In my home. After a couple close calls in trying to either capture it or get it to leave my home voluntarily, my unwanted housemate was starting to do enough damage that a few days ago I contacted a trapping company that had been recommended to me by a friend. We got through the estimates, agreed upon a time, and I got ready for what I hoped would be a quick exit for this squirrel. Unfortunately, the next day came and went. We arrived on a weekend and I was looking at the likelihood of three more days with this squirrel wandering around my kitchen, living room, bedroom, etc. freely. A friend of mine jumped in. I gave her the name of the company and she was going to plan contact on my behalf - sort of a "Where are you?" call. Instead, she called the wrong company. She got in touch with Kirk from Admiral Wildlife Services. After a phone conversation, Kirk arrived at my home within the hour with traps, bait, and even an adorable dog with an appetite for squirrels. Sadly, the dog would go home disappointed. The squirrel had been hanging out in my living room all morning, however, by the time Kirk got to the house it had hidden. I was almost 100% sure where it was at, but it was proving difficult to coax out. Kirk set some traps in my small home. He took some time to look around my house for future steps to squirrel-proof the area. He was planning to go be on his way, though he would return when the squirrel entered the trap (and he was certain it would). Before he could even leave, his remarkable hearing heard the low sounds of the squirrel. It was an absolute blast to watch Kirk listen - knowing that the squirrel had noticed the trap and was likely moving toward it. Bingo. He got it. Kirk was able to remove the squirrel, which a friend of mine called "as big as a cat," and decided to go ahead and leave a couple traps just to make sure (though I was completely certain the captured squirrel was the one I'd been seeing). We could also hear squirrels in my chimney. While I could possibly say Kirk's included services planned were a little less comprehensive, the truth is he responded quickly, got the job done, took the urgency seriously, removed the squirrel humanely, is keeping traps in place, and also came up with some needed stuff for the house to really make sure things are okay once the snow melts and my 70-year-old house is a little more vulnerable. Kirk is super professional, very friendly, and just plain got the job done. In short, there's simply no doubt I'd use him again as he absolutely delivered on an issue that was really starting to stress me out. I'm extremely happy - and I no longer have an unwanted housemate.

Second call was for a VERY LARGE paper wasp nest next to our chimney. Smoked out and removed successfully. This visit was for a 'mouse problem'. He thoroughly inspected the foundation of our house, advised that the holes I assumed were from bugs are actually likely mouse nests (eewww!), suggested drainage for our downspouts to avoid potential termite problems, and laid out 'enough bait to kill a horse' for the 'up to five thousand mice' in/around our home. While I'm not excited about the assessment, it was straightforward and helpful. I hope to never need these services again, however I will happily contact Clydesdale as this wasn't a painful process. The appointment was made with only one phone call. I was called 15 minutes prior to the appointment and advised he was running late (15 minutes), which was a considerably better window than that 4 hours you get from your favorite cable company. The complete assessment, advising, and treatment for the mouse issue was one hour. I will definitely recomend to anyone having a bee problem they need removed (vs relocated), and hope that *this* visit from Clydesdale Pest Control is the last one we need.

I looked into several agencies before choosing these folks, and picked them for several reasons. First, it felt like I was talking with people, not someone following a script in a call center several states away. They're a local, family owned business that takes pride in what they do. Second, they're one of the few places in the area that offers heat treatment, which I was interested in. Third, their pricing is simple and transparent from the jump. Several places tried to sell me packages on the first phone call or refused to explain their pricing structure until they saw my home, which was a deal breaker for me. And BBI's prices were comperable to (if not more competitive than) the larger places we've all heard of. Fourth, they only do bedbugs.
