She spent a considerable amount of time using their equipment to analyze my wife's walking technology. She then spent considerable time asking my wife what she was looking for in a sneakers- in terms of fit and function. Tyler then brought out quite a few pair of different brands of sneakers. She and my wife analyzed each pair in terms of comfort and features. One thing that I found quite impressive was that Tyler had the discussion with my wife vs looking at me even though we were sitting together. Many other sales people in other stores tended to direct the conversation to me even though it was abundantly clear my wife was the customer. Tyler was extremely knowledgeable and personable and patient. She wanted to be sure all questions were addressed appropriately and in the end my wife did choose one of the pair Tyler recommended. This was a wonderful shopping experience and we would not hesitate to return to the Colonie store for future needs. Ask for Tyler if you go and we are sure you will also be impressed.

It had been ten years since I was last here, choosing more recently to shop for sneakers at the outlets instead. But I was not happy with the last pair I purchased at an outlet and desired to shop this time where I could rely upon an employee to search, instead of me, through the store's stock for what I was looking for. Vivian did just that. I explained what I was looking for, and described what features I wanted to avoid. She then retrieved from their stock several pairs that met all my criteria. After trying out all of them by walking throughout the store, I made my choice. But I wasn't finished yet. She had responded to an earlier question regarding arch support that none of the brands of sneakers the store carried had arch support. I therefore said I was interested in purchasing a separate pair of insoles that would be appropriate for my feet. She brought me to a 3D foot-scanning machine that showed the shape of my arches. Based upon that information she had me sample several different insoles that would address my needs. Once I made my choice she custom cut the appropriate pair of insoles and inserted them into the new sneakers I was buying. I got to also retain the insoles originally provided by the manufacturer. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Ten days have now passed and I'm quite satisfied with the feel and fit of my new sneakers.

What the hell do I know about soccer? And yet, for one season, I was a coach for a team of eleven…read moreyear-olds, essentially defined as mashed potatoes with legs and destructive tendencies. However, it was very enjoyable. The team mostly consisted of kids whose parents wouldn't even stop the car, just letting the kids roll out as they drove away. One kid wore a porkpie hat and kept a toothpick in his mouth during practices. Another could scream at such a high pitch that dolphins went deaf. Some were HULK SMASH everything in sight. Others were face-magnets for soccer balls. And a couple were actually rather earnest about playing. Halfway through the season, though, they gelled as a group, and commenced winning against their rival team. Even I benefited, once completing three jumping jacks while leading a warmup. Parents began showing up to cheer on their kids, and even participated in a kid vs. parent game one memorable and almost tender practice night. One the last day of the season, my team raided the coolers and tote bags of their rival team's parents, walking away with sodas in their cargo pants and candy and treats scooped up in their shirts. When confronted, one kid said, "You don't understand. This stuff to us is like beer to you." "Gin," I had to remind him. AYS is really a fantastic venue for kids in the Albany area, and my team was definitely an anomaly. Parents should check out the website and support this excellent city-sponsored resource. It costs next to nothing, and you can even coach.

So the State Seal Spring is the marquee destination here, but for something worse-tasting but more unique the Geyser spring is within the same structure. Unfortunately the Charlie spring near the SPAC entrance wasn't flowing as of mid-December. The pine trees get five stars. I wish there were bathrooms available but that could be a seasonal thing. The park is technically reachable by bus but you might have to a wait a bit.

This is already my fourth visit here this season, and I've been coming to Control Tower Ice Cream for years. It never disappoints. They have a huge variety of both soft serve and hard ice cream flavors, along with a ton of sundae options. Portion sizes are very generous too, both for sundaes and cones. Today I had the Chocolate Overload Sundae with Moose Tracks ice cream. It came with delicious hot fudge, little peanut butter cup pieces in the ice cream, Oreo crumbles, whipped cream, sprinkles, a cherry, and even a fun size Hershey bar on top. So good. While I was there the people in line in front of me got slushes that looked very much like bomb pop flavors. I bet there's awesome! Almost changed my choice but I stuck with my original sundae choice. I've also had their brownie sundae in the past, and that was excellent too. Trust me when I say a regular size is already pretty large. The large is enormous. This is probably my favorite ice cream place in the area, with Kurver Kreme right behind it. Another thing I really like is how quickly they move people through. Even when there's a line, I've never had to wait very long to order or get my ice cream. They also have go-karts and batting cages, which makes it a fun place overall. The go-karts aren't open until May 16th, but it's nice having those attractions there. 5 stars.

Absolutely disrespectful owner . He ref'd one of my games and cried to me about not wearing shin guards , so I said no problem at all , and went and got some in the lost and found . I then returned , and he went from 0 to 100 crying that now I didn't have socks on . I told him "oh don't worry I don't come often , but if I come again I'll be sure to have them on " ---his response was " I'm not worried about anything I own the fucking place and I'll talk to you how I want to , so don't tell me to worry about shit and sit down " ..this man is probably in his 50's talking to a kid like this . I told him he lost my business and will never return , among telling other people not to either . This is merely pick up soccer people . Do not come here . Or just avoid the old man ref . If I could give less than one star, I would. afrims allows American League sports to access their fields. They do NOT support children with disabilities at all!! There is zero fairness and zero regard for children who need a little extra help!! Do not waste your money having your child go through the American league for any sports offered. While the adults are on a volunteer basis, it seems like they take from the bottom of the barrel. The volunteers are rude and dismissive. They have zero desire to help and teach!! Dome in Bethlehem. The Soccer kids program is phenomenal. Fun for the whole family and a convenient location for people who live in Delmar and Bethlehem. The kids are always raring to go the coaches are great and its an awesome way yo keep the kids moving. The exercises are definitely age appropriate and focus not only on athleticism but also comprehension and following of directions. The site is brand spanking new and clean as a whistle. That means the things I look for in a bowling alley are pretty different. Town-N-Country Lanes has all the kids staples: - Alley bumpers to prevent frustrating gutter balls - Ramps so that balls make it all the way to the pins - Plenty of six pound balls that can be held by tiny arms - Velcro shoes in the smaller sizes - Pizza that isn't entirely awful The lanes are in fine shape for casual play. I do long for the old fashioned manual scoring, that was good for teaching kids math. But the electronic scoreboards make a game of bowling hassle free. And that's important because getting five small children to complete a single game of bowling can be a herculean effort in and of itself. That's where the bar comes in. Unfortunately, I didn't get to put that or the snack bar to the full test. There were plenty of cheap deep fried treats available. One day I may have to try those out at a Saturday night Rock 'N Bowl. That weekly event sounds like a great deal: $10 unlimited bowling (including shoes) from 10pm until 1am. It says they take music requests. I wonder if they'd play some Creedence.

The class is a little loud and overstimulating for me as an adult at times but I really enjoy doing this with them. This will be our 3rd session. I also appreciate Matts laid back deamenor and flexibility. Sometimes my kid is acting up but Matt will dance with them or work to include them in the class more.
