There was no effort to commuinicate with me concerning what repairs was going to be performed and what they were going to cost before they were performed. It's been SOOO long since I've had an excellent car service (not just an OK or pretty good on), that I kinda forgot what it was like. AJ is the epitome of taking GREAT care of the customer by: --timely, proactive communication about the job milestones via phone and texts --high energy attitude toward getting the job done, on-time. I needed to replace a high-pressure fuel pump and they knocked it out in about 2 hours! --AJ actually showed me the new part to be installed. That was a first! She had a diagnosis within 2 hours of my jeep being towed in ( they have a tow service they use) and she went in thorough detail what I needed. These guys did a phenomenal job on my 1981 Bronco and were great to work with. They fixed numerous exhaust leaks and did a lot of work on my exhaust manifold. When I got the Bronco back I had problems tuning the Carb, so I took it back to AJ for help. His mechanic, Fernando, diagnosed it and found the automatic choke was not working. He fixed the choke and tuned the carb without even charging me. It runs better than it ever has and I couldn't be happier. The guys in this shop are always available to talk and are trustworthy. I came here with the intention of getting my car checked up due to some nasty noises it's been making. -Imagine the trust that's needed for this-. Only reason I decided to give them a chance was due to a friend who had recently used them. He raved about their hospitality and willingness to go above and beyond such as; taking pictures of the problem and sending them to him while he was at work, offering him a ride to work while the car was getting fixed (he worked relatively close), being completely transparent, and the list goes on. Thank goodness the hospitality point was true. A little background - my car is lowered therefore a few more intricacies come with it. This was not a problem for them. As usual I came to G&S with a lot of fear. Regardless of the great reviews you never really know if they're not from friends and family, right?? I have a 2004 car and I don't have the budget that includes car repairs. I sat in the spacious, inviting waiting room literally in tears with worry. All the while praying that the repair would not be more than I had to pay. Finally Aj came in and said he had bad news. Seriously?! My mom died in February, I had a fire in June and I lost my dog and cat as well as belongings. SURE, I CAN HANDLE more bad news He said it'd be expensive with a long explanation. But it was a repair I DID NOT NEED TO GET! Omgosh did I hear him right!? AJ was honest and upfront. He recommended not getting the repair done!! He did not even charge me for the computerized test he'd ran on my car. The one my old mechanic charged $79.95 for. So....the reviews were right. This place IS great. Even though I had already authorized the (much more expensive) total AC replacement, they ended up calling me and said it wasn't necessary to do the total replacement after all, just some parts which ended up saving me around $500.
