Last open house for my daughter--and brother came along to visit his old teachers! Such a beautiful journey. They grow up so fast!

Bittersweet feelings as we turn the page to a new chapter for my kids. Both of them grew, learned, and thrived at this amazing, nurturing Montessori school. It's been a place filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories--we're so grateful for the journey! We will miss all the teachers!

We looked high and low in our area (Pasadena/Sierra Madre/Arcadia) for a preschool for our daughter. After a not-so-great year at a Montessori in Sierra Madre (teachers could not handle our energetic girl and communication was terrible) we were determined to find a better fit. She thrived in the Montessori environment so when a friend recommended this Montessori school in Arcadia we were happy to tour it. From day one the director Cheryl was very attentive- she showed us around the school and spent over an hour chatting with me. Maria at the front office is an absolute joy every time I call in or come to drop off/pick up my child. The teachers are SUPER experienced and have no trouble handling my daughter. They are a wonderful balance of warm and grounded, very dedicated. When we go to the Open Houses our daughter is overjoyed to show us around and show us her projects (which are all SO COOL!!). She never wants to leave- she enjoys playing with the Montessori "toys" so much! We can not recommend this school enough! If you're considering please go for a tour. You'll love it! They are celebrating over 60 years (their director has been there for many of those years).

My son loves all three of his teachers. His mom and I do too, great school My son joined the school when he was two years old, could eat on his own and was toilet trained. The teacher took our whole family to visit the school and talked to us face to face. We started from the summer class, and in a blink of an eye, we have been in school for a year. We were able to go to the hallway and see our son in the classroom during school hours, and he had made great progress, from crying to coming to school to handing out trays at lunch time. Our whole family went to the school's open house and we had a great time.

We were at this school from October 2021-July 2026. Our daughter attended from age 1 through 5, before transitioning to public school. The educators did an excellent job preparing her academically and socially, and her transition to kindergarten was seamless. We are very grateful for the care and education she received here. The teachers and Ms. Emilene, the Director, took such good care of our daughter. She was there until she was 4.5 and the staff all became an extension of our family. The staff is so amazing! My daughter has progressed so much academically and socially just from being immersed in their Montessori program. We loved it so much, we even sent her back just for their summer camp program this past summer. I love that they teach not only academics but also life skills (including some spanish and mandarin)! Aside from their academics, their extended hours (till 6:30pm) were great for working parents and I love that they include Breakfast, Snacks, and Lunch. It's almost unheard of these days! My daughter still talks about Mr. Anthony's food! I owe a lot of what my daughter has learned to the teachers here and will be forever grateful to have had such a good experience! I highly recommend Montessori Academy of Arcadia!

My son has learned so much as he's transitioned through the various classrooms and is leaving with so much more knowledge, kindness, and skills to navigate life, than I could have imagined. Ms. Melani, Ms. Daisy, Ms. Kaushi and all of the Wee Care staff - you all have made such a lasting impact on our family! And Ms. Haydee of the Owls Class... she is truly a gem with a heart of gold. She is always so kind when she speaks, always willing to follow along with my kids' morning routine of saying goodbye at the window, and the one my son can't wait to share updates with on Monday after his weekend adventures. She is an amazing preschool teacher and I could not have asked for someone better to help set my son up for success as he starts his new adventure as a kindergartener. Working with infants is such a special experience, and it's wonderful to see how much love, patience, and attention all of the teachers here give each child. I especially love the little moments that make each day meaningful--singing songs together, reading books, playing, encouraging those first attempts at new skills, and celebrating every milestone along the way. Seeing an infant's personality develop and watching them become more confident and curious is incredibly rewarding. The teachers genuinely enjoy being with the children, and there is so much joy in the infant classrooms. He started during their summer program before TK, went for TK and then half the summer after that. He enjoyed his teachers, his friends, and the school. He has excelled so much that he's way beyond his years in math, reading and writing. He really is starting kindergarten strong. They truly are a gem and I'm sad we moved and he won't be attending on a regular basis, but glad he's had such great teachers and made such sweet and amazing friends. They have set the bar very high for us. We have been recommending the school to every one.

