We had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Brita , who has been handling the care of our babygirl and I am happy with both our doctor visits . She was so kind and gentle with our daughter . I have gone to the deer valley location several times for more emergent situations, in each instance I waited with an appointment for around an hour to be seen. The doctors are kind and professional, I feel safe with my child there, but it's very frustrating to have your entire day derailed for a 15 minute appointment that takes almost 2 hours. read more

My 2 kids (ages 3 and 1) have been going here and will continue to do so. Providers are great, haven't had issues with front staff. It was great til they changed their vaccine policy. Now new patients will be required to follow cdc schedule. I think it's minimum one vaccine required per wellness visit if I'm not mistaken. If I do have 3rd baby, we'll be going somewhere else unfortunately. read more

Highly recommend Agave Pediatrics. I have been bringing in both of my daughters since they were born. Diane has been our main provider and we truly adore her , she is very knowledgeable has great bedside manners. However , the rest of the providers are also great and know my kids are in great care if we're unable to get in with Diane. The front desk receptionist are always very friendly , never have to wait long to be seen. The office is very clean and all the MA's are very friendly. Two stars just because of Dr.Lombard. Other then that, this place is a nightmare. I ended up switching to another office last year thankfully. Last year I needed to get a referral for Speech and OT for my then 3 year who was developmentally and still developmentally behind. When I called for an appointment at the beginning of June, they told me they couldn't see my Son who was an established Patient till the end of July as they have stupid summer hours where they are closed on Fridays. I called another office and was able to get him the following day. Yeah they have a sick waiting side and a well-waiting side and the only thing that separated the sides are some huge animals in the middle meaning if another kid is coughing/vomiting/sneezing, particles can still contaminate the air and get to the other side. Other Pediatrics have a whole separate room for those patients. I wouldn't let my son touch anything or even sit in the chairs for that reason. Another issue that is a bit controversial and another reason we decided not to continue coming here is the fact that they accept those who don't vaccinate their kids or on a super lax vaccination schedule. Hell the MA looked shocked when I asked about his vaccinations for his visit and she even told me most patient's in the office are not vaccinated and it has been confirmed by the office themselves that they continue to treat non-vaccinated children. If you don't vaccinate your kids this is the perfect place for you. If your child is unable to get vaccinations due to non anti-vax reasons, you should just find another office to take your child to so you can avoid exposing your child to something that can hurt them especially the way they have the sick/well child waiting area. read more

We came here to get my little guy's lip and tongue ties released (tongue first, then lip two weeks later) when we was 3.5 months old. I must say, the entire process was so smooth from start to finish! The preparation emails/videos, the procedures, and being hand held through stretches, wound care, etc. made it very easy on the parents. I definitely was a little emotional about my baby boy having this procedure but it was worth it and necessary. As a result, he had improved eating, sleeping, and overall happiness. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was being questioned about (more like guilted) as to why I stopped breastfeeding. I was asked why I didn't seek a lactation consultant prior to stopping / the tongue tie appointment, however, our little guy has a dairy allergy and my milk was making him very sick. As I tried to explain all that we've been through, Dr. Agarwal didn't want to hear it and kept saying "it's too late now". This made me feel pretty awful, actually, as I've been through so much as a mama to make our little guy feel better. Of course I wanted him to have my milk for as long as possible, but it wasn't in the cards for us, and most certainly was not related to his tongue tie. I am very aware that tongue ties cause feeding issues (because we had those, too), but there was way more to our story than Dr. Agarwal cared to hear about. This was a bummer! I am a BIG believer that fed is best, and the fact that I walked away from his appointment feeling guilty and sad (when I absolutely should not have been!) didn't sit well with me. That said, if your baby does need a tongue and/or lip tie release, I highly recommend Agave Pediatrics and Dr. Agarwal for the laser procedure. They are very professional and conservative when it comes to treating your baby properly. There are other providers in the Valley who do the procedure but they are not medical doctors, which was important to us. read more

