A personal situation arose and when I picked it up I could not play it for weeks. When I finally did, the E string (5 string bass) rattled like a snake. I called immediately but their "warranty" on the work expired. I took it in for work early Sept. 2025, called them early Nov. 2025. Roughly 2 months. Okay. Cross Danny D's off my list. Very creepy and not the sort of environment to road test an instrument, unless you play a lot of wakes.

GUITAR CENTER makes it affordable and easy. Their prices are the same as the competition... More importantly, they trust you for 45 DAYS to test your new keyboard. I went through several purchases until I settled on one. Can you imagine the shipping costs I would have endured to return several online purchases? By now return shipping would have equaled the price of the keyboard... BUT GUITAR CENTER never charged me for restocking... not one cent, ever. Now more about the Motto to my story... I am talking about the best store manager ... His name ironically is Andy Motto. Andy Motto's interest, professionalism, and patience with me made it all happen successfully. He has been with me on my journey that started one year ago... For example, my recent purchase in February 2025 had a couple of bad keys. Here is the best part though, when picking up my Martin, I inquired about them fixing one of my other guitars for me. I have an old guitar that was broken around 2005, and all this time thought was a lost cause due to other shop saying it couldn't be fixed, however after showing it to Mike and Chase, they were willing to try and fix it, and they did! It was broken some 19 years ago, and this whole time it's gnawed at the back of my mind that it was broken and would never be properly playable ever again, and they were able to fix it, for $97!!! They took a sadness that has been hanging on my shoulders for almost two decades, something I've always been mad about with how it was broken, and lifted that sadness away. Truly amazing, and I'm so grateful for their expertise. Plus, they're exceptionally personable and nice, which is everything you want when needing help. So I buy a new guitar with a Floyd Rose shimlow system I take it to the guitar tech it Fairmont…read morewhen I take it to him the tremolo is floating level after he works on it it's all the way down half of the action is lost I have to go to the Webster or clear lake guitar center to get with a guitar tech that actually knows what he's doing working on your guitar and when the kid was working on my guitar on Fairmont he didn't care about scratching my guitar he could care less it was brand new it was one day old when I took it to him scratching the guitar that wasn't even on his radar I have never had a more unprofessional experience anywhere I suggest if you need to have your guitar worked on take it to the clear lake store cuz the guitar tech there seems to know what's going on I actually left Fairmont after the guitar tech messed up my trim low and drove to the clear lake store and I got the guy on the phone he was like yeah I could take care of that took it to him within 20 minutes he had my guitar correctly adjusted but it didn't change the fact that I drove to two different stores and I actually went to the Fairmont store the day I got the guitar but the guitar tech wasn't there anyways it was a horrible experience and I suggest you never take your guitar to get worked on by this kid
