Then, when they show up, they will say you need a new machine and charge you $$$ for the new machine and the installation. They didn't install it right the first time, so they came. 2nd time, after 2 days with no AC, they added more freon than they were supposed to add correctly the first time. Then they came the 3rd time because there wasn't enough freon from the first and second time they came. Then they charged me $300 for 3lb of Freon. Now my heat isn't working, I ask them to come fix their work. They don't want to take responsibility for it.

The guys who installed the system were right on time, very friendly and were done when they said they'd be. They even swept up the dust in my house after putting a seal around the vents. Bart came back the next day to check on the system and to set up surge protectors on the equipment. The price was well under my other quotes and I really appreciated the "paid in full discount" they offered. I'm going to sign up for an annual service from the company as well. It is a hefty expense, but I'm happy with Ellis Air and I'm glad I decided to give my business to them.

I contacted Ellis Heating and Air in Killeen, TX in July 2025 to service my unit. The technician…read moreadded freon yet advised me there was a leak that he could not find, further advising that my unit was "cheap" and needed to be replaced. Feeling a bit insulted, we ignored his opinion and thanked the tech for his assistance. I called Ellis again September of 2025 because my unit again was not cooling. Ellis sent another technician, who advised again our unit was "cheap" and the compressor needed to be replaced, and we did not have a warranty. Ellis quoted $3200.00 to replace the compressor, or, $3600.00 for a new unit. We questioned this because we just purchased this home in 2022, so we researched our unit ourselves. We scanned the QR code on the back of our unit which immediately reflected a full warranty through 2031. I was able to contact the company who installed the unit. They immediately came out and confirmed the compressor had not failed but we had a clogged filter dryer. $150.00 later our "cheap" unit is working perfectly! CONSUMERS BEWARE!!!
