Unfortunately, the company's prior relationship with the current tenants, I have been forced to ask on multiple occasions if the tenants paid rent. They were habitually late and only paid after I contacted Mr. Falls and he followed up. This month, they have not paid rent at all and per Nevada law the eviction notice should have been posted after seven days; it was not posted until the 12th. After I contacted Mr. Falls after receiving my owner's statement indicating no payment this month, he responded via email on March 13th that he "hoped" to have an update. In March 15th, I inquired as to the status. No response. This morning, I sent another email. No response. Since the company did not set in motion its contractual duties until March 12th, in the current climate the eviction may be suspended. I would steer clear of this company. Update today 3/18: Mr. Fells contacted me today via email. In essence, although Nevada law permits the commencement after 7 days, per Mr. Fells Mynd is a larger company and policies have changed. "... [W]e are not able to start eviction on the 6th of the month we send evictions to the process server on the 10th and the notices are posted shortly after." Again, my understanding of Nevada law is that the eviction process can begin 7 days after the tenant receives notice. In response, Mynd's policy extends this time period. Again, per Mr. Fells "I have no way of knowing if the car accident was true or not as proof of the accident would not interfere with the eviction (the most recent excuse for the nonpayment). With the notice . . . . .the lockout order cannot be requested until the 24th of March." This apparent unilateral extension to the time permitted by state law, seriously disadvantages the property owner especially in the current uncertain enviornment.

There should be a good faith effort to make things fair for all renters. The unfairness of what happened to us was very disappointing -- renter beware. The timeline is as follows: the reservation was booked on January 31 and my son cancelled on February 21 -- not March 12 as stated. The stay is still several months away. We contacted Airbnb and they are currently reaching out to the host to review the situation. Unfortunately, my son was also blocked from contacting the host after the cancellation, which made it difficult to discuss any possible solutions directly. Our intention in leaving a review was simply to share our experience so others are aware of the cancellation policy before booking. The host also claimed that I threatened to write a review, which is not true -- I only wanted to let people know about the unfairness of this business practice.

The part that stands out about Chris is how clear and easy everything was. From check in to check out, every time my family asked me a question, I didn't have to message him or call him, I just looked in the binder that he left for us or I just checked my booking and all answers were there! A day after we left, we realized that we left something behind. I messaged Chris, and the professionalism of how he addressed this situation was phenomenal! My exact words after my experience with TAP were "I don't know how to give more than a 5 star review!" They were responsive if we had any issues and were an overall pleasure to rent from. I lived in about 4 different houses up there and definitely dealt with some shady slum lord types, so it was very refreshing to rent from a kind, professional group like Hauserman. I visit Tahoe often since i moved back to southern CA and Hauserman are the first rental group i look to when i am booking a place. I also appreciate their emails notifying me of deals. Their staff is kind and helpful and i have had nothing but good experiences with the locations i have rented. I hate to see the negative feedback on some of the other reviews, but as a former Tahoe local, i am not surprised by some of the complaints and exaggerated comments. Tahoe has an economy that relies heavily on tourism and most people are very respectful of the locals, the housing, and the environment, but sadly there are always a few that are not. As renters and visitors to such a beautiful and fragile place, it saddens me to see people letting their dogs poop on people's carpets or complain about rules and cleaning fees (which i know are clearly stated from my experience with Hauserman). These are often the people who do the same outside in the forest and at the lake and lack respect for surrounding people and areas just because they happen to be on vacation. As a child, we rented out our vacation home in Tahoe City and I remember guests damaging things like board games or decor (and luckily not anything more severe like doors or carpet). Guests need to remember that they although they are paying for an experience, they are staying in people's homes and in one of the most beautiful environments on earth and hopefully they can be respectful of that.

Here are the facts of what happened to me when I tried to rent a house from Hauserman: ⁃I found a rental property that was suitable for my group, filled out the booking form, signed the rental agreement, and paid the initial payment. ⁃Weeks later, I got an email that said my rental had been canceled, with no indication as to why. ⁃I had to call them and ask what happened. They stated that the owner had decided they wanted to stay there that weekend, so they simply canceled my stay, despite the signed rental agreement. ⁃They were unhelpful in finding an alternative location, offering only another one of their properties that had less bedrooms and a worse location. ⁃I tried to work with them and asked to be transferred to other properties in their portfolio that were suitable for our group and more equivalent to our original rental, but they refused to allow us to transfer to one of those unless I paid the difference, despite Hauserman being the one that canceled our original rental. Just be aware that Hauserman can and will cancel your rental at any point and then basically tell you to pound sand.

Look at their unrecommended reviews. They create fake profiles for fake 5 star reviews which were reported and removed and they lie to try to delete negative ones. They are so desperate to censor negative reviews because their entire customer base is Bay Area people no one here will work with them. I PAID their commission and I SIGNED their agreements. That constitutes working together in CONTRACT LAW. That they represented a buyer has nothing to do with the fact that we worked together. They also have not responded once to the emails on their agent Matt Smith breaching the realtor code of conduct, being unethical and directly lying. Article 1 of their realtor code of conduct is to be HONEST with all parties, whether representing a buyer or seller. They also don't know that censoring honest reviews is actually illegal and enforceable with the FTC. They were paid on the sale of MY home because I accepted their offer and I want to share my story so you don't make the same mistake. 24 hours after acceptance we were advised to delay our sale due to an unforseen 84k tax liability. We learned fast they didn't care about a win win, our family, their clients, only when they would be paid. True character is shown during times of trial. I wouldn't wish these liars on my worst enemy. They involved their lawyer immediately (see attached email) to threaten us to keep a bad deal going! They made negative statements about our financial situation with others copied, lied in legal documentation and gave us no notice that their clients couldn't close after we were forced to move with an infant in four days. Their behavior cost their clients tens of thousands of dollars in penalties because they couldn't close on time. They also used unethical tactics to try to get information from my contractors and lawyer, who told me everything. It was awesome after forcing us through a bad contract they had to turn around and plead for goodwill and flexibility (see attached letter) their clients had to pay us $10k to keep the deal going because they broke the contract. That's the ONLY reason this escrow closed. Instant legal karma my lawyer called it. Look, they are STILL lying in their response and no response to the actual facts and I've posted emails and documentation of all my account. Do business with good honest people. Team Blair really are dishonest, unethical, exploitative, selfish - despicable in the current times. Don't worry Team Blair, I won't be bullied or censored by a group like you. People should know how you do business. Beware Tahoe!

Negative stars. WARNING!!! Lied about liens on the house…read morethey were selling. We were 4 days from closing and she finally disclosed the EXTREME liens that were on the property. My family (including 2 young boys 4 and 6) are now displaced. Half of our stuff left our home in Oregon to go to the home when we found out about all of the liens. Not to mention she lied to our broker and said WE couldn't perform on the deal. We are houseless, stuff in storage until we find another home, living with family and the house we were supposed to move into sits empty, and was just re-listed for $150k MORE so she can cover the liens. I don't want any other person, family or business to ever have to go through what we went through. No property/home is worth the stress, tears and extreme emotional pain that this company has caused my family.