I've been going to this place since my son was born and have always been happy with the doctors and staff, but I won't be going back. I'm beyond upset about what happened today at my three-year-old son's appointment. I've never written a review before, but I felt I had to warn other moms because of the awful experience my son went through. We went in because we suspected he had strep throat. At first, a thin Hispanic woman (I don't remember her name) who was training, swabbed his throat really gently, maybe two or three times. The test came back negative. Then the doctor, Alexandra, came in, checked his throat, and said it did look like strep, so she ordered another swab for a culture test. My son didn't like the first swab, so the thin Hispanic lady and I had to hold him down. While we were holding him, a heavier-set Hispanic lady swabbed his throat super roughly, going back and forth probably six to eight times. You could see the frustration on her face because my son wasn't cooperating. I get it--kids can be tough--but if you can't handle it, don't work with them. When we got to the car, I checked his throat, and it was swollen and you could see the difference between the first swabbing and the VICIOUS swabbing the angry assistant did as it was beat red. I am an understanding and empathetic person by nature. Yes, I'm his mom so I understand that could be perceived as biased or protective. I assure you this is not the case and it is heartbreaking for me to have to take this much of my time to make sure mothers like myself, who take the time to read reviews like this, bypass a facility that allows staff to act the way this unsavory character did. read more

Now, my review is solely based on my experience for a consultation for a tongue and lip tie. We do not come here for the pediatricians. Upon the consultation, they needed to gather their information and weigh my son. The gentleman that was helping us then stated that my son needed to be completely naked. Without thinking about it, I just removed his clothes. He then tells me that he also needs to diaper to be off. At that moment, I felt super uncomfortable. Our pediatrician office never has us remove his diaper unless it had to do with his circumcision. I do not know this guy, and I do not want my son completely naked in front of someone who is not his Dr. He is 14 months old and a Diaper would not necessarily alter his current weight. As an adult, I never go to the Drs, and they have me completely naked in the scale. read more

STEER CLEAR OF THIS FACILITY! THIS IS YOUR TYPICAL "CHILD ABUSE PEDIATRICIAN"! We chose to use the local pediatricians office instead of our normal one in scottsdale. First time visit on Tuesday, never seen Dr. Jones before. This was literally a 15-20 min wellness check. The doctor noticed a small, pencil size, mark on my son's ear (later discovered to be from his ninja turtles helmet) during her examination. No biggie right? He's a 4 year old, rambunctious, adventurous, and curious little guy. The nurse comes in and gives him his shots and we go home. Jump to Thursday, 48 hours later.....I have a child protective services officer and 3 police officers at my door. They proceed to tell me they are here to investigate child abuse.....are you kidding me?! My TWO children are now exposed to the system! THEY spent more time talking to the police and the case worker, that this DR. Jones spent with my SON. Again parents...AVOID THIS FACILITY AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT EXPOSE YOUR FAMILY TO THE SYSTEM! Because of the FALSE and MALICIOUS accusations, myself and my wife have been added to a CHILD ABUSE REGISTRY! This can and may affect employment, school events, and who knows what else! read more

My experience was from last year but I had an absolute horrible experience with them when I brought my brand new daughter in to meet with the IBCLC. The lady we met with was rude, condescending, and didn't listen to any of my concerns. My daughter was having major latching issues and she didn't once bring up the possibility of a tongue tie and instead put all blame on me for introducing a bottle even though my daughter wasn't nursing at all. She told me that I had to be willing to stop my older children from playing sports or doing activities if I was "committed" enough. She told me I need to spend a month in my room focusing on baby and trying to breastfeed and when I told her it wasn't that simple as I had 3 other children to take care of and she pretty much told me that I wouldn't be able to breastfeed because I was committed enough. There were quite a few rude comments she made that I am still shocked about. I left with paper work about how to increase my supply even though I was a major over supplier and was pumping 80 oz a day. I saw another IBCLC the next week from a different company who was absolutely amazing and helped me and my daughter breastfeed and she's now a year old and the biggest boobie monster who loves nursing. read more

The staff were so rude especially the staff at the front and honestly i only met 2 nice people there after talking to over at least 7.
