Driver #585, Joe, was professional, courteous, and incredibly helpful. I had my 4-year-old with me and a fully loaded car, and he worked alongside the responding police officers to ensure our vehicle was safely towed and that my family and I got off the highway safely. I hit a piece of steel on I-90. I was in a tractor trailer. It took out my trailer brakes and I was…read moreable to get onto an on-ramp, off the highway, out of the way of oncoming vehicles. The state troopers called their next available vendor: Interstate Towing. They arrived in a short amount of time and proceeded to back off the trailer brakes. It soon became clear to me that the technician didn't know what he was doing. After many attempts, and maybe a YouTube instructional video, he managed to free up the brakes and I was able to move. They had two vehicles, a smaller tow truck and a rig to tow tractor trailers. They insisted I now follow them to the tandem yard off exit 51 on the MA Pike. I told them that my terminal is literally a few hundred yards away and that I had time-sensitive freight on board that needed to be off-loaded. I questioned their rationale for going to the tandem yard as opposed to my yard, a very short distance away. As we got off the exit I drove past the tandem yard heading for my trucking terminal yard so we could complete paperwork and the freight could still "make service". The driver of the small tow truck aggressively drove past me and cut me off skidding and abruptly stopping in front of me. I only had tractor brakes and thankfully was driving at a slow enough speed that I could stop. They blocked the exit to Burnett Rd tying up traffic and called the state troopers. The police escorted me to the tandem yard where they took another hour to tow my truck less than a quarter of a mile. This was reckless, dangerous, unnecessary, and clearly just a way to get more money. Be that as it may, I understand that my company deals with these situations on a daily basis. However, the blatant disregard for the smooth and efficient operation of the supply chain. which is critical. especially in this economy, in order to pad the coffers of Interstate Towing is downright shameful and reprehensible. The tow driver and the state police tried to frame this as an issue of safety. That is completely specious and disingenuous. I already drove the truck 5 miles at 55 mph and they were not letting me proceed another few hundred yards at 15 miles per hour!? I had no choice but to use them since the state police were involved. If you are reading this and you ever find yourself in a situation in which road service is needed, avoid this company. Just look at the other reviews and, oh by the way, look at their long history of controversial and questionable decisions made in their neighborhood and society as a whole. These are probably mostly good people who work there but the business ethics and guiding principles by which this company operates is questionable at best. Avoid them at all costs!

We were driving from New Hampshire to Philadelphia to visit our son in college. Our car was…read moredriving poorly, shaking and wobbling, so I pulled off the Interstate in Holyoke, MA. As soon as I pulled off, it felt like the tire burst, but as we found out later it was actually a couple of studs holding the wheel on had sheered completely off somehow. We are new to the area and had literally just had the vehicle inspected in NH to register it the week prior, so it was surprising something so big would happen so soon afterward, but I digress. We have USAA roadside assistance. You get no choice in your tow-truck company, so we didn't choose Casiano's ourselves per se, but at that point we just desperately wanted to be off the exit ramp and had no notion that they would no-show. We were given a window of 60-90 minutes. We also got a little link that supposedly shows where the tow-person is located. I opened it up every so often and he would actually be farther away the closer we got to the end of the time limit. Like it would say he was "8-38 minutes away." Then "14-44." It just kept changing and in the opposite direction. It was January but thankfully it was mid-day so while I wouldn't say it was warm, it could have been much worse, especially with two kids in the car. We are those "give the benefit of the doubt" kinda customers, but at 90 minutes we tried to call to get a status and no answer. So we called USAA and the dispatcher said, "well it shows him as 11 minutes out, so I don't want to dispatch a new one in case he shows up," and asked us to wait another 30 minutes, to which we reluctantly agreed. But she had tried to call him too, and he never answered for her, either. During the 30 extra minutes, a cop came by. He was super friendly and I gather when a cop calls a towing company in Massachusetts, they come ASAP because he got us a tow within 10-15 minutes. We called USAA back and said we couldn't wait the full extra time for Casiano's (and had no faith he would show, regardless, since he hadn't answered repeated phone calls) because we had to get off of the off-ramp at the cop's behest, and she said we could get reimbursed for the cost of the tow. She also said the tow-truck driver at Casiano's had claimed to have already done the job. So, not only did he no-show, but he also lied outright by claiming to have done the job to our insurance company. As our 10-year-old said, "that's not being honest." And our 13-year-old said "he's just being lazy." Special shout out to our policeman friend who got the ball rolling and to Ernie's Towing, who did show up, quickly, and drove us to Firestone to get our baby looked at.

I cannot recommend Red's Towing highly enough. They came promptly. They acted professionally and skillfully. They were kind and helpful. Not a single one told me by word or gesture that I was an idiot. They made sure my car was driveable and then went merrily on their way. (My car was not only driveable, it was totally undamaged!) My partner and I (her ride here) waited in my car and two cold and disgruntled men waited shivering outside, in twenty degree weather, while we occasionally tried to get assurance from the office that someone was indeed coming, but it was more than an hour after our initial call before someone arrived. The rigmarole of faxing paperwork back and forth to the main office commenced at this point, and at this writing, 1:20 in, we're still waiting to retrieve the car and be on our way. The office dispatcher or whoever answered the phone, however understandably weary of receiving angry callers, was neither polite nor helpful, and certainly unapologetic for having promised a wildly inaccurate wait time. She put me on hold mid-sentence without warning at one point, and before hanging up on me, snarled, 'it's not even your car!' If Red's is going to brag on their hold message of sixty years of family service, they ought to be able to deliver some in the present. Their ability to handle moose removal means nothing to struggling middle class working folk who merely want to pay their bloated fee to recover their car and return to work.

They admitted they did not have equipment to work on thermostat for Chevy Cruze. Though, I had a very reasonably priced oil change and I appreciated their being up front, just seems odd, they could not work on a Cruze. Wound up taking car to former mechanic in West Hartford.

After a few hours I got a call from one of the mechanic saying; his exact words " 1. My driver side power window switch was no good, 2. He has to fix the switch first before he can tell if there's going to be another problem ". What? I thought you diagnosed a car as a mechanic and recommend what need to be fix. Long story short it wasn't my driver side power window switch, it was my front passenger side window motor that needed to be replaced. He lie to me. Now! don't get me wrong I believe the owner is a good and honest person, but as you know some employees will always steal. I have attached a pic of what needed to be changed.
