We paid over $4,000 for this small refrigerator for our bar area from Marvel Refrigeration not too many years ago. All of a sudden out of nowhere, the refrigerator started beeping 3 times every 60 seconds, LOUDLY. We have high ceilings, tile floors and granite countertops on our bar and credenza, so these beeps echo and are nonstop. I called Marvel to ask how this beeping could be stopped, and was shocked to find the answer was that IT COULDN'T BE STOPPED. Because they do not sell this refrigerator model now, the parts were not being made that would repair it so it would stop the beeping. Marvel actually suggested that I resort to Ebay to look for a part that was used and hire someone to come in and trade out the part. Of course NONE were for sale on Ebay. In the meantime, this expensive baby refrigerator drives me insane on a daily basis, as I can hear the beeping in my office on the other side of the house. I can't bring myself to throw out a $4,000 refrigerator, so I suffer with enduring the incredibly annoying noise all day, all night. read more

We have a La Cornue 110 CornuFé and it's notoriously difficult to find parts at a moment's notice. We needed oven light bulbs and checked with our local distributor in California - zilch, and then wait 5 weeks until they come from France. A friendly soul tipped us off to AGA Marvel - we called and they came through - not only by having the parts in stock, but also giving us the correct part number, which isn't even posted on the La Cornue US website! Prompt UPS ground shipping, all major cc's, and very pleasant phone customer service. Recommended! read more

We underwent a kitchen renovation last fall and put in an AGA TC-3 and Hot Cupboard. While it looks amazing and I do love cooking on the TC-3 . . . the Hot Cupboard has never once worked. It will not reach a temperature past roughly 175 degrees. We have had multiple service calls and phone calls with the AGA Marvel customer service department. AGA Marvel is still unwilling to completely replace the unit. We are going on 6 months now with a brand new, insanely expensive piece of non-functional kitchen art. Ridiculous. Buyer beware. For US residents, if you purchase an AGA and have any issues whatsoever, they may never be resolved to your satisfaction. The AGA Marvel customer service department consistency blames the UK but does not deliver any results. Very frustrating. read more

If you buy a Marvel Beer dispenser then you should plan to spend $400 to $600 every couple of years on replacing parts to keep your unit working. I purchased model # 61HRBSFR in 08/30/2013 as part of our remodel. We did not use it for the 1st months because of the remodel and then it was used only periodically. In May 2017 while I was using it, I found that the appliance would not chill my beer keg. When I contacted there technical dept I was told that I needed to purchase a new thermostat kit for $206 plus shipping, tax and labor to fit. I paid nearly $2000 for this appliance and did expect it to last more than a couple of years. I read the Marvel website publicity blurb which said they were a world-class manufacturing company. Seems like they are starting to believe there own publicity as they have a long way to go for this to be a true statement. Aga marvel offers several different appliances for your home and outdoor. You will find their products being offered with several different retailers. Many of these are online retailers. You may find their products attractive due to their competitive pricing. These are typically not small ticket items. With this in mind it is understandable why one would choose this low brand recognition name. Unfortunately you may be making a huge mistake. We have an appliance that has not been working for approx 6 months. This is the new product. The first one that showed up did not work (this required a service call even though it was fresh out of the big box). We contacted their customer service department in regards to the second unit. Yes, the one that broke down approx 8 months after being in use. This is where the NIGHTMARE began. Instead of taking you through the whole story we will keep it short. Many phone calls, many service calls, missed time off from work to meet the service man, emails, voicemails later we have no resolution. Funniest part about this is aga marvel has not contacted us back. It is one of their sales companies doing their communication for them. The sales company has said aga marvel will be calling you soon. Crickets! Meanwhile the 1 year warranty has expired. Good try aga marvel no chance your getting away with this old trick. We have a friend that is experiencing the same thing with aga marvel. Ughhhh ohhhh! Buyer has been warned - stay away from these guys. This absoloutely sucks. However we will not stop til these guys quit making bad products that are coupled with un-acceptable service. Good luck! read more
