I hoping to have my son continue here but the classrooms are very desk-based with limited free movement for younger children. There was a clear focus on whether my son that is only 2 was a good fit for their daycare.

Not so good experience here, you have to wait two weeks or more to meet your child's main caregiver. While parts of the program are organized I felt uncomfortable being told I could not see my 2 yr old child during outdoor playtime. I hope the daycare works on improving parent trust. By 4th day I was told my 2 year old child was too hard for them to watch even though I only took him 2-3 hours daily.

This is a very nice and cool preschool. All the teachers are so nice and friendly. I'll definitely recommend this school to my friends!

In the beginning, our son (18-month old) had challenges being with a group of friends and Mr. Dave, Ms. Ranum, and teachers had so much patience and positive attitude working with my son to overcome it. They assisted with the potty train process which helped us so much. The school also handled Covid situation well, and we never had to worry about it. Our son enjoys his time here. He makes good friends and he loves all the teachers from three different age classes. This place makes our parenting life to have one less thing to worry about. I recommend this school to all our friends and families. We have signed up our second son to be here and we will suggest you to take a tour to see it yourself!

Our child began with major separation anxiety, but thanks to the teachers who stuck by her side, she began dancing and having fun in as little as four days and the crying at drop-off stopped after 2 weeks, at which point she began to run inside to be with her teachers and friends. The facility is very clean, safe, and built with growing kids in mind. They have a really good curriculum and great activities in each classroom. In the toddler class (ages 18-36mo & where our child was) they have a 6-to-1 child/teacher ratio. If I had to complain about one thing, it's that I wish we could get more photos/videos and updates throughout the day, but since I also don't want the teachers on cell-phones all day long, it's an okay trade off knowing that our kid will come home happy everyday and sometimes with cool art projects in hand! The staff also does a great job notifying us of any incidents (booboos, bites, runny noses) that need our immediate attention or knowledge. They have a good, effective covid policy in place too and if I'm not mistaken only one child tested positive for covid since the pandemic began, but the child stayed home and quarantined. The entire school/staff was then dismissed to get tested and the results were all negative. To protect everyone, they check everyone's temps upon arrival and they won't hesitate to send children home for high temps or any covid-like symptoms. I would highly recommend anyone to come here, especially if it's their child's first school. They do a wonderful job.

Throughout every stage, she grew academically, socially, and emotionally thanks to the incredible teachers and structured curriculum. Although she missed the first‑grade cutoff by 4 days, her new public school offered an assessment -- and because of the exceptional teaching and learning at AIP, she passed the assessment and was approved to move up to first grade. As a parent, I felt genuinely sad when it was time to leave AIP. I truly wish they had an elementary program because the teachers and curriculum are exceptional. We absolutely love all the teachers there -- every single one played a meaningful role in my daughter's growth. We always felt she was in a safe, caring, and inspiring environment. The good news is that our younger daughter will be turning 2 next year, and she'll be joining the AIP family too. Highly recommend!!!

Their process is also excellent: over the three years we were there, every question and request we had was well tracked and answered, and there was never a surprise. Our child has since graduated and moved on to elementary school, but still talks about and misses the teachers all the time -- that says everything about how loved and cared for they felt there. We're truly grateful for everything they did. Highly recommend!

Ms. Tarita is her current teacher who has taught her all of these amazing things. They do crafts often and she comes home with magnets all the time. Our door is filled and we love it! They have a photo platform where we get picture updates of events which is so nice. My daughter often eats seconds that's how delicious the meals are. They have routines and kids thrive off routine. From the toddler class, the teachers helped my younger child successfully potty train, learn good manners, participate in circle time, and play well with others. We thought we knew what to expect from preschool, having already sent our older son through one…read morewhen we lived in a different city, but Creative Child Preschool in Temple City still managed to pleasantly surprise us. I hope this review helps other parents new to the area see what a gem this school has been for busy parents like ourselves. First is the schedule. Drop-off starts earlier than most other schools in the area, and pick-up is any time before 6pm. This translate to tangible flexibility for two working parents. We'd heard about, and experienced, other preschools with shorter hours that even take weeks off for spring and winter break like the public school calendar. Believe me when I say I'm eternally grateful we never had to manage those schedule gaps with Creative Child. Next is the physical space. The school itself feels like a home, each room beautifully decorated and cozy. The school yard is huge, with swings, slides, and a sandbox. Whenever we visit, my daughter is running and jumping through the yard with her friends like it's her own personal jungle gym. There are also add-ons we could opt into throughout the week. My daughter looked forward to Tuesday tap dancing every single week, along with Mandarin and My Gym classes. These are activities right on campus during school hours. Outside of school hours, we even got to invite her grandparents to her tap recital, and it turned into such a great family bonding moment. Creative Child doesn't feel like just a place to drop off your kid. I appreciate how intentional they are about pulling parents into the experience all year long. I did a mechanical bull ride with my daughter on Father's Day. We built gingerbread houses together during the holidays. The summer calendar get even better with magician, petting zoo, splash days, and more! The teachers are superstars here. The school is intimate enough that the teachers are familiar to all the kids, even if they're not the primary instructor for their class. So as my daughter moved up each year, she was never meeting anyone brand new, just a familiar face she hadn't had as her main teacher yet. Ms. Denise, Ms. Annie, Mr. Viet, Ms. Sharon, Ms. Susan, Ms. Jessica and Ms. Giselle all became familiar to her over the years, and I think that consistency built so much of her confidence. My daughter had trouble pronouncing her "s" sounds early on, enough that we got a professional consult just to be safe. Once she started in the Imagineer class with Ms. Denise, her speech noticeably improved week after week. I felt like she's already performing at a kindergarten level even though she's not even at that age yet. And the food deserves a mention. Ms. Rosie runs the kitchen, and she's a magician. My daughter won't touch oatmeal at home, but somehow cleans her bowl at school. We joke that we need to steal the recipes from Ms. Rosie someday, because the quality of meals in the public school system isn't even close in comparison. Lastly, getting to know the other families in our cohort made it clear we'd landed somewhere special. So many families here are rooted in the local community, and I learned so much just from talking to other parents, tips on neighborhood activities, what to expect once public school starts, from families with older siblings already there. Those are the invisible benefits nobody tells you when searching for a preschool. We definitely got more out of the school than what we paid for. Creative Child gave us the school part and the community part, and we're genuinely going to miss it when she finally graduates and enter the public school system. Creative Child Arcadia simply exceeded our expectations in every way!

