The price gouging done by this shop during the first set of Lorcana release was ridiculous. I'd say spend your money elsewhere. Other shops were marking up, but not to the degree of this shop. Took me a while to write this review because I didn't recall the name.

Awesome card store with periodic Street Fighter tournaments. Atmosphere is VERY friendly and the employees love what they do.

I tried to go an hour after they were supposed to be open, but the door was locked. I was about to drive away until I decided to give them a call. A lady picked up and said she'd be there in 5 minutes. I read the other reviews and they were right: this lady was so nice. I didn't feel pressured or anything. She was straight up a very lovely person. BUT THE PLACE WAS SO MESSY LOL. To be fair, I walked in about 2 minutes after they unlocked the doors and the lights were still off, so maybe they haven't had time to set up anything yet. But the place looked like the inside of a shed but with collectibles and cards LOL either way, despite that, I like this place and WILL come back! I came here looking for pokemon cards. No slabs. Booster packs, yes. Singles, yes. ETBs, yes.

Prices have remained as reasonable as possible. (All the shops have gone up, but some have gotten very unreasonable). I've always had great service here too. This shop isn't for everyone - I get that. But in a world of scalping, condescending comments, and blatant disinterest; it's refreshing to have a place like this that allows me to continue my hobby without feeling violated by pricing or employees.

So, not much is below $5 or rather "the good stuff" you think is $5 or lower like the Lego Sets are often priced at FMV fair market value ranges of $15-25. But that's more of a common sense sign of the times, so I can't walk into "Five Below" believing everything is $5 and under and am okay with that, I just need to check the prices before committing to a purchase. The check - out is self-service so they run a lean small staff. Parking is easy. Overall, it's better than Dollar Tree, on par with Daiso, and looks sort of like what the $0.99 Only Stores looked like before they closed up, with a greater assortment of higher priced items than lower priced items, but still a lot of novelties that were cheap (although sometimes cheap in quality and price in the "you get what you pay for" caliber goods). It's a good place to take kids 12 and under for an affordable impulse buy gift/treat with a great, generous perception by a child and a fun experience for all.

Review #923 2025-101…read more Located Peninsula Shopping Center, Five Below is a specialty discount gift shop chain that prices most of its products between $1.00 - $5.00, with some exceptional finds $5+. My son goes to Cantonese school across the street, & one of the moms mentioned there's a cute graphic tee that's perfect for our growing Chinese momentum: You're All That & Dim Sum! The tees section was quite large with lots to choose from. I got the dim sum tee for my 8 YO son, & also saw another tee (Born To Game Forced To Work... LMAO) that perfectly describes his latest transgression from studying, though there's not much to study or homework for that matter in elementary school. There's also toys & games, beauty products, candies & snacks, books, etc. They're similar to other discount stores like Dollar Tree & Daiso, but on the higher price tier with more variety & trend-focused products for the younger set. Customer service is efficient & friendly. I only waited a few minutes with a handful of people ahead of me. Parking is plentiful in the shopping center based on its location & doesn't compete much for spaces with the anchor stores or restaurants. Five Below is a great alternative for the bargain shopper! And now that the holidays are here... check 'em out for gift giving ideas.

The atmosphere was exciting and nostalgic, especially for collectors and anime fans. The store was clean, organized, and easy to browse. Some of the most popular items that I found here included Dragon Ball, Pokémon, and Sanrio just to name a few. There were also miniature food keychains and cute animal figures. You have to be careful here as once you start a collection it can be pricey to complete your collection as you don't know what you will get with very token and capsule toy spin. Every machine had something unique and it was hard to leave with just one capsule. I ended up getting a Sanrio one and a Pokémon capsule toy. I am just disappointed in the pricing of these capsule toys. I understand that when I was in Japan I only paid at most $4 for a capsule toy but here, the range varies and can go up to $12. Yikes! Overall, service was good. Staff members were friendly and helpful when I had questions about the machines or needed assistance with tokens and exchanges.
