I ordered the mutton biryani and garlic naan. It was absolutely delicious. The service was welcoming. I definitely plan to return and would recommend!

Not even a piece of chicken in "Chicken Biryani"

I ordered Chicken Biryani and got plan flavored rice with no chicken (not even a piece chicken). I used to go to them regular before I moved to other side of Schaumburg not sure what happened with my order yesterday. Not sure ownership changed Anyways in this tough times everyone needs a second chance I will try again with this place, giving them 2 star

Decided to give this place a try, after purchasing a Groupon. What a big mistake. This is what happens when I purchase deals online, without checking Yelp first. I had a Groupon for $20, so I ordered combo #4 (chicken, lamb, beef kabobs) and a side of some hummus and falafel. I went to pickup my order and was told they were under new management, so they no longer accepted Groupons. What!?! I just ordered $25 worth of food so I could use the deal... yikes. Annoying, but I was glad I was still able to get a refund on the deal. I probably wouldn't have been as annoyed if the food was good, but I was very disappointed. I love hummus & falafel, but was not a fan of the bland watery hummus and the dry falafel. The kabobs were hit or miss, as most of the pieces were large chunks of chewy overcooked meat. This continued onto the naan, which was cooked in a tandoori oven, but still managed to be a tough chewy mess. Sorrow...

My client and I went for dinner and we loved this place. We ordered chicken curry and shrimp with garlic nan. I love Indian food and this restaurant cook really well. I highly recommend. Oh! The beer from India called Taji was so soft, my client doesn't enjoy beer but she also loved this flavor.

My coworkers and I frequent this place at least once a month. The food is extremely savory and prices are really reasonable. I've ordered a number of things here, but today I went with the lunch special. Your choice of two different kabobz (Beef, Chicken, Shish),or Chicken Shawarma, with rice or nann. I went with the Chicken Kabob, with rice, It comes with a side of fresh cut cucumber and onions. Let me tell you, for $6.99, you get a whole lot of food, enough for two or three people! I now have left overs for dinner. Service may be extremely slow, but they cook to order. Everything is freshly made. The restaurant ambience may be outdated but I guess you can say the food more than compensates for all of that. All in all, I never say no to coming here. They have pretty good gyros and sandwiches too (Beef gyro or Chicken 65 sandwich). Pro Tip: If you're just as excited as me to check in and find out you get a small free hummus with an entree, beware, it will not be honored! The lady behind the counter said that deal is about 5 years old, from the previous owners. When I advised the lady that they need to remove that from Yelp, she said they dont manage Yelp. They contacted the previous owners plenty of times, and according to them, they "forgot" the password, so no one manages their Yelp page. A tad bit disappointing. I guess the old and new owners aren't aware of the "Forgot your password" option.

Tikka Masala, Chicken Biryani & Chicken Shawarma

If you're looking for authentic, cheap Indian/Afghan food this is the place to go! We ordered Tikka Masala, Chicken Biryani & Chicken Shawarma and LOVED it. The food was filled with amazing spice and flavor, definitely going back!! For the price you get a lot of food. Only downside was the waiter forgot 1 dish we ordered but we had so much food we didn't end up needing it anyway. This place is a must try.

Since my nickname is Zahid and he knows how much I love nihari, he snapped a photo of the restaurant and sent it to me. I jokingly told him to bring some for the "owner" (meaning me), but I didn't expect him to take it seriously. He ended up dining there, loved the nihari, and decided to order an extra portion to go. Then he drove seven and a half hours all the way to Minneapolis and delivered it to me today. After reheating it, I can honestly say--it was absolutely delicious. I usually don't write reviews for places I haven't visited in person. However, after tasting the nihari from Zahid Nihari, I was genuinely impressed and felt compelled to share my experience. This restaurant is now at the top of my list for future trips to the greater Chicago area. Wishing them all the very best! P.S.: I'm not the owner and have no affiliation with Zahid Nihari--I just happen to share the same name.

The entrees is kinda where they lost quality. Though there were many good looking options, the flavor wasn't there. It was way too much masala in the rice dish and gravy to the point the food isn't enjoyable. For example the biryani had giant clumps of masala that were just inedible.