My daughter just graduated from Bridge after 3+ years, and I wish she could stay for years to come…read more I have several Montessori preschools to compare Bridge to, since my older child went to 3 different ones in Southern California. None of them holds a candle to Bridge. The community at Bridge is very down-to-earth. I've made some of my closest parent friends from amongst this great group of families. I would attend birthday parties and enjoy everyone I spoke with upon meeting them. Sierra Madre is also a wonderful and welcoming community for all kinds of families, and I think that also contributes to the great vibe at the school (and at the Pasadena campus!). The educators at Bridge are also fantastic. My daughter, who went in shy and fussy, came out confident and caring, and beyond ready to go to TK. The subject matter at Bridge is age-appropriate and so thoughtful. My 4-year-old is still talking about their exploration of South American countries this past year. It made a big impression on her. The educators are all kind and so sincere. Kids can work with a few different educators across classrooms each day. They love these teachers. From what I've observed, these teachers are practical, highly organized, and treat each child equally. A very expensive preschool we attended for a while in Los Angeles would gush about children to the parents, then put on a very different face in the classroom, choosing favorites and barely bothering to get to know most of the children. But not here. It's been the opposite. I also appreciated that parents weren't asked for additional money all the time for things like shows. Bridge puts on two excellent showcases each year, and if anything is asked of parents, it's a few dollars at most. To go back to that Los Angeles preschool, the kids would put on "shows" quarterly, and each time, families were required to pay $75 or more to cover costumes for essentially unorganized chaos on a makeshift stage. Bridge, quite the contrary, respected families' time and resources and put on great shows that we truly looked forward to attending in the summer and spring, which gave children confidence and something to be proud of. A lot goes into making days and various celebrations for children each month special at Bridge. I'm just going to miss it so much!

This review will be long, so for a quick summary, a racial gesture made toward my daughter was not handled properly by the school director, so we requested a two week notice to leave the school instead of the 30 days in our contract, and school director Carolina made us leave right away. In past incidents of our child coming home with wounds, we were gaslit and lied to about what happened. But regarding the straw that broke the camel's back, my 3 year old daughter came home one day and said one girl was being mean to her. She had previously said that girl was mean, and bit her arm before. We tried to brush it off as regular toddler interaction, and since she said the teacher put that girl on time out, we let it go. However, when we asked how the girl was being mean this time, my daughter pulled the outer corner of her eyes and made a slanty eye gesture. Horrified, we asked her to re-enact it so we could record it and report it to Carolina. Over text, she said she was "dumbfounded" and found it "outrageous and unacceptable." She requested an immediate in-person meeting with me. When I went to school to meet with her, she had brought all her teachers in to meet with me, and all of them denied seeing this happen. Then she even told me that the child's gesture was not racist, and had no idea that it was offensive. Carolina said she didn't even know what that gesture was, and had to Google it. Ignorance doesn't mean that behavior is acceptable. I had to explain the Asian American experience to her, but she diminished our racial experience by brushing off my statement and saying "...just like how Latinos and African Americans experience racism, it's all unacceptable." As a person of color, of course I'm aware of the different types of racism people experience, but I'm specifically talking about a racial situation at your school, so why are you making such a generalized statement...? Although I believe that child didn't realize that what she did was offensive, it was the school's responsibility to communicate with their parents to say that gesture is not acceptable in school. That would have given us confidence to keep our daughter at Chandlers' until right up to Kindergarten because we knew the caretakers were taking care of her and protecting her. Unfortunately, instead of making clear communication on this boundary, she decided to tell us to unenroll from her school immediately because it seemed like we "have been dissatisfied with this school for a while already" and that "the stress that this was causing [Carolina] is enormous." Note: enrollment papers require a 30 day notice to unenroll, but they do not honor the 30 days. We asked to shorten to two weeks, but they let us go immediately. Other previous experiences: Half a year ago, my daughter was really anxious and refused to go to Chandlers (she's usually very excited to go). We asked Carolina why, and she said because my daughter was put on a timeout the day before for climbing a fence. Then later, during my meeting about the racist gesture, I mentioned that my daughter was put on timeout before, and Carolina acted surprised and said "no she's never been put on a timeout before". It just seems like she will say whatever suits her argument in the moment, and pretend previous conversations never happened. So should we believe that A) our daughter was never put on timeout but was anxious instead because something suspicious happened at school, or B) there was a timeout but was lied to afterward? My daughter came home with a wound under her mouth one day, and the next day we asked Carolina, and she said she forgot to tell us that some other kids ran her over with a bike. We let it go at the time, but looking back, we definitely should not have. My daughter still has a scar under her mouth to this day. No incident reports ever made, no situations are ever documented. My daughter came home with wounds on her hands one day. She explained that a boy pulled her and she tripped and fell, but the teachers saw and put him on a timeout. We accept that these situations happen, and the teachers put the boy on timeout and didn't pursue this incident. However, I casually mentioned it to Carolina, and she said my daughter got those wounds because she was bear crawling around outside with her friend, and those are blister wounds. Unbelievable, my daughter bear crawls outside all the time and never gets wounds. As an early childhood provider, we had expected the school director to be more forthcoming (especially when wounds and racism are experienced) and emotionally mature. The fact that she forced us to immediately unenroll because the situation was causing too much stress for HER is mindblowing.

