This is our second hot tub from Hit Springs Spas of Eugene. Our first tub lasted 30 years (!). Very happy with quality products and service.

So I roll up to Onsen Hourly Hot Tub & Sauna Rentals like a man who's got it all figured out swimsuit on, towel in hand, probably standing there like I'm about to give a safety briefing. I open that door... and instantly realize I am wildly overdressed for the occasion. Steam hanging in the air, candles flickering like we're in some low-budget romance film, and not a single person concerned with formalities. Just laughter, music, and that free-spirited, slightly janky charm of 30 years ago when nobody cared if things matched they just cared if it felt right. And those girls? Oh, they clocked me immediately. You could see it in their faces half amusement, half "we're about to fix this situation." There's some playful teasing, a little splashing, and next thing you know, I'm being coaxed into the tub like it's some kind of initiation ritual. I'm pretending to resist, holding onto what little dignity I had left, but let's be honest that ship had already sailed the second I walked in dressed like a lifeguard at a party that clearly didn't need one. Before long, it turns into full-blown chaos in the best way. People laughing, trying to pull me into the water, glow sticks getting tossed in like we accidentally invented a neon hot tub rave, candles lining the edges, and yeah someone passes around a little herb like it's part of the ceremony. It wasn't fancy, it wasn't polished heck, it was a little rough around the edges but that's what made it perfect. It felt real. Like one of those nights you couldn't plan if you tried. And somewhere in all that between the laughter, the steam, and me finally giving in and joining the madness I remember thinking, this right here is something I'm never gonna forget. Not because it was wild, but because it was genuine. Pure, unfiltered fun with zero pretense. What blows my mind is coming back all these years later... and realizing you can still tap into that same energy. Maybe you're a little older, maybe a little wiser (debatable), but the spirit of the place is still there. The hot water, the open air, the freedom to unwind your own way responsibly, of course but still with that same spark that made it special in the first place. Some places change. Some places lose their magic. This one? Still got it.

The hot tub looked rusty in spots and stained and the jets only worked on the right side except for one weak jet on the left. When we let the front desk know, they just said, "we'll look into it tomorrow," and thanked us for telling them. I thought they'd at least apologize for the sub optimal condition or maybe offer a discount on a future visit, but no.

You walk into a showroom with some exciting and inviting items for your backyard oasis. My boyfriend and I just bought a house and it came with a hot tub-a first for both of us. We were excited to find a store that specialized in pools and spas! The most *unfortunate part is the owner. We went in to simply buy hot tub test strips. We were side swiped by the owner who was going to 'help us' She treated us as though we were being screened for adopting a child. She was anxious with a superior tone that would make anyone feel scolded. It was uncomfortable to be around her. There was no browsing or space to look for the supplies-because she definitely owned the room. We wore masks and were respectful to maintain social distance. We simply were quiet and stayed on task asking for test strips. She went on and on about how she 'always has to educate people about their spas.' He voice was loud and she would eye each of us-looking us up and down. At one point my boyfriend said, 'so do you not want to sell us the test strips?' After we were scolded and schooled on our spa we left feeling just icky. Why would anyone ever shop there? Best wishes if you dare to enter....

Always been active, have own home gym and hot tub already, been wanting a sauna for years but didn't really have the room for any type of inside sauna. So my wife and I would always venture to sauna places on vacations (Archmedies Banya in SF, HAVN in Victoria BC, Connect Wellness Vancouver) and we're even using ONSEN in Eugene 2-3 times a week at 40 bucks a pop. Wife and I ventured out west 11th to Cedar Works to take a look. Walk in and see the Northstar traditional steam 5x7 outdoor steam sauna. Price somewhere around $15,000 delivered and installed (minus electrician cost). The inside design was perfect for us, top bench long enough for me (6'3") to lay down with room to spare. Staff was patient and informative leaving me with enough information to be potentially shrink my bank account by 15,000. 2-3 days pass by and I decide to try and pull the trigger. I email them asking if there was any type of left over home show discount or "bald, blue eye discount." Get a response knocking off a couple hundred using the "bald/blue eye discount" if I come down and purchase it today. Get down there quickly as to not miss the "bald/blue eye discount" and pay for it. Install in our backyard scheduled for sept 16-17th. In the couple weeks of waiting (think waiting to open Xmas presents as a kid or waiting to turn 16 to get your license, seemed like it took for freakin ever!) wife and I cleared the area and followed the advice of laying down 3 pressure treated 4x4's for the sauna to be installed on. Electrician recommended by Cedar Works contacted us and came out prior to give an estimate which was around $1700. He was great to work with and knew his job! Install day arrives, the dudes show up and do their thing and the second day while they are finished up, the electrician shows up and does his thing. All of the sudden it's done! We used it that night and every night we have been home since, sometimes multiple times a day. The sauna comes bare wood so stain is recommended to be done asap. Cedar Works recommended Cabot's timber oil and the wife went to work staining. She did an awesome job! Experience: Quality of the sauna is incredible, use is easy, especially with the app, heats up quickly, we keep it at the max temp which is 194. Daily+ use for the last 2.5 months and the sauna has performed perfectly! Cedar Works experience: Down to earth, friendly, and knowledgeable. Price was actually cheaper than I saw online for the exact same model without installation. The installation crew knew exactly what they were doing and worked fast and efficient. Electrician did quality work making the 220 line coming from the breaker box as invisible as possible . So, if you are on the fence trying to decide what kind of sauna, where it could be placed (inside or outside) you gotta pay Cedar Works a visit. I am very glad I did! It's an investment, but it's for your health and quality of life which is worth the investmen. Thanks Cedar Works! Probably have to visit you guy's again when we decide to replace our hot tub.

Spa and Hot Tub I feel it's my responsibility to warn potential patrons to avoid this business like the plague, unless you're willing to tolerate a passive aggressive sales staff and inept service people. During a recent service call to replace part of the hot tub plumbing, the serviceman failed to fix the issue and made the problem worse. The service guy spent three and a half hours, much of it spent listening to audio books while he worked, and or on the phone with his service manager. At one point when he realized he couldn't solve the problem. I found him laughing loudly talking to himself about not being able to solve the problem. Tools, parts, and instructions were scattered, and both van doors were open, showing a messy heap inside. At one point he asked me if I had any O ring lubricant. When I went to check on him an hour later, I noticed that the electrical tester was out, although there was nothing wrong with the electrical. When I asked him about this, he confessed that he had turned off the breaker and was unable to reset it. He left shortly thereafter, with the job unfinished and no power to the tub. I was able to restore the power easily by resetting the GFCI breaker. The next day when I went into the store to tell the manager that I was able to restore the power, he went ballistic on me, slammed his fist on the counter and started screaming at the top of his lungs about what a terrible customer I was, I lived too far away, how he should have declared my hot tub DOA months ago and on and on. The guy screaming at me from behind the counter was so angry and so obese that I honestly thought that this unprecedented meltdown would cause a heart attack or stroke. I was too gob smacked to even respond. As I was slinking out the door, he was still screaming that I wouldn't find any other place in the area that provided better service or was less expensive. I guess you do get what you pay for. However, the reality is that there are Affordable Spa Services just across the river in Springfield. Avoid this business!
