My car was making a strange noise and I was told it was the wheel bearing. I brought it in only 45 minutes before they closed and Bill jumped in, took it for a spin, came back and told me it was NOT the wheel bearing but a problem with the tire and that I needed new tires. Steve has been our mechanic for years and has taken great care of our Hondas, Toyota, and Nissan. Recently my Civic was having trouble starting and, it being a busy week, I rushed instead to another garage -NOT S&L- a mile from my house, thinking it was just a battery or something quick and easy, and let's just say a month and a lot of money and trips to that incompetent garage later, I had a new battery and two new alternators, and the car still ended up completely dying and having to be towed. Off to S&L it went, where Steve quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem once and for all! Lesson learned, I'll never go anywhere else for my car! Bill & staff are very considerate, especially when I have had to have my car towed in due to an important light coming on. They always manage to finish the job in a timely manner.
