I just wanted to say I've been back to Manny and his guys a few times after I wrote the initial review for other exhaust issues. A+ service as always. He really has the most affordable muffler service around and they have the QUICKEST service time. I cannot stress how HONEST they are - I was given an estimate over the phone for a part around $185. A few days later when I got to the shop, they said the part was actually around $260 after they looked at my car. I asked if this the same part he quoted me for $185 (over the phone) and he said "if I told you $185 over the phone, then that's what I'll charge you. I'll stand by that." Just pure awesomeness. I had a hole in my exhaust about 3 weeks ago and brought it into Affordable Muffler. Before even making the trip (about 20 miles), I called and got a quick quote over the phone. I took my car to a nationwide chain and was told both mufflers had holes in them and there was damage to the engine needing to be repaired. The price quoted was almost $900. Searching yelp I found Affordable Muffler's reviews, decided to give them a shot. I drove through traffic and arrived a few minutes before closing. One of the guys from the shop came out and asked if he could help, I told him I knew it was closing time and would come back the next day. He insisted on taking a look at my car, invited me to go sit in the office and came in a few minutes later to tell Manny (owner) only one muffler had a hole in it. Manny told me the price and asked if I wanted it fixed? Did I, heck yeah, the price was over $700 less than I was quoted and nothing was wrong with the other muffler or the connections to the engine. The guys replaced the damaged muffler, staying after closing hours. Manny even went out to check on a problem one of them discovered. I was there less than an hour and left the shop much quieter than I came in. I'm telling everyone I know and I'm a customer as long as I'm in the Houston area. Thanks guys!!! read more

Manny has been in business for a long time at this same location - on Dairy Ashford, just across from Stratford High; that says a lot. VERY honest shop. Mufflers, but also brakes, shocks, etc. I've also had a catalytic converter replaced here. VERY reasonable prices also. Highly recommended. read more

These guys do a great job, got there early on a Saturday, Manuel took care of me and I left and came back and had my exhaust and cat put on, these guys do great business, done in an hour, also had to have some pipe put on, and best part is you can't beat their price, and they are honest which is hard to find. read more

A repair that was quoted to me as $700-$900 from Groovy Automotive (I will leave the review about those guys later, spoiler: don't go there), $1200 at the dealer, cost me only $400 at Affordable Muffler! I had them install a dual exhaust on my 2016 Toyota Tundra. They were very knowledgeable on sound, interior noise, and what other customers had said. They new the horsepower gains etc... All their exhaust is welded, not simply bolted. I walked out several times and talked to the mechanics who were doing the work. They were careful and very friendly. These guys bend their own pipes so they are far less expensive then buying a packaged system. I feel like I got a great deal, was in and out in an hour, and the truck sounds sensational! The owner is a Christian man with bible verses all over this waiting room and he showed me that he lives those values. Go give them your business! Hard to find auto repair and muffler shops that are straight shooters but these guys are the real deal! read more

I had a stripped lug nut on one of my wheels. I called a few places around and most places would charge anywhere from $40 -$60 for labor and parts. I went into Affordable Muffler based on their reviews, and they were awesome! They ended up not charging me anything to change out the one lug nut. Great customer service! I was really impressed with Manny. If you're looking for the ultra modern shop with the luxurious waiting room and gourmet coffee this isn't your place. That said if you want a good old fashion place that's honest, reputable, fast, fairly priced, where the owner is out working with his employees then you've found the right place. I took my 72 Blazer there and Manny was great, he offered me money saving alternatives and took care to make sure when I picked up the truck I was 100% satisfied. I'm very picky about my car and where I take it. I came across this place here on Yelp and saw the positive feed and gave them a try. I needed them to get my new exhaust system installed and they are very fair with their pricing. It's not all fancy with a white wall waiting room but don't judge it cause of that. If you go to a shop you should only be concerned about a clean install. They all work as a team and made my mustang sing and I'm very happy with the final product and would recommend this place.
