I want to be the very best, like no one ever was... to hoard all the games, is my real test... at a reasonable price is my cause... POKEMON! Got to catch them all! Ever since Pokemon Go, I've been reminiscing about my childhood days when I would try to conquer the Kanto and Johto regions. Unfortunately, so was the rest of the world and because of that, the old Pokemon games were either difficult to find or priced ridiculously. I've been going to retro stores and I've seen those games being sold for $40 to $60 a pop. Luckily, I was referred here by another video game collector so I had to check it out. When I came in, I was greeted by the owner, Tony. He is an awesome guy and he tells me this, pick what you want and I'll work with you. I had a bunch of old PS2 games that I wanted to trade in for credit and normally, most store would give you nothing in trade in but Tony is super fair with what he gives. Ultimately, I was able to work out a deal where I got pokemon sapphire, crystal (pretty expensive on 2nd markets), pokemon red, and final fantasy 7 (black label) for a few extra bucks. As I said before, he is really easy to work with. As for the collection, he has all kinds of retro games for reasonable online prices. Furthermore, everything is in good condition. He told me if the batteries don't work, that he will put in new ones for me. NES, SNES, Saturn, Dreamcast, N64, gamecube, he has them all. If he doesn't have it, he said he can call around and go look for it. Make sure you bring cash though, they are still working on a card machine. Overall, I walked out a super happy customer. I have had experiences with retro video game stores and most of them rip you off for both trade in and for purchase. Here, Tony gives you fair reasonable prices that are cheaper or about the same as online prices but you can rest assure the quality is top notch. The store is hella ass, crazy overpriced but they have a good selection of stuff, please do not trade your old consoles here and sell them on marketplace or eBay, fun to look at and can be good if you want to find out what exactly you want of course, and the service is fine, they are nice but a bit condescending. Good, honest, & fair when it comes to game systems. I took in a Xbox 360 system & got store credit which was cool. This place has tons of games for all the old school game systems & new ones too. What a wonderful small store. While this store can feel pretty cramped and have some pricy tags on its toys, it's supply and service are amazing. Tony is a great man, just made a deal with him for some store credit out of a busted up ps4 and some games and came out with more than I had came in for without having to need to spend a cent. This place is awesome. I had purchased an Xbox 1 s here. I looked all over and he had one. He was able to hold it for me. Which was very generous of him. My kids even loved the action figure he had. Awesome video game store THAT ISNT a gamestop. I found this place by accident because there was some artshow going on in the middle of Avalon blvd. I spent more time in there than i did for each art both during the art show. Anyways, this place is a hidden gem in Wilmington. They offer an array of video games, new and old, and I was slapped with nostalgia with awesome n64 and GameCube games that they sold. Hell, i even left with a copy of Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. To be honest, I was one of those people. Yes, the one who was looking to come here to do business; but also at the same time happened to be on the phone with a good friend I haven't talked to in ages. The owner Tony was extremely welcoming and very professional. I felt like such a douche for being on the phone while trying to buy something( which I think is somewhat rude in specific situations). Nonetheless, Tony was super accommodating. No dirty looks, annoyed body language or judgmental vibes whatsoever..he even lowered his voice to interact with me briefly! I knew what I wanted; all was needed to communicate was what I wanted and pay. And I did: $15 for NFS Hot Pursuit on GameCube. In literally like new condition, original case, manual, etc. Worked flawless...People were selling the disk only for $11 online in 'acceptable' condition. No thanks! The best prices and the owner is very knowledgable and friendly. You can test out any game. They have original replacement chords. They have every game you can possibly want. And if it's not in the store, the owner will find it for you. No matter where I am I always look for "vintage" video game shops, and this is by far the best I have ever been to. Plus with Amazon.com also being in this space on-line, it really squeezes competitors and suppliers alike. It's been a while since I last visited, with my annual membership expiring earlier this year. It no longer makes sense for me to have it, with the infrequent purchases (mainly because it takes me a really long time to finish a game), and the discounts being minimal. The store is still arranged similarly to what I remember: sections for Playstation, XBox, and Nintendo. The new and used games were kinda mixed together, but ordered alphabetically. And pricing was definitely based to match Amazon...any sale items were the same price on Amazon. I appreciated saving a little money on the one used game that I found that I was interested in (AC-Shadows set in feudal Japan). We tried the Oculus rift and also the HTC vive and both were awesome! Plenty of games to choose from and you will be paired with a tech dude to guide you through the maze of cables and also to help navigate the controls especially for beginners. The place was spacious enough to really enjoy the games and that really helps coz having the VR headsets on can make you feel dizzy after a period of time. So the space and ventilation is really a huge plus. Great for gamers and also great for private parties too!

I brought in around 30 games I wanted to sell and he quickly went through them all while making conversation. He made me feel very welcome and always had a smile on his face. I also asked him a few questions regarding where I can sell my JP games and he gave me a bunch of different stores around the area that he knew would accept them! Thank you! I came by another time after work with just the intention to say hello and look at the new switch games. It was 5 minutes before closing and I saw that they were taking preorders for Pokemon US/UM so I asked if I should come by another time because I knew they had to close the store soon. James insisted it was fine and let us stay way past their closing time (Sorry!!). I came by again the other day in order to preorder Splatoon and a different sales associate rung me up. It was a completely different experience and I didn't feel as welcome. It just seemed like he was trying to get rid of me when I wasn't even there for more than 10 minutes. When he handed me my receipt he didn't say anything at all and turned around to continue talking with his coworker. :-(

writing to file a formal complaint regarding my experience at your Torrance store location today…read more I originally visited the Long Beach store on 4th St. looking for Resident Evil Requiem Deluxe Edition. The staff there informed me they were out of stock but confirmed that the Torrance location had 5 copies available. Based on this information, I drove 20 minutes to the Torrance store. Upon arrival, I spoke with a gentleman named John. When I asked for the game, he told me they did not have it. When I explained that the Long Beach store had specifically seen 5 copies in their system, he dismissively told me they didn't have any. He was very rude throughout the interaction. I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and the conflicting information provided between stores. I hope you will look into this matter. Regards,

Only retro/toy store I've ever seen. Place is very unique, the owner is awesome and very knowledgeable. All the systems and games look pristine! I was shocked when I walked into the store, every game/system looked brand new. This is for sure the best place to go if you're looking for action figures and retro games/consoles. read more
