I contacted multiple places but Jhoanna was the only one who could squeeze in her busy schedule to work on my dance skirt within 5 days. She made sure to understand how I wanted and if I liked it after she worked on. The skit came with uneven length at the original purchase and I was steeping on it although I rolled up waist band during dancing. Not only she shortened the skirt length by several inches from the waist because wire was in the bottom but also she made my skirt even length. I totally recommend her!

Jhoanna is a dream to work with! Extremely skillful, sweet, reasonably priced, and FAST! There was a delay in getting my wedding gown, so I only had about a month and a half to get it altered. Fortunately, I only needed a bustle...but it was a crepe dress with a long train that showed everything, and needed to drape perfectly. She finished it with time to spare, and patiently walked my mother through how to put it up and take it out, multiple times. I went to Jhoanna again a month ago, to take in a Renaissance dress to fit me. It was my dream dress, but came in much too big. She did a beautiful job taking it in and fitting it to my body. I felt like a princess and received so many compliments on the dress! I couldn't have been happier with my experience either time, and I will 100% work with Jhoanna again. read more

Jhoanna was a delight! I had 2 pants that required hemming and needed a quick 2 day turnaround! Thanks to Yelp, I located Jhoanna and contacted her on Saturday. Asked how long it would take, and she said within a day....like tomorrow (Sunday)! Tomorrow, that fast! She means business! Cost was definitely reasonable given the quick turnaround. I had a bridesmaid dress altered by Johanna and it turned out perfect! She hemmed it along with altering the straps to fit rather than be adjustable. She was able to fit me in with only a week's notice and delivered amazing results. I will definitely come back if I have more alterations needed! read more

I can't thank Jhoanna enough for making last minute alterations to my wedding gown! My bustle needed changed from a single point to a 5 point and it needed taken in because I lost weight. I brought the dress from Ohio so I was unable to take it to the small shop where I bought it and had initial alterations 3 months prior. I had one week to get it altered before I left for my wedding and was anxious to hand over this dress with complex hand sewn lace from Ukraine. I threw caution to the wind out of necessity and am AMAZED at her work. Within a few minutes she assessed what needed to be done and made additional suggestions to improve the fit like inserting boning. Moreover, these small (inexpensive) changes truly transformed the fit. Jhoanna will forever be my go to tailor in Dallas. I can't wait to post pictures! read more

I was a week out from the wedding I was in the bridal party for and had majorly procrastinated on getting my dress hemmed. While trying it on I realized it needed to be let out a little and also a strap had broken. I messaged out on Yelp and a few companies responded but this one really stood out. Everyone else was unable to guarantee having my dress done in time but she had no problem guaranteeing that she'd be able to get it done. I went in on Thursday, she fitted me and then had me come back again the next day to be sure we had everything perfect before she finalized it. On Monday I picked up the dress and everything was perfect- hemmed, let out at the top and straps re-fortified to ensure I didn't have any other breakages. I was SO impressed with the service I received and the quality of the work especially considering the time crunch I was in. 100% would go back and will recommend her to anyone in the Dallas area!! read more

Title / Rating: 1 Star - Damaged garment, refused accountability…read more I brought a pair of shorts here solely for a standard zipper replacement. When I picked them up, the original work was unacceptable. The sizing had been changed when they installed the new zipper. Bringing this to their attention, they agreed to try and give inches back. Upon pickup of the attempted fix, however, the metal buckle and buttons had been altered to the point where they no longer close, and the zipper work left the garment completely unwearable. When I brought this to the owner's (Giovanni Perez) attention with photographic evidence requesting a resolution, I was told they "did nothing wrong" and refused to take any responsibility or offer a refund. Buyer beware: if your clothes are damaged in their care, they will not stand behind their work or make it right. Photos attached. You can see how they put the button and clasp on top of one another so neither is functional, and how they moved the hook twice (once during the original tailoring, which they deny in spite of the evidence on the garment, and again when attempting a repair that also crushed the metal of the clasp).

Dropped off a dress on Saturday and was told I'd receive a call by Tuesday to let me know if the zipper on my dress could be fixed or it would need to be replaced. Tuesday came around and no one called, I called on my way home from work between 5-6pm. I couldn't say a gentleman answered the phone, because he was everything but a gentleman! He was rude as hell, I let him know that I was waiting to hear from the lady that I dropped my dress off with to update me. His response was, why was she needing to call me. Which I clearly had stated, so she can let me know what needed to be done and the cost; before I decide to move forward. He claims they were so busy all day, and that's why I didn't get a call. He mentioned that I needed a new zipper and sometimes it's not worth the work, but he'd get a price and call me back. When he called me back, he quoted me a price. I asked if it needed to be changed, could they possibly put a gold one on the dress. He got smart and said something rude, and the call wasn't pleasant at all. I told him not to do anything to my dress and that I'd pick it up. So I go to get it, and he tells me it was taken by alterations. I never authorized them to proceed, so now I have to go back the following day to get my dress. I told him I'd do a review on Google, which he didn't seem to care at all. Bragging they've been in business for 40 years, I'm pretty sure his mom is the owner and he can't get a real job so he's working there and driving her customers away. Lastly, he called me a bitch as I drove off. But any man who calls a woman a bitch, is the real bitch. Needless to say, some people do not belong in customer service. I hope they lose customers, horrible place to do business with! Save your time and money!

Johanna did an amazing job altering my wedding gown! No obstacle is too big for her. When she started working on my wedding dress I was 4 months pregnant which was definitely a challenge considering we were not sure how big I would get by my wedding day (3 months later). She worked on my dress up until 3 days before my wedding and it fit like a glove. I also wanted sleeves added to my dress and she constructed them out of scratch and they looked absolutely beautiful, they looked like they belonged to the dress. She is also very flexible with scheduling! I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of wedding dress alterations (or any sort of alterations for that matter) read more
