We needed the fabric repaired on our 10' patio umbrella after a huge gust of wind carried it way up in the air and dropped it at a neighbor's yard down the street. Luckily the ribs were OK - however the damage was to the pockets where the ribs fit into the fabric. One was completely destroyed and the others were damaged. They were able to sew the needed areas and umbrella is back in use. They went beyond what we had asked them to do and the workmanship was excellent. I would recommend this company. read more

We needed to replace our dining chairs patio cushions which we originally purchased from Patio Star in 2006. Looking for something in fairly short order. All the big patio stores estimated 6-8 weeks and that was no guarantee. We live in the far North Valley so decided to visit the store. We brought 2 different chairs hoping we could find something. Instead, Carol was more than accommodating. We picked out the cushion fabric for both chairs as well as the foam density. She would have them made in 3 weeks. We picked up the cushions as promised today. They look great. Very well sewn, all zippers work, and they made loops rather than tie straps for the back cushions. If Patio Star had a negative rating they certainly deserves. Very poor follow up. On April 01 I drove 30 miles with a chaise that required a total redo. I was asked to pay up front which was strange. The repair completion was guaranteed for three weeks. Their order blank also included a three week turnaround. I started to get worried on April 20 since no one provided the status. I left a message on that day and another two days later. No one called back. The day after the expected delivery I drove down to Chandler. The gal behind the counter was very surprised. I had 4 sling chairs re-done and they did a good job. There was a minor issue with one of them but Carol worked with me to make it right. For about $100 each you will have to do the math as to whether it makes sense to go this route but if you have an expensive set that you really like it may be worth it. I couldn't find many places that do these repairs plus they have a lot of materials to choose from so it is a nice option to have. read more

They have some nice patio furniture, but reviews suggest they deliver their floor models which I noticed had paint touch ups etc. Overall their prices seemed high but I must admit they had one model I did like, but hesitant in buying from them based on reviews. read more

I took Sunbrella cushions to Patio Star to purchase copies from them. What I received back were cheap versions. The zippers were very tiny, unlike the quality zippers on the originals, and Patio Star zippers did not even have the weather flaps like the ones I provided to copy. I tried to unzip the cushion covers to check the interior cushion quality - and couldn't even get them unzipped. Patio Star had shoved in loose poly fill under the inferior zippers so that the zippers jammed repeatedly. The cushions I gave them did NOT have loose poly fill, but had covered cushion inserts inside the Sunbrella fabric. None of the Patio Star fabric had "Sunbrella" label sewn in, or any labels at all. The stitching looks third-rate, particularly when compared to the originals. If Patio Star did not intend to provide the same quality as the originals, they should have stated that prior to purchase - and let the consumer decide if they want to purchase low quality cushions. read more

We recently had our patio chair cushions remade. We gave Patio Star a set of the old cushions for sample and guide. They did make the new cushions to the correct dimension, however they are unable to make rounded ends. They neglected to advise us of that when ordering. When we went home with the new cushions we found the seam on one seat cushion was open and had to return it for repair before we ever installed it in a chair. We also had to return all of the seat backs for modification because Patio Star failed to follow the work order instructions. Bottom line is the cost was high, work was wrong initially, production was slow (took a month to make cushions for four chairs) and modifications had to be made which could have been avoided. It appears that Patio Star just does not have the expertise to perform the work they sell. We spent our budget to repair our furniture, and do not have the custom fit or function we had hoped for. Next time we will have to find another source for this kind of work. read more
