We just stopped there. The hours on the sign said open until 5:30. It was 4:55 pm. We were stopped at the door and was told they close at 5 o'clock. I said I thought you were open till 530. He said no we are only open till five now. I said oh so I guess we can't come in. And he said well, what do you want? I said we wanted a tasting. He said no we don't have time for that. Not happy at all! If you're not open until 530 then change the sign! I have pictures to prove it.

Love this winery! It's one of the better ones that we stopped at while on a wine tour in town. Warning: the wines are all dry, but I still encourage you to go in and try them! The staff were absolutely amazing, funny, and friendly. My sisters and I came in for a "masquerade ball" wine tasting tour and had a blast. The staff were entertained and tried to make us feel at home. I appreciate the staff's desire to help us. She asked about our wine preferences and guided us with which wines we would like best and she was right! The wines are pricey and I paid about $20 for a bottle of red wine. It was good and paired well with my spaghetti dinner! I encourage you to stop in, this winery won't disappoint!

My husband and I came to Ravines as part of our 5th anniversary trip. We made a reservation for a Thursday afternoon and were seated outside, which had a beautiful view of the lake. There were only a few other parties so we had good service and a relaxing experience. I chose the Bright Whites flight and my husband chose the Classics flight. The wine was some of the best we've had in the Finger Lakes, and our server was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He even let me try the Champagne and my husband the Cab Franc after we finished our tastings. Our favorite wines were the 2018 Chardonnay, Cab Franc, Ayre, and the Champagne. We bought 2 bottles of the Chardonnay.

Named one of the top 100 wineries in the world some of the best dry rieslings I've ever had hail from Ravines . Word to the wise ...make sure you make a reservation or you will likely be turned away . This location is not nearly as fabulous as the Geneva tasting room but , let's be honest , I'm here for the wine. The standout here for me was the Argetsinger Riesling which recently received 94 point rating and wow , it was delicious !

This is a pretty good place to stop by around Keuka Lake. The tasting room is a bit small compared to the other major wineries. The tasting has 5 tasting wines for $3. A really good deal! The pours were pretty heavy too compared to the other places we checked out. The wines that they have for the tasting are more towards the drier side; not a lot of semi-sweet options. You can bring your dog in! They also have this pretty good deal if you sign up to be a member. Free wine every quarter.

Downstairs tasting room is an awesome choice, we had a group that inhabited that area. I don't know how to gain access but it would be worth looking into. They have a nice outside deck to sit on. I'm not sure about accessibility cause the steps and pitch of the entrance were substantial. Maybe that's another use for the downstairs room.

Ravines makes some of our favorite wines in the Finger Lakes. We're lucky enough to have been able to try Ravines wines in both of their tasting rooms and had fabulous experiences each time. This tasting room has a beautiful sloping lake view that really takes your breath away in the fall as well as a beautiful vineyard view sloping up away from the lake. Just for the views alone, I would recommend Ravines. Seery took us through our tasting and he was generous, kind, and informative. For $5 you can sample 5 different wines that you can choose from an extensive list. While everything here is top notch, we ended up purchasing their Pinot Noir and 2016 estate Riesling. I'm wishing we purchasing a case at this point. Make sure to add Ravines to your Finger Lakes vineyard list- it never disappoints!!

One of the best on the lake. Be sure to try all the dry Reislings and even some reds are excellent.

Great experience. Wine was a little high price but good. Carolyn was entertaining. Highly recommend the chocolate pairing.

We visited with Friends to do a tasting but mostly to soak up the atmosphere and it was wonderful. The wines in my humble opinion were great to. But it was very interesting to learn about the locations of the plots and taste the difference in the grapes as well as learn that the winery still keeps up with it's Ukrainian Heritage notwithstanding the generalized Soviet attitude toward more intelligent and energetic members of its society. The person who was doing our tasting was very knowledgeable so we learned a lot. Tasted quite a bit bought some but enjoyed our experience immensely.

The wines poured are ok, and you can tell the grapes are not that ripe. Of course, no fault of the winery, it is a colder region after all. The sparkling traditional method wines were, so so, often lacking the yeasty-ness of Champagne you'd get. And we got to try their famed "Rkats" Georgian grape variety, which was funky and interesting. It tasted like a more refined version of Rakts varietal wines you can get from Georgia. My biggest gripe was the service. With two servers, the service was so that they would pour a wine for you, with an introduction, and go to the next person. Of course, if there is some sidetalk or chit chat, the people in between your next pour, could take a _long_ time. And unfortunately for us that meant a lot of waiting, empty waters, boring time, waiting, etc. It would have been more enjoyable if more wines were poured at once, so there was less waiting. Other than that, the staff are generally knowledgeable and I appreciate what Dr. Frank has brought to the states for viticulture.
