It was also very conveniently located, and we were easily able to drive everywhere we wanted to go in Tahoe. We loved that the property was pet-friendly and we brought our two small dogs with us. This place was awesome! Beautiful cabin in a great quiet location. The kitchen was well stocked for a rental and had more kitchen gadgets and pans than I've experienced elsewhere. They even have a basket of toys for dogs along with water and food bowls. The stairs leading up to the cabin a pretty steep. I don't think my 75 year old parents could manage them if they came with us. Would definitely stay here again. read more

A week in Truckee-Donner and it was tough to go home. Beautiful home with a wrap-around deck--perfect for sunrise coffee and sunset whiskey. This home is CLEAN and tastefully/artfully decorated. The most inviting Airbnb I've experienced in years. The neighborhood is quiet and sans traffic. Close to great coffee, breweries, gyms, the river, the PCT, and of course lakes for SUPing. I love a good kitchen, and it was a joy to cook here...kitchen stocked with all the things. Lost power twice and the property manager (Holly) was on it with details and an update from the utility district. A tiny inconvenience that lasted under 30 minutes! This place has all the mountain cabin feels and I can't wait to visit again. read more

Great as usual. This is my second time at this particular property and I absolutely did not want to leave. I reserved months ago and needed a payment method change prior to the balance being charged. Staff at Tahoe Mountain Properties was easy to deal with and get ahold of to get that issue resolved. I did have a question during my stay this time, and got a prompt and helpful response. The house was gorgeous. The view was spectacular. The kitchen was well stocked had every cooking pan and dishes we needed to make lots of food and grill. Something that shocked me was when I got there I realized there was no air conditioning. The house had many fans though. One for each room but 1 was broken. Since there was no ac we needed to open windows but there weren't screens in them so we had a lot of bugs and had to close them at night, making it difficult to stay cool. Though we didn't have those things the view made up for it. Hopefully those will be fixed for the guests in the future. read more

Had a horrible experience renting from Tahoe Mountain Properties the winter of 2018-2019. As an owner of 2 rental properties, I've dealt with a number of property management firms, and the good ones are able to balance the interests of both the tenants and the owners. After concluding our lease and leaving the house in excellent condition, we requested a return of our security deposit and the owner refused, until we took him to court!! His dispute had nothing to do with any damage to the property (we kept in in excellent condition and even split the cost of a new hot tub with the owner at the start of the lease), but rather with the number of guests we invited to stay the rental. During the lease the owner visited the property (while we were occupying it) and gave no negative feedback. I interacted with the owner several times during the lease both in person and on the phone and he didn't voice any concerns about our tenancy. Maybe the guy was in a bad financial position / is litigious and he saw our group as an opportunity - but the shocking part was that Holly from Tahoe Mountain Properties blindly supported the owners position based on the owners word, without any evidence. She also sent us an unnecessary inflammatory email, which was I can only assume was to try to look good to the owner. Rather than serving as an arbitrator, she made it 100% clear that she was biased to the owners position and interested only in protecting his interests, rather than respecting the interests of both of her clients - tenant and owner. Was a very strange experience, and as a rental property owner I would steer towards other PM firms that treat tenants (who are all going to own rental houses in her market + have many friends that also own with more respect). read more

Home on the lake was great, after staying on the busy south side of Lake Tahoe, we ended our trip on the North hoping to experience a relaxing, peaceful restful place to recover from long hikes and kayaking. It was all that and more. Home was clean, and accommodated everything you would need from a home away from home. Property manager Holly and her husband were great host and responded quickly to our needs. Waking up on the quiet lake side with a morning cup of coffee was exactly the way we needed to end our trip. We had such a fantastic stay at the Tahome Lodge. The property and surroundings were beautiful, the home was lovely and very well appointed with everything we needed for a family of 5, including young kids. (And I mean everything--including a great kitchen for cooking, hampers for laundry, linens for a toddler bed, baby monitor, and fun toys, not to mention a TV with access to Disney+ and other kid friendly amenities!) This was on top of the beautifully decorated home itself, which we enjoyed spending time in together as a family. Our stay coincided with a lot of severe weather and we had tons of support and communication from the owners. The plows kept the roads and driveway clear, and we were able to take advantage of everything the Tahoe region offers! Finally, we left a piece of luggage behind (whoops) and Tahoe Mountain Properties was very helpful and prompt in getting it back. In short, this was one of the best rental experiences we've ever had. I have stayed at the Creekside Cabin twice and the check in/out process is clear and smooth. The cabin itself is beautiful inside and out. I especially love the full kitchen and cozy living room.
