New to the area. When check engine light came on, I brought it to Felix's, which is up the road, from us and open 7 days a week. They admitted they did not have equipment to work on thermostat for Chevy Cruze. Though, I had a very reasonably priced oil change and I appreciated their being up front, just seems odd, they could not work on a Cruze. Not a good place to take your car. I was charge $96 for nothing. My passenger side front window couldn't go down and I drop my car off for a diagnostic and possible fixing. After a few hours I got a call from one of the mechanic saying; his exact words " 1. My driver side power window switch was no good, 2. He has to fix the switch first before he can tell if there's going to be another problem ". What? I thought you diagnosed a car as a mechanic and recommend what need to be fix. Long story short it wasn't my driver side power window switch, it was my front passenger side window motor that needed to be replaced. He lie to me. Now! don't get me wrong I believe the owner is a good and honest person, but as you know some employees will always steal. I have attached a pic of what needed to be changed. read more

As soon as I heard the horrible grinding noise, I looked up the nearest highly rated auto shop, which was Felix's, and gingerly drove over to them. I needed a tow for my 2500HD pickup truck to get it out of one garage and into another since the truck would not start and the first garage couldn't fix it. They pushed it behind their garage in a very awkward position that made it very challenging to get it onto a flatbed. But the gentleman from Felix's was obviously a total pro and impressively repositioned my truck so it could be pulled up on to the flatbed. He was such a super nice man as well; never got flustered and made sure my truck made it safely to a competent diesel mechanic. I was so impressed and also relieved that my roadside assistance program chose to send Felix's to my rescue! read more

Dropped off my car (with an appt) at 8am. Let the nice guy at checkin know I had to pick it up by one - he made a note on my ticket and let me know they might not be able to repair it but they could let me know what it needed. Came back at one and a guy named Eddie told me they didn't get to it. When I let him know I had had an appt, this guy rolled his eyes at me and rudely told me I needed to leave the car with them for more than a few hours. I told him it had been there for five with an appt and he just shrugged. I won't be back read more

I cant even describe how awesome Felix and his team are. I got a car from an auto auction six months ago and the engine already went. It needed a new timing belt, and a brand new engine. Felix fixed the timing belt got a new engine with under 70k miles and as an added bonus restocked all my fluids and "winterized" the car. He assured me that if i had ANY issues to give him a call. I was at a red light today and when the light turned green my car would'nt move. when I tried to drive or even put it in park there was a horrible metal grinding sound. I had to keep my foot on the gas because the car would roll backwards when in drive or park. I called Felix hysterically crying on his personal cell phone and he immediately dropped what he was doing to come tow the car. Felix arrived within 15-20 minutes towed the car, took it back to the shop, and figured out that an axel had blew. He fixed it within under an hour. The best part is that it was FREE OF CHARGE! Felix goes above and beyond for his customers and he genuinely cares and will do his absolute best to get you the cheapest price. 10 out of 10, I wont ever bring my car anywhere else and will now always refer people here! I had an issue where the gas pedal on my car fell to the floor. I used to go to the dealership but my car is recently out of warranty so I looked up Felix on the bbb.org site. I called Felix's and they were able to tow my car in less than 30 minutes. They were able to order an aftermarket part which saved me a few hundred dollars (the dealership would have replaced the whole assembly). The towing was cheap and the most expensive part of the bill was the part itself. Felix towed the car himself and he is a friendly and polite gentleman with an great attitude and went out of his way to help me out. I called because I locked my keys in my car, and Felix came and popped the lock for me. He showed up within 15 minutes of me calling, and was very quick. Not a mark on my car. Reasonably priced for the call. If I ever managed to lock my keys in again, I would call them again. read more

I took my vehicle in to Felix's (Sumner ave, Springfield MA) for repair due to a check engine light on the dash board which caused my vehicle to fail inspection. Within half hour before the shop closed, they'd called and told me that the vehicle is fixed so I went to picked up my vehicle. As I was driving home, the check engine light came back on again. I called and told them about the check engine light issue, and they said "of course the check engine light is back on" wtf? So basically all they did was removed and reconnected the battery terminal to clear it. These guys are bad, Felix's is probably good for gas and towing but I wouldn't recommend to get vehicle repair there. read more

This guy is as good as it gets! Went to Felix's yesterday when I had a flat. My dad recommended him because he goes there all the time, but I just returned to Spfld after a bunch of years and Felix doesn't know me at all. So, I was expecting to have to resist the hard sell you always get at repair shops, (you know the drill, suddenly everything in your car is broken and you need to replace it right now). Not so, he checked out my tire to find the leak - and showed me the whole process! At each step of diagnosing and fixing the flat he explained everything; not in a condescending "you don't get it" way and not in a over-my-head way. Just quick, friendly, honest and inexpensive ($25) service. He saved me over $100, that I would have spent to get two tires replaced (after resisting the upsell to four) at any tire shop in town. I'm sure they wouldn't have fixed it, just told me I need new tires. And, they wouldn't have explained the corrosion happening at the wheels - unless they were trying to sell my four new ones. Felix's is also a full service gas station and you can get free air, too. read more

This is the best place to go .I am the 3rd generation in my family to use them. My Grandmother & Mother used them before. No one wants to admit they locked their keys in the car at my daughter's doctors, but I did. Felix he came out quickly and got the door opened and a made a stressful day better.
