I learned how to make perfect macarons from Anet's team. There really isn't a better macaron to be had. Despite learning from the BEST, we still crave hers as the variety is incredible. It was Easter when I put in my first order. I've known of AG Macarons for a few years and had been eager to try their sweets. I follow them on IG and noticed they were having a sale so I put in an order for twelve. In the box, the flavours I chose were: pistachio, birthday cake, toasted coconut, chocolate hazelnut, cotton candy, pink champagne, salted caramel, lemon meringue, tiramisu, mango passionfruit and bubblegum. Salted Caramel - decent Pink Champagne - too sweet but was very fresh when I cut into it. Cotton Candy - my favourite flavour hands down. Toasted Coconut was very tasty - had a light and fluffy cream. Could taste the coconut but it was also very sweet. Lemon Meringue - really good when cold. Hint of lemon. Bubble gum - so yummy!! Had it cold too. Bit right into it and it flaked everywhere. The flavour was delicious though I was left with blue lips and tongue. Mango Passionfruit - so so good. Enjoyed it! Pistachio - another good one. Nutty. Tiramisu - would've paired well with coffee as it had a subtle coffee flavour to it. Birthday Cake was also good but very sweet. And the chocolate hazelnut was okay. I halved the macarons to be able to sample them and ended up trying three flavours on the day I bought them and eating three more on the last day before polishing them off. They're rich in ingredients and taste. They're pretty costly but worth trying at least once. They came in a pretty box too. read more

I quite enjoyed their macrons. I had high expectations and they were pretty much met. They seem to be kept refrigerated in their display case, so they're not very enjoyable to eat straight away. I bit into my vanilla and the filling was way too tough. So I decided to let them get to room temperature first to have a proper taste/experience. Good thing I did! The vanilla and tiramisu were excellent! Macrons had a nice crunch. Didn't crumble all over the place and the filling was just right. It was a great balance between the shell and filling. I picked up pistachio as it's my gf fave, but this is not a usual go to flavour for me. It seemed a little too sweet for me, but who knows, maybe that's what pistachio is supposed to taste like lol. Either way, I judge macaron places on how well they do a vanilla and they nailed it. Their boxes are super cute too. It's $14.00 for a box of 6. since moving into the area i was hoping for a macaron place close to home.. san remo (one of my all time fav bakeries) do sell macaron but it just isn't the same as butter avenue or nadege... anywho, as we were driving by queensway i noticed this elegant and bright store front that said macarons in caps. immediately i knew i had to try them! We came in on a rainy sunday afternoon and it was not busy at all. The store itself is quite small but has a huge kitchen behind. No bakers were working on the sunday but the cashier (who was very helpful!) The price of macarons are fair but the taste of them were only ok. Coming from someone who has tried many many macaron places throughout the GTA (butter avenue still being my favourite) i didn't find the taste any extra special. The shell of the macaron was crunchy and delicate but the filling was overly sweet... my understanding of macaron was that it should be a light dessert.. not a "hurry i need my water because it is overly sweet" kind. we opted for the box of 6 and out of all the flavors in there my favourite was the strawberry creme? it was flavourful of strawberry but once again a tad bit overly sweet for my liking. they had quite a bit of flavours... but was disappointed to know that the macarons are not made fresh daily.. packaging was nice but it wasn't elegant like other macaron places.. especially the paperbag they give it to you in (white paper bag from dollarama) overall if i were to have macarons again i don't think i would come back here since im already satisfied with other places. read more

I have to admit, I do tend to use Ladurée as the benchmark for what a Macaron should be and I found the ones from Anet Gesualdi Macarons to be rather bad. The packaging is good and looks presentable however they have no specific flavour or identifiable taste. Just almondy-sugaryness. When a macaron is old, it loses its flavour and what comes through is the sweetness which could be the case here...... I had them twice before writing the review just to make sure as Macarons are difficult to get right and even the best places have bad days. The people here are nice and the service is good however, I will stick to Delysèes on King near Bathurst and make the drive for the guarantee of good Macarons especially since we tend to take them as gifts Looks just don't cut it anymore..... won't be returning. Premium prices call for premium ingredients. Could be a turn around issue. read more