For years, I have both looked forward to and dreaded the idea of writing this review. I'm happy…read morebecause I finally get to write about our five amazing years here, but sad because I know it means the end of our time with Creative Child. I have sent both my kids here, and I love this school so much that I even chose to keep my daughter for her final year as an "Imagineer" instead of placing her in our free elementary school's TK program (of which I was not the only one!). Every positive thing that previous reviewers have mentioned is 100% accurate, so I won't repeat those. What I really want to talk about is the trust I felt the moment I first walked into this preschool and how that trust remained until our very last week here. It was during the reopening period of COVID, and we were already enrolled at another preschool that I didn't really like. I had also missed the rush to enroll my son, so all the other schools were full. I toured 5-6 schools throughout the SGV, but none of them ever felt quite right. That all changed when I toured CCP. The moment I met Ms Denise, it clicked. The school, the teachers, the classrooms, it all felt like a place where I needed to get my son enrolled. Of course, they were full too, but by sheer luck, an opening became available a few months later, and I jumped at the chance and I have been grateful ever since. I also have to mention that I am probably one of the pickiest parents you will ever meet when it comes to my kids. One of my biggest concerns, especially with my son, has always been eating, particularly because of his food allergies. He has always been a picky eater, and usually took forever to eat a small amount. But at Creative Child, that was not the case. I actually witnessed it first hand at a parent lunch event when I saw my son not only eat EVERYTHING on his plate, but finish before almost everyone else and then cleaned up after himself. Up until that moment, I honestly assumed the teachers just told us the kids ate everything to make us parents feel better, lol. The school's communication is also top tier. They ALWAYS keep you in the loop about what's happening at school and with your child. I knew my kids were being cared for, encouraged, and looked after, and I trusted the teachers completely. That peace of mind is hard to find these days. Not only have my kids made amazing friendships here, but so have we as parents! Because of this school, I have made incredible friends with other families, and to this day, our kids and families still hang out. You truly feel like family when you are part of this school. I trust every single teacher with my children and hold each one of them in the highest regard. I have always told other parents that preschool is invaluable to a child's development because of the skills and confidence they build at such an early age. I have seen the proof firsthand. I watched my shy little kids go from standing like statues on stage during their first Christmas recital to singing their hearts out and confidently performing choreographed dance moves by the time they graduate. Every child I have seen leave this school comes out as a confident kid, ready to take on public school. Creative Child has given our family so much more than just a preschool. It has given my children confidence, friendships, wonderful memories, and a strong foundation for the next chapter of their lives. Thank you, Ms Denise, Ms Sharon, Ms Susan, Mr Viet, Ms Annie, Ms Rosie, Ms Giselle, and Ms Jessica, for five incredible years. We will miss you more than you know!

Not only do they continue to help our daughter grow and give her the personalized attention she needs in class, on the playground, in daycare. But they have gone to the whole way to the mat for her to advocate for the essential services she will need to continue to learn and grow. Our daughter may well be stronger and even safer years after she graduates from AMS because of their limitless advocating for her. Separately, our daughter is now communicating at what an independent assessment has said is a level 1.5 years above her age group. And she's an increasingly confident and determined little person. Someplace else, she might be reciting more things by rote or I don't even know what skill someone might need a toddler to have. Instead, she can and will tackle anything. It just doesn't occur to her there's something she can't do. They are an enormous part of that. And just great partners in all aspects. I'm a better mom because I know them. Arcadia Montessori school is not just a school of magnificently talented, dedicated and kind people. They *love* their students. They advocate for and protect kids way beyond what one could reasonably expect from anyone other than immediate family. They just bring tears to my eyes - more than I'd like to admit! And just yesterday when I went to pick up our daughter who otherwise has deep separation anxiety said - mama, can you come back a little later?

Both kids started at AMS around the age of 2.5, after they were potty trained. Both absolutely thrived in this environment and saw incredible development milestones throughout their time at AMS. The teachers and administration at this school are simply incredible. Each teacher and administrator showed an incredible amount of genuine attention and affection for our children. As children move through the school, through the different classes across age ranges, and through their development, each teacher has age-appropriate and individual child specific support for the little ones. We unfortunately started at this school during Covid so we had limited access and engagement early on. However, as things reopened, we had an ability to come to the school for events, come make independent visits, and engage more in the day-to-day activities of our kids. Under the leadership of Mrs. Cheryl Roberts, our children were provided with an incredibly supportive environment to learn, grow, and to most importantly be kids. Our children showed incredible development throughout their time at AMS. I can confidently say that their reading, speech, math, and life skills developed significantly because of the attention and help of the teachers and administration of the school.
