Not reliable doesn't keep appointments, reschedules you and shows up late. That was the first time, I usually give people the benefit of a doubt. So I drop by the other evening to schedule an appointment for the next day and she told me that she would be able to do it same day between 3 or 4. I've been going to this shop for 8 years of service never had a problem until today, okay let me break down my issue. First off the price I've always paid for Medium Box Braids to the butt has always been $280.00 no more no less which I understand because that's the length I want so I have to pay for it. I knew I wanted the same braids but I wanted to add the curly hair. So when I first walked in it was the same routine they greet say Goodmorning and ask how you'd like your hair I said Medium Box Braids and that I wanted to add the curly. I also mentioned the amount of money I came with which was $280.00 and nobody informed me of the price I had to pay at the end but we're going to get to that. So the 2 girls doing my hair I never seen them before so I assumed they were new because they barely understand English 1 had to use a translator. So, we talking about the curly hair now she said "Do you want to use both packs?" I said No, not unless it's needed I prefer 1 they shook their head so I'm assuming they understood me. So it's hours past my hair is complete I love the product overall so now a lady that can comprehend English says "Can you give the money" I had no problem I gave the money she counted it she said "Is this $280.00" I said yes she said it was $360.00 so now I owe an additional $80.00 more than I was planned and that is where the problem is. So now I length I been paying for ... which is $280.00 for years turned into $300.00 I didn't mind adding an extra $20.00 but now they saying because the girls "decided" to use 2 packs instead of the initial 1 I mentioned before they charged me basically $30 per pack of the curly hair that I brought with my own money not they hair. They never informed me before that when I wanted to add the curly hair it would be X amount of money per bundles. So, now my grandmother has talked to the owner they explained that cause I had the extra 2 packs & that I had "multiple girls in my head" that is why the price is the price. I can't control how many ladies in my head and I never knew they charged more based upon how many girls come in your head because like I said I been going there for years and multiple girls always come in your head to help out. My problem is the overall HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION on the end because if I would've known the overall total would be 1000 times more than I been paying for years I would've told them (1. To change the length) & (2. To NOT use the additional curly bundle hair I provided) they do excellent work but the communication on they end with the new employees was terrible for me today. I felt like I was finessed out my money and they overcharged me for no reason at all!!! If your prices so called "changed" all of a sudden with me being a loyal customer that should've been explained to be WHEN I FIRST WALKED IN THE SHOP @7:30 AM. I honestly feel like because it was a Sunday and it wasn't that busy in there maybe 4-6 clients they had total they wanted to meet a certain money requirement and purposely agreed to what I told them I had which was $280 and decided to come up with a ridiculous addition price that summed up to $80 extra to get in they pockets so they can have extra money to split in half. Unprofessional. Theres no appt scheduled for you, braids be uneven & even when you tell them what you want, you dont get what you asked for. The second biggest lady in there acts like a rookie and doesn't know how to braid, kept asking the you gest girl in there how to braid right. They then talk in there language and laugh knowing they're not going to braid your hair right. Only reason i came here was my stylist wasnt available. Will never come back. Youngest girl in the shop braided my hair they asked me how long , but it doesn't really matter bc they do what they want to anyways . All of my braids were uneven in length to the point I can't wear a high bun . The perimeter was braided nice & neat middle sloppy to say it's box rays my parts should be box right ??? So I hope this review helps you to make a better choice of Salon. I have a 5 years old daughter and her hair is black Africans hair. I needed her hair done for her graduation which was the next day. So I thought about finding a local small business place that wouldn't be as packed like a professional salon would of been . Boy was I so wrong not to go to a professional well known salon . My experience was just horrible. I was so amazed how rude they were. They talked about me in their language to my face , and you can tell when someone is talking about you because they would stare at me , and go back to talking their language . These are some rude females . A lady needed her hair done and I was on a chair watching my child hair gets done. This older woman instead of asking me if I can move for her to do hair in the chair I was on . She comes to me and literally tells me to move. Didn't ask me if I can move . she just told me to move in aggressive rude manner . The other ladys doing hair that worked there they laughed at that , like if it was funny, they stared at me , and in their language went back to talking . I assumed it was about me. I mean what else they can be talking about as this is going on. As I thought of their rudeness I got so angry. Then this Jhira named female doing my baby hair. She was pulling her hair so hard to the point she was making her cry. Instead of her stopping and watching how she's doing her hair . She didn't stop. She just ignored her , and kept pulling on her hair. What a night mare. I was hurting inside but Since I don't know no one to do my baby's hair . I dealt with their rudeness and cried inside seeing my baby get hurt . Beware of that place . I suggest not going there at all . The place was unsanitary.