This place is located along the stretch of The Queensway, tucked away between random shops in an area that has a slightly sad, ghost town vibe. Blink and you'll miss it. The funky signage helps but you'd have to actually be looking for this place to notice. Anyway, on to the macarons, which were unfortunately just ok. We got the box of 12 and after tasting each one we were just like - meh, we've had better. At $2 each, you'd expect excellent bites of deliciousness but you can really get better, cheaper ones elsewhere (e.g. San Remo nearby sells them for just $1.25 and they are yummy). I'm not a macaron expert but I thought they were slightly smaller too? In any case, we're not going back. If we're craving for some of these delightful French treats, we're going somewhere else. read more

I love the Macarons from AG (Queensway location)! As we know, the city has no shortage of excellent macarons, but what sets AG apart from so many others is that their bakery (and is it ever a spiffy looking bakery) is on site, right behind the counter. The macarons here are always super fresh, never stale; and they have a good flavour profile. I'm always disappointed when macaron shops carry limited and predictable flavours. AG certainly does not disappoint with its range of tart and sweet choices. They temporarily carried a lime mojito macaron that was just spectacular. They also have Sloane teas on site and offer macaron making classes. The shop itself is small, but super cute. AG is located on a somewhat seedy, busy strip of the Queensway, east of Royal York, but don't let that stop you if you are in the area. Service is always friendly and the price is the same as what you would expect to pay for good macarons anywhere else in the city.If you live downtown it is a bit out of the way (and to be truthful, not worth the trip if you are closer to Delysee or Nadege). However, AG did recently open up another location on Dupont Street, but I'm not sure there is a bakery on site at that location. For anyone in the west end, you have no excuse to not make a stop at AG! read more

However, I didn't bother with Macarons in Canada because I believed they simply would not be as good so why bother with the calories. On a whim one day I decided to stop at Macarons on the Queensway and had a caramel macaron....OMG I could see the Eiffel Tower....they simply transported me back to Paris in one bite. The macarons at Macarons were as good, if not better, than the best macaron I have ever had in Paris....bare none. You must try Macarons as soon as you can for a real treat. We found AG Macarons through instagram and another vendor that we hired for our wedding (La Casa Dolce). We love macarons and wanted to give them out as our wedding favours so we definitely had to check this place out. The Queensway location was so cute and felt very Parisian with the light pastel colours and all the macarons out on display. We bought an assorted box and sampled some of the flavours we were considering putting out. All the macarons were fresh and had the perfect chewy texture in the meringues. All the flavours we sampled tasted absolutely delicious, but in the end, we ended up going with classic vanilla bean for our favours so that everyone would be able to enjoy them. We booked through email. They were very responsive and easy to work with. They gave us different options for box colours and ribbon colours, and told us what they thought would look best based on the color scheme we had picked for our wedding. For macarons they were very affordable. We decided to go with the kraft boxes and the white ribbons for our favours. The day before the wedding we headed over to the bakery. (Where we "sampled" more flavours -- we cant resist!) Pickup was easy to coordinate, and they accommodated us coming earlier because we had to rush to pick up our flowers right afterwards. All our favours were in one larger box which was super convenient and easy to transport. They told us how to store the macarons until the time of the wedding so they would remain fresh for our guests. When we set out the favours on the place settings before the reception, they looked beautiful and really completed the tables. When our guests entered the room to sit for dinner, as we were going around the tables to thank people for coming, we noticed that so many of our guests had already devoured the macarons! We also loved that the boxes had an allergen warning on the back of the box (CONTAINS NUTS) so that our guests were informed of what they would be consuming. It's something we didn't think of when we were booking -- thats why we leave this stuff to the pros! We will definitely be stopping by the bakery again when we're in the neighbourhood to enjoy some more delicious macarons! read more

Excellent. As good as I have had in a long time (and our family loves Macarons.) Each was bursting with flavor and soft in the center. Loved the salted caramel and vanilla to begin with - authentic flavors you could taste in each bite. Next we had pistachio and lemon poppyseed - citrus is such a refreshing flavor. Ended with dark chocolate raspberry and chocolate hazelnut - I really enjoy chocolate and fruit, so the former was my favorite. Highly recommended. read more