We were afraid we couldn't overcome such a terrible experience that gave us nightmares or we couldn't even sleep just thinking about our child's entire experience and how can a daycare run with advertised as "high quality/STEM," but no integrity and moral values....We absolutely could not continue our child's daycare program there anymore. We continued our search again for another daycare and big thank you to San Gabriel Kids Klub and staff for being there for us since the very first day we took our tour. What we saw was night and day, compared to the previous daycare and were stunned that we didn't find this hidden gem daycare earlier. My wife and I kept saying "what a blessing in disguise" that we found this place after such a horrible experience at the other daycare. What we saw on our tour: - front desk greeted every single family/childs name. - children are all so happy - the teachers knew all students names, even if the student was not in their classroom. - all students were engaged in activities (not a single kid by themselves or a group of 2-3 by theirselves). - the teacher/student ratio was fair. - All the teachers engaged and were attentive to all the students. - My wife loves the scheduled program and Curriculum based for developmental skills for each age. - Staff is extremely caring - Diverse and Cultured - Private kitchen for entire school/cafeteria - Children's Restroom are separate from classroom - All students knows each other from all ages - Tons of different activities for kids - Easy to talk to and welcomes you with open arms - Respectful where rules around - campus is strict but fair to understand We love how all teachers work together and care for each students personality. They all take their time with the students and consider the parents, along with understanding how important it is to teach culture to all ethnicities. This showed me how special it is to be a part of Kids Klub. Also, they have 3 locations and have night and weekend programs as well. We love the flexibility Kids Klub offers, from different schedule of programs, to night/weekend care, to seeing Summer CAMP, to picking up older students for after-school care program. It's been over a year here at Kids Klub and our 3year old has shown so much confidence, knowledge, skills, discipline, speech (talks so much ), learned how to control emotions, the list goes on. At first, she was too shy to speak at school due to the language barrier. But now, she has made so many friends and proudly brings home her artwork to share with us. Curricular wise is age based and is undoubtedly logically implemented. From encouragement and guidance the teachers fortify their needs through play and training. We often are so excited to see what he has acquired. I have watched my son develop in so many aspects that has layed a foundation I feel which will only propel him for the future. And I cannot express the shear joy we have had seeing him progress from an infant to toddler. From day one AEP has instilled confidence in our little one and us as well. I would enroll myself if I could ;p. As mentioned my son's love of this exemplary school is so great he decided to stay another year. You will experience unbridled joy as we have when your little ones sees their teachers off campus and schoolmates. It has been unequivocally the best decision we have made. I humbly and deeply thank ever Angel of AEP as they have touched our hearts, souls and minds. We are proud to be apart of AEP now and forever.

First of all, this establishment claims that it "empowers students to be innovative and creative problem solvers." However, this statement completely contradicts what I went through. When I was a freshman in high school, I was placed into an honors math class and felt that I was prepared for the year ahead of me. This honors class was one of the hardest classes I've ever taken even though I had taken the exact same class in eighth grade. My math teacher would often say that "You guys have seen this before" or "You guys should know how to do this from middle school." I didn't. I had no idea what I was doing when I got to high school and felt incredibly behind from all of my peers. The fact that the subject I felt the least prepared in was math coming from a self-proclaimed "STEM Academy" was beyond me. I know my limitations and math was not it. I had all A's in math while attending this school. One of the biggest things I NEVER learned in Algebra I at IC was mean/median/mode. I remember that everyone of my peers in that freshman year Honors Algebra I class already knew this from middle school.

My daughter has been a student here since 2015 and I am so proud to see the young lady she is becoming. My daughter is a happy student and succeeding academically. She is also in sports and other key clubs that the school offers. As a strong leader, our principal has brought forth many new programs to IC like STEM and empowerment classes for our kids. I know that our principal always acts in the best interest of our students and strives to continue to bring great success to Immaculate Conception School. Being part of the IC School family motivates me to be involved because I enjoy the IC community and all that it stands for. I am definitely a proud parent of IC. Lastly, I look forward to my little one starting TK in the fall. The TK/ K teachers a hard-working team who are experienced and provide an outstanding program.
