We recently had the misfortune to visit an orthodontist office here in the Harrisburg area and were sad to know that their patients were not getting excellent treatment in the kind of friendly and relaxed environment that WE are accustomed to. I usually don't like to mention names, but one office was (that begins with gh and ends with osh) was particularly rude. I checked Yelp & after reading the reviews for this office I knew I could call this office for help. Sure enough, when I called and began explaining our dilemma, the sweat young Lady who answered said "come on over," asking only our location - as they were closing at 5pm. We drove an hour (each way) out of our way and they GAVE us a package of bands and wouldn't take any money for them! Actions speak so much louder than words, don't they? If I am ever asked who I would trust in this area with my children's or my own orthodontic needs I know what I will tell them & why. I saw I could trust these Good People at Susquehanna Orthodontics. I mean really "most of us in the US, when we hear of a child needing help of any kind immediately do whatever we can to help"...& I'll be honest, it does boggle my mind that such a small thing was Too much for ANY adult to help with...believe in Karma? The receptionist was super friendly and patient. The entire office was spotless- something that puts your mind at ease when they're working in your mouth. I saw Dr. Robinson and he also was very patient and took care of the issue. Even later on in the day when I had some questions I forgot to ask, I called and they put me on the phone with the Dentist. All of them seem to take a lot of pride in their work and I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I believe in conservative dentistry which means not doing any procedures which are not absolutely necessary. I broke a portion of a tooth with a large filling which would easily qualify for a crown with a hefty $400 copayment. Dr Robinson decided an additional filling would be the best treatment. I avoided a crown which essentially destroys the tooth. As someone who has their share of large fillings and crowns, I highly recommend this office.

Which is excessive, especially given the service and location. This is Lewisburg, not Manhattan. Requiring over $250 upfront for a simple procedure is unreasonable, and there were no options for a payment plan or discount. They are clearly price-gouging customers. It seems profit is prioritized over patient care. The dental hygienist who scraped my teeth was a bit abrasive, and I was uncomfortable the entire time. I wish I had paid more attention to the negative reviews beforehand, as they accurately reflect what I experienced. I do NOT recommend this place at all!
