They are not affordable. I had them come out and look at my hot tub. They destroyed my hot tub and they refuse to fix it. They left the cover off my hot tub every time they've come out. I have contacted them multiple times to try to get them to finish their job and they refuse to do it. read more

We have never had anything but great service from these guys. They even delivered out tub Christmas week! We had a couple of issues, but John came right out the same day and fixed it. He was super nice and made sure that I had the appropriate set-up for my disability. I love the idea of getting a rebuilt tub. Why throw all that material into a landfill? When I moved to Eugene I selected this company to install/ setup my hot tub. Bert, the owner, said he refers everyone to his employee, Randi. I scheduled a date and he never showed up. I called again and scheduled another appointment. He insisted that he charges $350 just to come out. The day of our scheduled appointment he arrived late, had to leave several times because he "forgot needed tools and supplies", and added this to my bill. We reviewed how he was going to run the materials from my electrical panel out to the tub. Unfortunately, I had to leave for work and could not monitor the process. When I came home, I found that he drilled a huge hole through my garage wall. When I contacted him to complain and ask about the huge hole, he said he didn't measure correctly or buy enough material to do it as planned. Then he asked if I'd like a back rub to help with my stress. I tried to contact the owner, Bert, countless times only to be ignored or left on hold. I even went to the store and was repeatedly told "he's busy" but you can see directly into his window and he was just sitting at his desk. AVOID having this company help you with ANYTHING!!!!!! Had to use them for repair on tub...kept changing time frame for when I could expect a service call four to five weeks out then showed up unannounced. "Hellooooo"?! $60.00/hour plus parts... Love our Maximus Sundance spa. Bert and his crew are top notch. They were very professional all the way around from the beginning to the end. If you're going to buy a spa I would check here first before spending thousands of dollars on a brand new one when you can have a used one with all new parts for half the cost. This review is just for customer service. I came into the shop around 4:30 on a Monday afternoon. The door was standing open but the lights were off and the "open" sign was off. I went in and was apologetic that I may have arrived after closing. The woman snapped at me that they are open till whenever. Ok. I then said we are renting a place with a spa and need the chlorine pellets that go in the floating device that has a round top and a stem that hangs down. I made it clear that I have no experience. She said she had never heard of a chlorine device like that. When I expressed confusion she said there is a bromine device like that. Ok, I don't know what I need or what I'm talking about. But I expect friendly education. She asked what size I wanted and I, of course, didn't know. She snapped that she can't shop for me AND sell her products. I didn't understand that, but I was ready to be out of there. I grabbed whatever size, and a scum reducer, and beat feet. I don't mind paying for good customer service and reliable answers to questions but now that I have an idea what I need I'll order online or hit up Jerry's. read more

We bought a "rebuilt" hot tub from Affordable Spas 3 or 4 years ago and have had multiple problems with it. They covered costs during first year but charges after that have been excessive and not surprisingly it takes weeks to get a service call. I would not recommend a purchase from them. read more

They came out in December to look at our jacuzzi and didn't charge us because it was a minor issue even though they typically still have a service charge. And as far as our pool they have always been helpful in selecting the right chemicals and selling quality products. Thanks! read more

After a previous positive experience 6 years ago, I was optimistic in returning to purchase another refurbished spa. Unfortunately I had a frustrating and very unprofessional experience this time. Many appointments were made but the owner no showed. After repeatedly requesting better communication around the time line for delivery, I was ignored. After 2+ weeks of waiting (after being told initially that I'd get the spa within a few days), I went out and purchased a new spa for less $ that was delivered the next day. When I went into Affordable Spas and Pools to get my refund, I was confronted by the owner who got angry and called me foolish for not taking his spa. I am a diy kinda guy and I came in looking for a specific part and the guy that helped me, albeit gruff looking and not extremely personable, provided me with the part I needed and gave me excellent advice on how to fix my hot tub. I was nervous buying from this place with the bad reviews on here. But my experience was great. They buy used tubs and recondition them, replacing all parts that need then. There were a couple of small parts that fell out after I had been using my tub for a few weeks - they were replaced with no question, and with a big smile. The installers were very fast and friendly - they knew what they were doing and got the job done. Because it was a used tub, there was a bit of a hiccup with the controller that was fixed the next day. I gave them 5 stars because I am totally happy with my tub, and with all the people who work there. we recently had a problem with our spa since it was losing water and we needed it working due to a recent car accident and could benefit from soaking in it to relieve the injury. Terry from Affordable Spa's came out and found mice had eaten through some of the connections. He was able to fix the problem at a very reasonable price. Affordable Spa and Pool is very knowledgeable about spas, repairs, professional and reasonably priced even on their house calls. About the worst company I have ever dealt with. I to wish I would of looked at the reviews and the BBB before dealing with this guy. It took me threatening to reverse the charges on my credit card for failure to fulfill his obligation before he would show up and fix the dryrot, the electrical issues and the safety hazards that were all part of the hot tub he delivered late and installed wrong. Still am going to initiate legal action as he has still not provided all the parts for the tub. I caution any person that goes in to deal with this guy. Please buyer beware. read more

Kacey nailed it, almost identical to our experience. We have had our spa for almost 20 months now, it has not worked properly from the beginning. Techs have been to our house multiple times (over 15 ). We have tried to be patient and work with owner Bert. We have had excuse after excuse, lies, and the final straw was a hang up when we told Bert we wanted him to buy the hot tub back. Very unprofessional and would not recommend.
