Delicious! Lamb shank with rice is my favorite!!! Had the appetizer sampler as well which is a great way to taste different dishes. Restaurant was clean and comfortable

    Combination #2

All I can say is WOW!!! Super tender meats & incredibly flavorful food with the slightest hint of spice (upon request). What may seem like a quiet restaurant in a quaint plaza is an absolute hidden gem. Staff is warm and welcoming. We ordered to-go and inside was very clean. Our first time trying Afghan food and this place knocks it out of the park. We split a combination #3 I believe that included chicken shish, beef kabob, and lamb chunks (I forget the proper name, my apologies). All three were tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Almost citrusy and spicy, a front flavor of cilantro in almost everything- we absolutely devoured it all. My husband couldn't believe how much he loved the chicken. It came with hummus and an onion tomato salad. The meats were placed on a beautiful piece of bread that was cut into pieces almost and soaked some of those meat juices. Superb. Came to about $22 I believe. We also shared a chicken soup- do not skip!! Add the green sauce! Thank me later. And lastly the Mantu- ground beef stuffed dumplings in a tangy yogurt, tomato savory topped sauce. I truly can't explain it. Top five dishes I've ever had no joke. I added some green sauce and I already can't wait to order it again. Next time I'm buying a bottle of green sauce! It was $9 for that app with about nine pieces. Next time I look forward to trying their popular lamb dish and their Nakod, a cooked chickpea app in a gravy. Can't wait for another great meal for a great deal!

First time trying this spot even though I've passed this place a million times . Nice ambiance and looked very clean. The customer service at the front was very polite and made me feel at home with his attentiveness. The food was good more on the sweeter side guess that's how Afghan food is made ‍ . Will definitely go back to try more dishes . Overall I would give it an 8/10 .

The flavors that come out of this small restaurant in a strip mall on Dempster are just amazing. If you've never had Afghani food before, Afghan kabob is a Percy place to try. They offer delicious kabobs, lamb, chicken and beef which are cooked to perfection and spiced just right. All the meats are seasoned so well that not only do you get a tasty dish but it is also moist and consistent. The service is usually pretty fast as well. I ordered carry out for dinner on. Friday evening and turnaround time was 20mins. Can't beat that for fresh cooked food to order.

To-go style. Lamb kabob with brown rice. All delicious!

This food is on point! Somehow these little hole in the wall spots always exceed my expectations. Tucked away in a little strip mall, this place is unassuming but it's putting out fantastic flavors with friendly service and quick ticket times. I had the lamb kabob with brown rice, the bread, and salad. I ordered in and my food came out in maybe 15 minutes, literally steaming. First thing I noticed is the smell of the spices and seasoning. Very aromatic which is a very good sign. Tender meat seasoned to perfection, flavorful rice cooked just right, a quick salad that brings the acid to balance the rest... really a perfect meal. The sauces! Much better than the standard stuff, the green sauce is so good I ate every last bit of it and when I ran out of meat I finished it with the bread. I'd put that on anything and everything, it's got such a nice punch of fresh flavor and just a little heat. The white sauce had a mild tang from what I'm assuming is yogurt, it's not too rich and its another perfect addition to the meal! The only negatives I had are that the floor was sticky and the price was a bit high. 20 dollars for my meal, which kept me from ordering anything extra, but the food IS worth it. The space is a bit drab and it was awkwardly quiet, but as they got more customers it got more lively. They definitely have happy regulars and if I still lived around here I'd be one of them. It seems like they moved to Morton Grove around 3 years ago and we should all be grateful they brought this fantastic food our way. I can't wait to bring a friend here and try some more of the menu!

This restaurant has a great variety of tasty, reasonably priced dishes. The staff is very kind and, the dining area is clean and peaceful. I ordered the lunch special containing Beef Shami and Chicken Shami, which comes with rice, salad, and bread. I also got an order of Bulanee Kachaloo, for an appetizer. My food was flavorful and delicious, and pleasantly filling. Visiting here for lunch, brightened the rest of my workday.

My husband and I heard amazing things about this place. So we drove from Schaumburg. This place does not disappoint. I got the lamb shank which was tender and the pulav was so aromatic. I also had to get chai. Very different and so comforting. My husband had the combo platter which he loved. The meats were very flavorful. We will definitely be back.

Rai Rai 2 reviews a minute ago New Extremely Disappointed - Unacceptable Handling of Qurbani Order I went to pick up my Qurbani order today and was absolutely shocked to see that the meat was packed in black trash bags. When I asked the associate about it, he rudely replied, "That's what we do." I then requested a proper bag or at least something to stop the blood from leaking, as I couldn't place a dripping trash bag in my car. His response? "We ran out of all bags. Nothing is there." I had no choice but to take it as-is. By the time I reached home, the car trunk was soaked in blood. Now, I have to spend extra money on professional detailing to clean the mess. This was the worst experience I've ever had. My family and I have been regular customers, buying meat and groceries from this store, but after today never again. I've also informed my friends and relatives to avoid this place. The way they handle customers especially on such a sacred occasion is disgraceful. There's no respect for the customer, no respect for the trust people place in them during Qurbani. And to top it off, the meat quality and packing looks extremely poor. I'm deeply disappointed and feel cheated. Everyone is free to make their own decisions, but this is my honest review. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what I went through. Extremely disappointed.

Flame On Peri Peri is a singular restaurant serving hot ass food. Kind of seems like it mixes American fast food with Mediterranean options such as chicken and falafel among protein options. This type of cuisine typically uses meat but there's a falafel option for those getting the meaty stuff. After hearing about it one time, I came here. It's located in a nice strip mall building, modern looking. This is an order at the counter type of restaurant. Has some spicy ass food. There's a sort of Mediterranean fast food kind of feel too. It's about $10 for one of the Rice Bowls. The vegan option for protein is the falafel. These were plentiful, a good value. Also you get a choice of sauce, and I got the creamy hummus. This also came with hot and white garlic sauce. It was fucking ass hot. This had serious hot peppers in there. For sure I would go here again. It's expensive so not all the time of course. There's a pretty big menu full of options like bowls, pitas, and salads, and there's options for both meat eaters and vegetarians.

You get a large lope sided chicken tender(according to the menu, but tenders are not that large. Think it is a cutted breast). The batter was pretty crispy.
