how I always envisioned it and wanted it to look but never had the right materials to make it happen. I will take a picture and edit this review later. In addition, my items were completed very quickly, within a matter of days. I am very much satisfied with this company and definitely recommend them for your framing needs. read more

Extremely satisfied with my experience!!! I got lucky and found a beautiful (huge) photograph at goodwill today and the research I did told me it was taken sometime around 1895 to 1912. The men who loaded the picture in my car (which is super heavy and large) failed to do it in a way that made sense and sadly the frame came apart and became a hazard to try and move myself. I had a panic attack trying to decide what my next move was cause I have no knowledge of how to repair this on my own and was afraid of attempting to move a large piece of glass all by myself. I called Affordable Framing and was told if I showed up with the picture in question they would look at it and tell me what they can do. I really wasn't expecting to receive anything from this trip and was sure I was going to be told that the work needed to be done is too complicated or something. When I pulled up and parked outside I was greeted by Curtis and he made me feel very welcomed. This guy does his job like no other!! He assessed the picture like he was nurse in the ER helping a critically injured patient and immediately got to work on it. You can tell that he takes his work seriously cause he worked incredibly fast yet he was very efficient. I was standing by watching the magic happen as he started putting the pieces back together and just like that it was back to its former glory! I am extremely grateful for Curtis's help!
