The hot pool is a walk down the hill. There's a trail to get down there. The locker room is available to use for all guests. I believe they offer daily access as well, if you don't decide to stay at the resort. 2 Olympic size pools, one of them over 100 degrees and the other below 100. We hungout there until we got hungry. It was so cold out, I was running and shivering. Hotel was clean and convenient, free breakfast in the morning before check out.

I really wanted to write this review to give you my honest opinion(as I do in all my reviews)…read more The hotel was very easy to book, I tried to book online but there was nothing available for the dates I was looking at, so I contacted the hotel and to my surprise I was able to book the pet friendly room with bunk beds and 2 queens for a better price then online was showing me(so always call the hotel before booking). Upon arrival they had a large parking lot and the gondola adventure park right there basically in the parking lot. The outside was very beautiful! Upon entering the hotel it was very dated, which I heard in a bunch of reviews. The staff was very helpful and friendly so no issues there. We entered our room and it was ok. My problem was the room felt a little dirty but I'm a germaphobe so maybe it's me who knows. However, the part that grossed me out was opening the bed to find random hairs and tons of grime behind the tv. I also felt like the handicapped room was stupid because the shower was for handicapped people and when using the shower the water basically flooded the bathroom floor which was gross and annoying. I slept the first night with the worst night sleep feeling things crawling on me(I think it was all in my head lol). The next day I was going to look into a different hotel however after talking to the front desk then had management come In and clean and change out bedding which made me feel better. I noticed though that the box spring had a white sheet on it that had what looked like a poop or blood stain that never got changed out as if they leave that and do not change it. The mattresses were also very springy and well used which they really should replace. I honestly just kept questioning if the hotel was dirty or looked really dirty since it's very well loved and needs a overhaul. They have mad potential with this place and could charge a lot more and get more business if they remodel and change out everything including there pictures on the wall which do not even go with the room. This hotel really deserves 2 stars but I'm being nice since I feel this is the best you might get here and it's location(tons of things to do around and restaurants) and the fact they don't charge for parking is a plus. They also have free breakfast included but don't get too excited, it's just a few cereal options, bagels and cream cheese, oatmeal, yogurts, and sausage and egg biscuits which are not good. They also have coffee and hot chocolate available with options as orange juice and apple juice. The water park inside the hotel was pretty cool for my kids and they really enjoyed it! Also, the fact they offered the first floor for families with dogs was really nice as well. The room was pretty chewed up from previous dogs(the bathroom door looked like someone locked there dog in the bathroom and the dog went crazy). They really should fix that and probably should have charged whoever's dog did that damage! If we left our dogs in the hotel while gone they were in there crates so nothing could get destroyed even though my dogs would not do that;). I want to go back here again but praying they revamp this place. It literally could be a 4-5 star hotel if they put some money and elbow grease into it.

The room was on the lower basement level, and our "view" consisted of a small patch of grass with the freeway just beyond it. If you're expecting a scenic garden or mountain view, don't. The room itself was in very rough shape. Dirty! Dusty! Half used soaps and shampoos. There was an awful smell, gouges and scratches on the bed frame, door, and baseboards, damaged trim throughout the room, and the furnishings looked worn and overdue for replacement. Three flies buzzed non-stop. It appeared to an old unkept room , "pet-friendly" rooms, and it certainly showed. To make matters worse, the hair dryer actually caught on fire while we were using it and had to be replaced. I asked if we could switch rooms, but I was told there was nothing available. The front desk said that if I had checked in earlier, it might have been possible. I arrived at 5:00 p.m., only two hours after the standard 3:00 p.m. check-in time, despite having booked months in advance we were stuffed in an awful ratty room. Good location. It's an easy walk to the Glenwood Gondola and Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, which was incredibly convenient. Stay elsewhere.

He made honest recommendations and did not pretend to have tried everything on the menu. Best of all, he was extremely patient. We felt no rush to order, eat, and go. He was not concerned about table turnover. While that may not be the best "money making" strategy, it is the best strategy for customer enjoyment. Don't worry, we didn't have to sleep on the street. They had us a lovely room at the cheapest hotel in town as a trade off. The clerk at the Quality Inn was lovely, which couldn't have been easy as we were furious when we arrived. Do not book this hotel and come to town actually expecting a room - when we checked into the room they had for us, we were told it wasn't the first time. Clearly this is a business practice that the Hotel Colorado is fine with. High end hotel? I don't think so.

Carbdondale is 14 miles away and 20-25 minutes. It is a beautiful drive between the two and was great exploring another mountain town. The Distillery Inn is a breath of fresh air. They offer five rooms. One is downstairs adjacent to the distillery and tasting room. It is handicap accessible. The other four are just up a few sets of stairs and have their own balconies. The room we stayed in Ginger is gorgeous. It is modern and offers a ton of space. The bathroom is large with a closet with safe, large counter with oversized sink, bathroom with sliding door and walk in shower with rain and handheld heads. The bed was very comfortable with high quality sheets. There is a gas fireplace and coffee machine and mini fridge. They do offer a minibar and their own spirits to buy. The room had a couch and desk as well as a patio with two chairs to relax in. On the second floor is an outdoor patio with several tables to sit at. We took advantage of unseasonably warm weather in November to eat meals at. The patio has a beautiful view of Carbondale. They provide daily newspapers and in the hallway for the rooms are additional coffee pods, plates and silverware for eating in your room. The owner Connie was extremely helpful going above and beyond to surprise my wife with flowers. She gave me different options and the vase and flowers were in the room when we checked in. She answered questions we had and helped us troubleshoot a small problem with some of the technology. The tasting room is gorgeous. We didn't spend much time there but enjoued live music from the patio (with fireplace) just outside. They have reserved parking for Inn guests behind the building in the alley. They do have free charging for electric vehicles which is very uncommon. We did buy a few bottles of their Moonlight Espresso and Whiskey and they are both delicious and oh so drinkable. The downtown of Carbondale was quiet but filled with lots of restaurants, shops and mountain hospitality. Looking forward to returning to the Distillery Inn on future visits.

The owner and his wife stay in an apartment in the basement and come up to use the main kitchen and make sure things are running smoothly for guests. This B&B has a comfortable king bed with buttery soft sheets, massive bathroom stocked with all the essentials, breakfast and snacks readily available, and a wonderful hot tub which is a must-have amenity in our book. Nothing like hot tubbing while it's snowing. I know there is the Residence Inn and the Courtyard (both located right next to each other). They're on the other side of town compared to Maxwell Anderson, BUT there is a bus that stops right in front of both hotels, and takes you directly into town. SO convenient! And it runs until midnight. So, all this to say, I really enjoyed my stay here, and absolutely will be staying here again. They offered free breakfast, and the views of the red rock mountains right behind the hotel are stunning. And you can walk to some shops, Natural Grocers, Target, even the recreation center. The room could have been a touch cleaner. But it wasn't like it was so dirty that it needed a formal complaint. I just travel a lot for work, so I have high standards. But the room was definitely good enough! I loved that it has a pretty large size fridge, microwave, dishes, silverware, cups, dishwasher. The room really was great. I loved that I could put leftovers in the fridge, and have for a late night snack... because not much is open late in Glenwood, ha!
